Ire's Pov
I was busy doing some push up's when the room silence was broken by my phone's ringing tone.
"Hi, It's Irewamiri." I said, in my usual bored tone since it was an unknown number, even though my true caller already notified me of who was calling.
"Hey bro, whatsup. It's Tunde." The caller said.
"Ooh I'm good you, how are you doing?" I asked, getting a bit tired of the small talk.
"I'm okay, are you busy? I would like to see you." He stated his reason for calling.
"No, I'm not. Is something wrong?" I asked.
"Not really but I think I might have a job for you, would you mind meeting me in an hour." He said.
"No, not at all. Where should we meet?" I asked.
"The cafe near your office." He said, I nodded before realizing he couldn't see me. I shook my head at myself as I replied with an,
"Okay, see you soon." I ended the call, did 10 more push up's and went to take a shower. I pull on a round top and a pair of jean paired with a comfortable pair of sneakers before grabbing my wallet, car keys and two phones off the table.
I secured the security of the house, slid into my ferrari and drove off.
I got to the cafe in less than an hour, can't blame me for being a fast driver. Fortunately, Tunde was already seated. I studied him for a few seconds before making my presence known, he looked tense.
"Guy, what's up?" I said, greeting him as we did a random bro hug. We settled down across each other and I ordered a cup of coffee as he began.
"Do you remember that my friend I told you about that his whole family including him except his sister died?" He asked, as I remembered the case which might I add, still sounds very fishy to me.
"Yea, yea." I said, nodding as I sip my beverage.
"Well, something happened to his younger sister yesterday. She got shot." He stopped, looking at me carefully as if to gauge my reaction and expression but I kept cool.
"Ooh, really." I replied. A cool look on my face, it wasn't the first time I would be hearing or experiencing a shoot out after all. Infact, I knew how to handle a gun so it wasn't really a big deal.
"Would you like me to do something about it?" I asked, since he wasn't about to move to the main reason he had call me. I was very sure it wasn't just to tell me the story.
"Well, I'd like it if you'd guard her for the time being. You know she's an actress and she would start shooting some movies soon. Also, I want her to be safe while going for her interviews and all." He said. I was already shaking my head even before he ended his speech.
"Well, I can give out some of our best guys to guard her..." I started but he stopped me.
"No, I want you to guard her. It's only you I trust, please I really owe this to her." He pleaded.
"You know I don't do celebrities, I don't have the patience for their scandals." I explained to him.
"I know but please just do this for me." He said. I thought about it for a while, sighed heavily and agreed to it.
"Okay bro, for old time sakes." I said, since he doesn't look like he was changing his mind anytime soon.
"Thanks bro." He shot me a smile.
"You are welcome, who did you say the person is again?" I asked.
"Tutu Johnson." He replied as I groaned.
"Isn't that the scandalous girl that's always on the entertainment section of the paper?" I asked, trying to recall her face which I've seen a few times I have read the section.
He laughed, "She really isn't like that when you get to know her." He defends her.
"Well, there's a truth out of every rumor." I simply said, typing the name into my phone since I'd have to do a background check on her later.

I was currently lying on the hospital bed. Looking around, I noticed it is a private ward.
"Well that's what I get for being a celebrity." I thought as I sigh, gaining Lewa's attention from where she was seated lost in her tab.
"Ooh, you are awake. How do you feel?" She asked, coming closer.
"I'm good, Have you contacted Tunde?" I asked, remembering I told her to when I first regained consciousness in the hospital.
"Yea, I did. He came by earlier, he said he had to go see someone and that he'd be back again.
"Alright then." I groan, sitting up.
"Can you pass me the bottle of water?" I ask, pointing to the branded bottle water on the bedside drawer. She passed it to me and I mutter a silent "Thank you."
"So update me. Has the person who shot me being caught?" I asked, gulping down a large amount of water as my heart beat fast. I was scared earlier and still scared, I had thought about a thousand and one reason why anyone will try to kill me and I was trying to be brave about it.
"No, the security personnel checked every nook and cranny of the area but they the didn't find the shooter." She said.
"Maybe it was one of the workers, maybe the person disguised himself." I reasoned.
"Yea, maybe but it's not our job to find out and since you don't want the police, Tunde found us a great solution to the problem." She said, crossing and uncrossing her legs.
"Really?! What's that?" I asked, curiously.
"He got a private investigator or sort. They will be here soon but before then let me call the nurse to come and check up on you." She said, standing up to probably go to the nurse's station.
"Alright then, I hope he arrives quick." I replied. She left me to my thought as I look around me paranoid, I start to imagine a lot of scenarios of an assassin jumping in through the window to kill me as I start to shiver in fear.
Fortunately, the nurse entered then with Lewa as I calm my erratic breathing.
"Hello Miss Tutu, how are you feeling." She said smiling at me as she did a regular checkup on me.
"I'm fine." I replied her as she nods in reply, a smile still on her face.
"Everything looks good, you'd be released soon don't worry. You should get her something to eat, she's supposed to use her drugs in 30 minutes time. I'll come back then to administer it." She said, referring to Lewa at the latter.
"Ooh alright, I will. Thank you." She replied as the nurse left the room.
"Will you like to eat rice?" Lewa asked, as I pick up my phone from beside me.
"Yea, thank you." I said as she left the room. I switch on my data and start to go through my social media, I selected some months old pictures that I haven't posted and post it on my Instagram with a love emoji caption.
I replied some of my whatsapp messages from friends and acquaintances before posting a funny meme on my status.
Lewa arrived while I was at it with a plastic take away containing Fried rice, salad and chicken with a bottle of Pulpy orange.
"Thanks." I smile at her as I ate the meal while she busied herself with her tablet probably dealing with my schedules that has been disrupted. The nurse soon arrive to give me my medication and I slept off a while after.
