Nao looked around, her fingers unconsciously clutching the folder in her hand as her gaze roamed what would be her room from now on. The room was bigger than her entire apartment so far, but that didn't mean she had to like it. Nao sighed heavily approaching the bed, she picked up her suitcase and sat next to it, stretching out her legs and looked at the folder with hatred.

That cardboard paper had changed her whole life, it had taken everything away from her, her peace, her happiness, her freedom. "Nao?" she jumped up, clutching the folder to her chest. "What do you want?" the disgust in her voice cut through the boundless malice Nao felt towards the man opposite her. "Nao, I did it for your own good" he sighed and shook his head. "For my good? Who are you to decide for me what is good and what is not for my life?" she hissed, tears filling her eyes.

"Nao, there was a reason you grew up this way, to keep you away from everything." he stepped towards her and she held up a hand to stop him. "Don't you dare approach me, Kim Namjoon!" he looked at her desperately but stopped. "Nao, please..." she shook her head and took a step back, looking at him so coldly and with such hatred that his heart almost stopped. "You took everything from me, Kim Namjoon, not only that, but you threw me into the arms of a man I don't know, you ruined me and my life!" Nao yelled at him, wiping her tears with the back of her hand.

"I'm trying to protect you, Nao, I'm your brother, I would never..." she screeched, loud and piercing, slamming the folder into the ground, shaking her head hysterically with her eyes closed. "You will never be my brother, I don't know who you are, I don't know you!" Nao screamed at him, tearing his soul to shreds. "I never stopped watching you Nao, with our father and then after his death, you are my sister, I would never hurt you!" Namjoon tried to calm her down, to convince her that everything that had happened in her life so far was only to keep her safe.

"Go away" she looked away from him and turned her back on him. "Nao, please hear me..." she covered her ears with her hands and he sighed. "Okay, we'll talk when you calm down" he stared at her tense shoulders for a moment, her back arched, he could hear her sobs and they hurt him like no one ever could. "I love you, Nao" he murmured quietly and walked out of the bedroom, leaving his sister to process the recent events in her life.

"She'll understand you, hyung" Namjoon nodded and sat down on the couch next to Jin, not only his friend but now his brother-in-law. "She hates me, Taehyung, she hates all of us" Namjoon propped his elbows on his knees and put his head in his hands. "What Nao is going through isn't easy Namjoon" Hoseok handed him a glass of whiskey and he gratefully sipped the bitter liquid.

"In just two days, she discovered that her parents are not her parents, that she has a brother who is a mobster, with enemies at that, that her parents are dead, killed by these same enemies, that her whole life so far is was arranged and ended up being married to a man she doesn't know" Hoseok put a hand on his shoulder. "Give her time to recover" Namjoon nodded, he knew that sooner or later Nao would understand and accept what had happened, if not, at least she would make up.

"Thanks hyung" Namjoon put his hand on Jin's knee and looked at him, Jin smiled. "There's nothing to thank me for, Namjoon, you know any of us would do that for others." he shook his head, leaning back. "I promised you I'd take care of your sister, I'm just keeping my promise." he shrugged and took a sip of his own drink. "I know, and thanks and sorry anyway, you're going to have a hard time with her at first." Namjoon muttered and shook his head for the umpteenth time.

"I'll handle it, the more important thing is that Woobin doesn't get to her" Jin smiled slightly, but he himself had no idea how he would handle the woman upstairs. "Still, I wonder how he managed to find her, except for us, no one outside of this room knew of your sister's existence" Yoongi joined in the conversation. "I don't know, I always made sure none of my people watched her for more than a month and then I killed them" Namjoon looked thoughtfully into his glass.

"Damn, Namjoon, that's a lot of people!" Jimin gasped and Namjoon shrugged. "She's my sister, Jimin, in my place, what would you do?" Namjoon asked and Jimin nodded in understanding, thinking he probably would have done the same. "Okay, but why did you marry her off to Jin?" Jungkook asked quietly and Jin shot him a sharp look. "What would you do for your wife, kid?" Namjoon asked him simply, knowing that Jin also knew why Namjoon asked him to marry his sister.

"I'd probably even die for her..." Jungkook trailed off, only now realizing the meaning of Jin's marriage. Each of them would risk a lot for Nao just because she was Namjoon's sister, but now the two Kims would risk absolutely everything to protect her. Her marriage to Jin also gave her the protection of the smaller groups that worked for them. "Namely, if I just introduced Nao as my missing sister, everyone would go after her and it would endanger her life. But as the wife of one of us, they will either have to respect and protect her or die" he explained patiently Namjoon.

Her marriage to Jin protected Nao from unwanted and power-hungry little souls who would pursue her just for the chance to rise under Bangtan's protection. So the only thing they had to worry about was Woobin not getting to her. "Now the more important thing is to find out how Woobin found out about Nao and find out if we have a spy" Jin reminded, not wanting his marriage to continue to be discussed.

"What are we going to do?" Taehyung asked, positioning himself across from Namjoon and Jin. "There's no point in hiding Nao anymore after her existence is out. Right now, she's safest to be introduced as my wife at every opportunity" Jin muttered thoughtfully. "And how are you going to deal with that? She's made it clear she wants nothing to do with you or Namjoon?" Hoseok asked. "I'll figure out how to convince her" Jin huffed, squinting at Namjoon's sullen face.

"How exactly is this publicity going to protect her?" Jimin interjected uncertainly. "That way, more eyes will be watching her, and our reputation will keep the dogs away from her" Jin explained. "Fear, I like it" Yoongi nodded approvingly. "I don't know man, it seems risky to me, isn't it easier to hide her again?" Taehyung looked up at Namjoon. "Hiding her from a baby, different name, different parents, no relation to us and yet they found her. Where do you think we can hide her and it's safer?" Namjoon asked with a frown and Taehyung sighed.

"Let's first give her time to calm down and get used to her new situation, we have to take care of the spy in the meantime." Jin snapped, his tone a clear signal that their conversation was over and they all nodded, making an excuse to leave. "Did I make a mistake?" Namjoon asked when he and Jin were alone. "No, I promise to take care of her Namjoon" Jin shook his head.

"I believe you, hyung, but I want her to be happy too" he sighed, rubbing his face, suddenly feeling terribly tired. "You know I would never hurt her" Namjoon nodded. "I know, I just feel guilty. It's actually my fault, I put you both in a difficult situation" the apology was written on his face and in his gaze and Jin shook his head reassuringly.

"That was the best decision we came up with in two days, Namjoon, besides, if I didn't want this marriage, I wouldn't have agreed, you know" Jin smiled and Namjoon nodded. Despite everything, he was thankful for a friend like Jin, not everyone would act like him, complicating his life with an unknown woman, even if she was the sister of one of his best friends.

Nao had curled up in one corner of the bedroom, hidden behind a huge sofa, and clutched the folder, crushing it between her fingers, staring into nothingness. No matter how hard she tried, she had read the information her so-called brother had given her dozens of times, but she knew nothing of it, she didn't recognize any of her features in the faces of the pictures that were supposed to represent her real parents.

Her tears had dried up, her life had collapsed, she was forcibly married to a man she didn't know, a criminal, a murderer, in order to be "protected" by someone she had never met or heard of. Kim Namjoon had cried with her, he seemed really hurt by her words, but had he expected that he would take everything away from her and she would just trust him and willingly obey him?

There was no point in trying to escape, the house she was in was unknown to her, it was heavily guarded, and probably even a sparrow couldn't fly over without being noticed. What was she going to do? Was there even a way out of here? Her blank gaze disinterestedly scanned the room again, or at least what was visible from behind the couch she had hid behind. How funny the very thought sounded to her, to hide, but from what, from whom?

Even if she managed to escape, where would she go? The people she thought of as family turned out to be just hired to take care of her, paid to make her happy, to feel loved, the only place she was felt safe, it turned out to be a lie. Nao was also an introvert, which kept her acquaintances to a minimum, but she couldn't trust any of them, she wasn't that close to anyone.

She couldn't run away alone and hide somewhere, she had no money, and as far as she knew her brother and her husband had options and they would just find her and bring her back. No matter how much she thought, there was no choice, or she had to live and accept her new life or just... Her eyes landed on the bathroom door. She got up, feeling like she was carrying a whole mountain on her shoulders, and slowly walked to the bathroom. The bright light made her squint as her eyes adjusted to the lighting after the darkness of the bedroom.

She walked over to the huge tub and turned on the water, then looked around, finding various toiletries, but not what she was looking for. Her gaze returned to the tub, which was quickly filling, and then to the several bottles of hair products. Apparently her brother and her husband had made sure she didn't miss anything. She picked up a thick glass perfume bottle and slammed it against the mirror, shattering it into large pieces.

Nao took one of the pieces and squeezed it lightly, feeling its sharp edges dig into her skin, but it was as if her entire body had turned into numb, insensible flesh, barely moving under the grand commands of her increasingly slow-functioning mind. She stepped into the tub and hesitated for just a moment before sinking the glass deeply into first one of her wrists and then the other. Nao dropped the piece to the ground, rested her elbows on the edge of the tub so that her wrists were bleeding above the water, and with a sigh she closed her eyes and laid her head back.

Only a few minutes later, she felt a slight dizziness, a calmness that took over every corner of her mind and convinced her that she simply had no other choice. No one was waiting for her, no one was looking for her and definitely no one loved her, and to be a toy in the hands of strangers was the last thing she would want. So Nao just let go of that calmness, the feeling of the warm water around her body, the lightness she suddenly felt and the darkness that was quickly engulfing her.

Jin and Namjoon jerked their heads up at the sound of breaking glass and briefly exchanged glances before they both jumped up and ran up the stairs and into Nao's bedroom. The door was unlocked, slightly ajar as Namjoon had left it. Jin flew in first and turned on the light, looking around the bedroom, there was no sign of damage or Nao. The bathroom! "Namjoon!" he nodded to the slightly open door and the two of them were inside in a flash, freezing in place at the sight of the tub full of bloody water spilling onto the floor and Nao's lifeless body.

"Call a doctor!" Jin pushed the frozen Namjoon, who was staring at his sister in horror. "Shit, Kim Namjoon, pull yourself together and call a doctor!" Jin pulled two towels from the rack behind him and wrapped them around Nao's wrists, then tried to feel her pulse on her neck. "Shit, shit!" he stepped into the tub and crouched down, carefully lifting Nao's body and pulling her out of the water.

"Namjoon!" he screamed, almost in his face, startling the man, who until now was as if hypnotized. "Listen to me Namjoon, her pulse is too weak, if I don't take care of her, it will be too late for a doctor" Namjoon nodded as if in a dream. "Call a doctor Namjoon!" Jin commanded now firmly and Namjoon dug into his pockets for his phone. Jin hopped out of the bathroom and carefully placed Nao on the bed, returning to the bathroom for the first aid kit.

While Namjoon was on the phone with their GP, explaining the situation, Jin carefully untied the bandage on Nao's left wrist, looking between the incision, her face, and watching her chest rise. "Don't give up baby, I won't let you die in my arms!" he growled as his fingers carefully cleaned the blood that was still freely gurgling from her arterial vein.

"The doctor is on his way, what can I do to help?" Namjoon precariously stood behind Jin, who was gritting his teeth trying to stop the bleeding. "In their first aid kit is a paste, a blue tube, it's for hemostasis, give it to me" Jin ordered and Namjoon dug into the first aid kit, a second later handing him the paste. "Damn it!" Jin carefully applied the paste to the edge of the cut, soaking up the blood first, hoping the salve would work.

He repeated the same with her other wrist, watching carefully to see if the left one continued to bleed. "Why is the fucking doctor so late!" Jin growled, trying to maintain his composure, which his friend and his wife needed right now. "Come on baby, don't leave me!" he wrapped some gauze around both of her wrists and then leaned over her, pressing the gauze firmly with his hands, hoping that would be enough until the paste worked and the bleeding stopped.

His eyes followed the heave of her breasts, weaker but steady. "Come on, baby, I'm not leaving on the first night of our marriage, at least give me a chance," he mentally prayed. His head snapped back and he let out a relieved sigh as the doctor entered the bedroom and hurried down to his patient. Jin backed away, but stayed close behind the doctor, watching his every movement. He didn't know how long he had been squeezing her wrists, but his fingers had become stiff.

Doctor Sang placed Nao's system as well as a blood bank on a makeshift stand and sighed, looking at her bandaged wrists. "Miss Kim.." Jin cut him off. "Mrs. Kim, this is my wife!" he snarled at the last one and Dr. Sang raised an eyebrow. "Okay, Mrs. Kim needs to rest. She's lost a lot of blood, but she'll be back on her feet in a few days, unfortunately, she'll probably be scarred" he sighed and began to pack his things. "Call me if anything happens, but I think he'll be sleeping for the next eight to ten hours." Jin nodded and sent him to the bedroom door.
