Chapter 41
Grace's Point of View:
The smile on my face vanished when I saw a skeleton walking towards us.
"What the hell! Valia, look over there!" I said.
Blood drained from my face.
Some more skeletons stood up and started walking towards us.
"Rarisa!" Valia muttered a spell.
I waited for something to happen, but nothing happened.
Valia muttered the same spell many times but it didn't work.
Oh my gosh, I think I am gonna die today. Why aren't the spells working?
"What the f***!? What has happened to magic?!" Valia said with wide eyes.
He looked terrified too.
"My magic isn't working, Grace. We won't be able to teleport."
"Let's run, Valia."
He nodded and we started running away from those skeletons. I am glad these skeletons weren't fast.
More and more skeletons were headed towards us.
What the hell is going on here?!
"I'm extremely sorry, Grace. I didn't know this will happen," Valia said, running alongside.
"Oh, Valia what if these skeletons catch us? I don't think we'll ever escape this place. It's huge."
"I am dreading that," he said.
A person in black clothes was coming towards the skeletons on a silver disc. The only people traveling on silver discs are the Slaves of Darkness.
I saw a huge boulder.
"Maybe we could hide behind it, Valia? There's a Slave of Darkness there," I said, pointing towards the boulder.
"Good idea," he replied, and we headed towards the it.
I rested my back against the boulder and started panting.
"I bet my magic isn't working because of Lord Darkness," Valia said between his heavy breathes.
I groaned internally. I had run too much today: first in the city and now here. Today isn't a great day.
"How will we escape this place, Valia?" I said with my furrowed brows.
"I don't know," he said, frowning at me.
"It was a bad plan to come here," I mumbled.
"Yes, you are right," Valia said.
From the corner of my eye, I saw the Slave of Darkness flying near us.
"Only if we could have that person's silver disc to get away," I sighed.
"What a brilliant idea, Grace!" Valia whispered and took out a dagger.
He aimed his dagger at the Slave of Darkness.
A gasp escaped my mouth when I saw that dagger pierced that person. He fell down along with his silver disc.
"Is he dead?" I asked.
"I am not sure, let's go and check," he said.
I wasn't really happy with his plan of checking the Slave of Darkness is dead or not? There were so many freaking skeletons around.
Well, but we do need that disc.
Valia and I bolted towards the Slave of Darkness.
The silver disc was huge.
Wow, how will we even use this?
"This guy's dead," Valia smirked.
Wow, he said that like he killed a little bug.
"O-Okay," I said.
"How will we even fly on this thing?" I asked, touching the silver disc.
"I know to use it," Valia said, gazing the disc.
"Well, do it then," I hushed, seeing some skeletons walking towards us.
We both stood on that disc.
The disc started to float in the air.
I was amazed.
"Hold me tight, this is gonna be a very fast journey," Valia said and we started flying away from the Lake of Death.

Third Person's Point of View:
"Elizabeth, we'll capture the souls by the end of this year," Lord Darkness said, plucking a petunia from the castle's garden.
"Can't wait for it, my lord," Elizabeth said.
"Me neither," Lord Darkness said and walked away from her.
He strolled around the garden with the petunia in his hand, thinking about the ways to bring more dark energy in the world.
A few moments later he hummed a song which his mother used to sing for him when he was a little child.
'Only if I could provide all this wealth to my mother when she was alive,' Lord Darkness thought.
Andrew walked around the garden unaware of Lord Darkness' presence.
"Mister Andrew," Lord Darkness said.
Andrew turned around with shock on his face.
"Yes, my lord," he walked towards Lord Darkness.
"Aren't you the beloved of Grace?" Lord Darkness said, with a smirk on his face.
"Yes," a smile formed on Andrew's face when he heard his beloved's name.
"Do you still love her?" Lord Darkness said, with a frown on his face.
"Yes, I always will," Andrew said.
Lord Darkness clenched his jaw. Love doesn't have a place in the Darkness' side. He gazed at the petunia in his hand and got lost in his memories.
"She'll be back to the house soon, Valia," Milorad said.
He was so nervous, he was gonna propose his beloved to marry him today.
"Don't be so jittery. It's going to be all great," Valia said, drinking blood.
"This is so great! Oh gosh, Milorad, you're so romantic," Elizabeth slapped Valia's shoulder, "Why can't you ever be romantic, Val?"
"I'm very much romantic," Valia laughed.
"Sure," Elizabeth replied, sarcastically and rolled her eyes.
"She's here," Milorad whispered.
The door opened and Petunia entered the house.
Petunia had a sour expression on her face.
"Milorad, I'm sick of you. I just can't be with you anymore. I wanted a rich beloved, I don't know why I ended up with you," Petunia said.
Milorad's jaw dropped.
"W-What are you saying, my love?" He said.
"I am leaving you forever. I can't stand this poorness anymore. I'm marrying Jaziak tomorrow," she said.
"Please... please don't leave me," Tears fell out of Milorad's eyes. He couldn't believe all this. How could his beloved leave him?
Is wealth greater than love?
"What the hell, Petunia you-" Elizabeth started yelling.
"Shut up, Elizabeth. You and Valia, both stay away from our personal matters," Petunia interrupted her.
"Bye, Milorad," Petunia said and walked out of the house.
Milorad stood still; he was stunned. Elizabeth and Valia tried to talk to him but he didn't utter any word.
Lord Darkness dropped the petunia and squished it badly with his shoes.
"Mister Andrew, I am going to give a very important job now," Lord Darkness smirked.
"Okay, my lord," Andrew said.
"You'll have to behead Grace, fill her blood in a glass and give it to me when we capture her," Lord Darkness smiled widely.
