Chapter 39
Third Person's Point of View:
The Royal castle of the Klataria stood on a small hill in the capital city. Crows and vultures were flying around it.
Lord Darkness in his long black gown walked down the corridor towards the grand hall.
Everyone in his way bowed. They were scared of him.
Lord Darkness smirked. He loves to watch terror in people's eyes.
Two soldiers opened the doors of the grand hall and Lord Darkness entered.
The hall went silent for some seconds.
"All hail Darkness!" People started chanting.
Lord Darkness' blood red lips curled into a smile.
He walked towards his throne; it was made of skulls and bones. His 10-feet tall frame made the people in the grand hall look like dwarfs.
"Silence," he said in his heavy voice and sat on his throne.
"Smith," he said.
"Yes, my Lord," Smith said, stepping forward.
"Is the girl captured?" Lord Darkness asked.
"I'm sorry, my Lord, our soldiers weren't able to bring her. She was last sighted in the city of Serup," Smith replied.
Lord Darkness' golden eyes narrowed at Smith.
"Burn the soldiers who weren't able to bring her to me," His nostrils flared in anger.
"Smith, I want her in this hall soon," he said and stood up.
"Yes, my Lord. She'll be here soon," Smith said.
---
Lord Darkness snapped his fingers and teleported to the streets of the capital city.
He walked around.
"So much has changed," he said to himself.
All the streets were empty, and the shops were closed.
He looked towards the red sky and sighed in relief.
'Soon everything will be mine again,' he thought.
"... you're a loser!"
"Please let me go."
"No, first you'll have to kiss my shoes."
Lord Darkness heard some kids' voices and frowned.
'Glazio,' he whispered and turned into a little boy.
Lord Darkness headed towards the kids.
He saw a red-haired boy hitting another boy.
"Why did you tell your father that I bully you?" the red-haired boy said, slapping.
The other boy had tears in his eyes.
"Who are you?" the red-haired boy asked Lord Darkness.
"Your death," Lord Darkness answered.
"You, little boy, can do nothing," the red-haired boy laughed, ruffling Lord Darkness' hair.
Little did the red-haired boy know that this little boy was no other than Lord Darkness.
"Glazio," he said and turned back into Lord Darkness.
He slapped the red-haired boy hard.
Lord Darkness' eyes were burning with anger.
"Velas," he said, with a smirk.
The red-haired boy turned into ashes.
The other boy's eyes were wide open. He shuddered when Lord Darkness narrowed his eyes towards him.
"Go away, or else I'll devour your blood."
The boy ran away.
Lord Darkness sighed.
The sky was covered with black clouds. The rain had started falling, and the thunder was roaring, but Lord Darkness didn't move. He stood still in the center of the street lost in his memories.
(Note: Lord Darkness' real name is Milorad. It's mentioned in the last chapter)
"Milos, my boy, why don't you go out and play with your friends," Milorad's mother said. She kissed him on his cheek.
"Okay, mother," he said, with a grin on his face.
"Tomorrow you're going to be 6 years old. I'll bake a cake for you," Milorad's mother smiled.
Milorad loved cake. His eyes twinkled with joy hearing it.
"Thank you, mother," he said and hugged her.
"I'll go and play with my friends now," he lied and walked out of his little house.
He never told his mother that he didn't have any friends.
Milorad headed towards the river.
"Hello Milos," Milorad heard Knox's voice.
He turned around and saw Knox and his friends. His heart started pounding.
"Where were you going, Milos?" Knox said, grabbing Milorad's collar.
"Please let me go," Milorad said.
"That's not the answer to my question. Now you'll have to kiss my shoes," Knox said, slapping Milorad.
"No, I won't," Milorad said. Knox punched him.
"Look at your old clothes, you're so poor. Did you beg and get those clothes?" Knox said and laughed.
"Poor Milorad, we hate you," another boy said, punching him.
All the kids started beating Milorad. After some minutes they left him and walked away.
Milorad always tried to stay away from his bullies, but somehow, they always found him.
He was sobbing.
"I never did anything to them. Why do they bully me?" He said to himself.
"Because you are weak, Milorad."
Milorad saw a boy nearly of his age standing near him.
"Who are you?" He asked.
"I am Valia. I am from the city of Serup," Valia smiled.
A loud thunder snapped Lord Darkness back to reality.
He was drenched in rain. He looked towards the sky and smiled.
'Glad I'm not weak anymore,' he thought.

Grace's Point of View:
"Milorad Wincarian is... Lord Darkness. We Wincarians are the family of Lord Darkness."
My jaw dropped. Lord Darkness is a part of my family? Oh my gosh.
I was stunned.
"Gratala what the hell are you talking? This can't be true," an old woman said.
"I don't like liars, Gratala," another man said, with his brows snapped together.
"Wincarians aren't Serupias. If Milorad is Lord Darkness then how the hell is he still alive? He would have already died thousands of years ago," the man sitting beside me said.
"I don't know how he's alive but that's the Wincarian curse. Lord Darkness is a part of our family so Wincarians were called the cursed blood. As years passed people forgot about it," Gratala said.
"Yes, Lord Darkness is Milorad," Valia sighed.
"See, I told you all. You would believe Valia, wouldn't you? After all, because of him Lord Darkness had disappeared the last time," Gratala narrowed her eyes at the old woman.
Oh, my goodness! If he made Lord Darkness disappear then why the heck are people asking me to destroy him? Shouldn't they ask him to do that?
This isn't fair. I am just 20 years old who doesn't even know the Klatarian language. They should ask Valia. He's the oldest vampire alive.
"Milorad Wincarian was my best friend," Valia said, making everyone in the room gasp.
