It was an hour after I woke up when Tunde finally arrive.
"Tunde!" I said eagerly, jumping up and down on the bed like a little girl.
"Hey sis, how are you doing? I heard you escaped death." He said smiling fondly at me.
"Which death, you can't get rid of me so easily johr." I said, hugging him as he sat beside me on the bed.
"Lewa, how are you doing?" He greeted her as she gave him a bright smile.
"I'm good ooh, just here. So did you bring the guy along?" She asked as he nod his head.
"Come in Ire." He said as a guy walk in. I almost lost my breath as I stare at him, he was tall, obviously built - not built like a very big chest but built anyways- and fit, he was putting on a fitted round neck top and a random dark jean.
His face was one that girls would definitely fight over, he had a bored look on his face like he'd rather be anywhere else. The look made him more attractive and I struggle to come up with a word as I try to keep my attraction to the guy under control.
"Hi..." Shalewa stuttered as I realized I wasn't the only one affected by his presence. I take a silent deep breath as I said,
"Hello." My voice sounded firm but deep down I was hyperventilating.
"Hello ladies." He said, a small smirk on his face as If he knew exactly how he was affecting us. Then and there, I felt a need to bring down his smirk so I said,
"Definitely doesn't look like a bodyguard, Tunde is this the bodyguard you were talking about?" I asked with a sarcastic tone.
"I might not look like it but I'm the best in my field baby girl." He said, his voice held some kind of emotion that I couldn't unravel. Maybe contempt, I don't know but that just adds to the list. Mysterious.
"Ire, this is Shalewa and Tutu." Tunde introduced us to each other.
"Shalewa, Tutu, meet Ire." He said as Ire shot us a smile that actually look a bit sincere, the only problem was that it was shot at Shalewa and not me. If my instincts were right at that moment, I knew he did that on purpose so I scoffed.
"Nice to meet you." He said, smirking at me as he heard my scoff.

Ire's POV
On getting to the hospital, I was very surprised to see the almost dead girl all bubbly and alive. Her appearance was the only thing that showed her near death experience.
She was putting on a bum short with a singlet like top, Her hair was packed atop her head but it was messy, her face was pale and look tired but fresh nevertheless.
"She is beautiful." I thought as I felt an invisible blow to my gut. Before I had the time to deal with my subconscious, the other girl sitting on the chair greeted me nervously.
I turn to look at her, while the sick one on the bed also greeted me but, more firmly. I was a bit taken aback because I am used to ladies reaction to me but I ignored her odd reaction and return their greetings.
I was about to introduce myself when the girl on the bed made a sarcastic comment about me not looking like a bodyguard, I felt a bit insulted because truly I definitely didn't look as packed as many guys in that department but I was the best in my field and I knew it.
Smiling sweetly at her, I responded with, "I might not look like it but I'm the best in my field baby girl." Fortunately, Tunde introduce us right then.
"Nice to meet you." I smirk hearing the sick girl scoff. I wasn't a bit surprised at her attitude, a lot of celebrities had that attitude.
Although, it took some time to getting used to, it was a natural occurrence among them especially when they felt the people around them aren't worth their time so I decide to ignore her.
"Ire is one of the three CEO's of Ric company's. He's in charge of the bodyguard department." Tunde said, breaking the silence as I lean against the wall.
"Does this one look like he can guard anyone bayi." The sick girl said, throwing me a look that seem to condemn me.
"Tutu!" Tunde cautioned her.
"I'm just saying nah, shebi you said he's in charge. We all know all this nigerian CEO's are lazy, they aren't like the ones we read in the novels that are always working day and night." She said, Pressing her lips together as she threw Tunde an innocent look.
I stare at her lips for a few minute, getting distracted by how pink and full it looks before remembering I was being insulted.
"Guess that means you are lazy also." I replied, a slight smirk still on my face but deep down I was brewing with anger since I had forgotten about her lips and her previous words had finally sink in.
"Excuse me!" She exclaimed, staring at me in annoyance.
"If you don't like being called lazy then, don't call other's lazy either." I snapped, glaring at her too.
"Okay, okay. That's enough." The other lady in the room said, diffusing the tension that was already starting to grow.
"Yea, Tutu caution yourself. Ire is actually one of the best in his field, he has guarded a lot of big and important personalities. I'm very sure guarding you won't be a problem and the only reason I contacted him is because I trust him." Tunde added.
"Alright, alright, I have heard." She said reluctantly.
"Okay, so can you give me a brief of what happened?" I asked, staring straight into her eyes. I brought out my phone as she and the other lady start to explain what happened, I ended up noting some things down on my phone.
"Okay, I'll call some of my guys to guard your door starting tonight since from your story, it sounds like you were the target. You were just lucky to not have been shot on your head or heart." I conclude after listening to their parts of the story.
"I'll have to leave now Tutu, I have a lot of things to cover at work." Tunde said to her while I left the room to make a call. The phone ringed for a while before it was picked up as I walk down the length of the hall.
"Lanre, do you have any project at hand?" I ask my left hand man as he pick the phone.
"Yes, we are yet to settle the senators case so I'm leading the bodyguards guarding him at the moment." He replied.
"Alright then, please get me two of the best guys. I'll send the location to you via sms, I have a new case." I told him.
"Alright no problem, I'll contact Samson and Ayo at once. They just finished a case some days ago." He said.
"Okay, thanks. Bye." I replied, disconnecting the call.
"Okay, it's settled. The guys will be here soon so I'll leave when they arrive." I open the door to tell everyone but realized I was left with only Tutu in the room.
"They left already." She said, turning to look at me before returning her attention to her phone.
"Alright, that's more better then. I have some questions to ask you." I told her, making myself comfortable on the plastic chair beside the bed.
"Shoot." She said, her attention still on her phone.
"Why do you think anyone would want to kill you?" I asked, trying to make small talk but at the same time trying to read and decode her reactions.
She seemed shocked before turning to look at me with a look that says, she couldn't believe I was asking her that question.
She thought about my question for a bit and during that few minutes, her expression and body reactions suggested she was confused about the whole thing herself and, that led me to the assumption that she doesn't know but as we all know, assumptions are sometimes untrue.
I notice her defiant look as a look of realization finally dawn on her face. "Isn't it your job to find out! Why are you asking me?" She hissed, turning away from me.
"How did I end up with a snobbish client." I thought but blurt out instead "Last I remember, I'm not a herbalist so you'd have to help me with clues to find out why someone would try to kill you."
