The Boiling Isles is an archipelago in the Demon Realm. Situated in the Boiling Sea, it is made from the decaying remains of a fallen Titan and populated by magical creatures, predominantly witches and demons. The Isles serve as the main setting of the series, with the mysterious Owl House situated on one of its bluffs.

Y/N slept in the bed that he shared with his wife, Eda. Her messy silver and grey hair practically covered the male next to her. Y/N gently brushed off the hair on him as he slowly awaked. He smiled as he looked at her.

Eda is a tall, slender woman in her mid-forties, with ivory skin, pointed ears, maroon lips, and golden eyes. Her untamed hair is thick, long, and layered with tones of gray. She has a screw-in golden fang that sticks out, orange claw-like nails, and an oval amber gem on her sternum, which helped indicate when the curse was getting worse.

As a child, she had orange hair. However due to her...condition, she now had grey hair.

Y/N looked down at her big belly. Eda was eight months pregnant and due to go into labor any day soon. This was gonna be their second baby. Third, if you wanna count King.

King is a canine-like creature that somewhat resembles a fox. He has mostly dark grey fur, although his belly and the tip of his tail are covered in purplish-grey fur. The highlight of his appearance is a dog-like skull with white horns on his head, one of which is broken.

King is loud, feisty, self-centered, expressive, lazy, comedic and constantly laughs at anything that gives him enjoyment. So it was easy to see why Y/N saw him as a kid.

Y/N leaned over and kissed his wife on the cheek.  Eda's eyes slowly fluttered open.

Y/N snuggled up with her and pretend to be asleep. He just wanted to snuggle with her and stay in bed with her just a little longer.

Eda looked at him and smirked. She knew what he was doing. They had been married for years and this wasn't the first time something like this happened. But she decided to mess around with him.

"I'm gonna get you!" She said teasingly and started tickling him. Y/N's eyes shot open and he began to laugh.

"N-n-no! S-stop!" He said uncontrollably laughing and tried to escape.

"Make me." Eda said as she tickled him. She sat on his lap to make sure that he didn't escape. Y/N squirmed desperately.

"L-l-let me go!" He begged.

"Only if you say that I'm the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles." Eda said.

"Eda your the most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles. Also your incredibly sexy and look great undressed!" Y/N said just to mess with her. Eda blushed brightly at that.

"Well...your not wrong." Eda said as she stopped tickling. Y/N leaned up and kissed his wife on the lips.

"Morning most powerful witch on the Boiling Isles." Y/N said.

"Morning (Nickname)." Eda said getting up. Y/N got up with her and went to the shower.

Eda got dressed and looked at pictures of her and Y/N. One was if their wedding. It was a small wedding, with only Y/N's brother, Raine, and Hooty as the only guests.

"Man, it's crowded in here!" Y/N's brother had joked. Eda had laughed at that

There was one picture of them at a carnival. Another picture was of Eda and Y/N in Disneyland. One picture was Eda holding her first baby, Max. Then there was one that they took of Y/N's brother on his wedding day. He had married Eda's sister Lilith. Why he loved Lilith and married her, Eda could not understand.

Eda and Lilith hadn't been on good terms, so they didn't go to the wedding. But they sent a gift, took some food, and took a long distance picture.

There were also pictures of Raine somewhere, but Y/N got rid of them. Eda knew that Y/N hated Raine, question was why though?

Soon Y/N got out of the shower and got dressed.

"So Eda? Any plans today?" Y/N asked her as he dressed up in his favorite outfit. "Sell some stuff in the market." Eda said.

"I still think if we are gonna sell stuff, we need to do it close to a hospital. Your gonna give birth any day now. Last time we were unprepared." Y/N said.

"We weren't unprepared. We were caught off guard, Max was born three weeks early." Eda said. Y/N still remembered how panicked he was when Max was born prematurely. He survived though, thank heaven.

"Don't worry, we'll be ready this time. I promise you, everything will be fine." Eda said as she wrapped her arms around Y/N's neck and gently pecked him on the lips. Y/N just smiled and held both her hands.

She could always make him smile.

"We just gotta be careful of you know who." Y/N said. "Kings just gonna have to live with a baby." Eda said. "No not him." Y/N said. It took Eda a few seconds to know who he was talking about.

"If any guards got any brains, they'll know better than to mess with my kids." Eda's said. Eda is vehemently anti-authoritarian, having little to no respect for laws and authority in general. She refuses to join any of the covens because she views them as crooked and for the limitations they place on magic. She is also not a fan of the educational system for similar reasons, bemoaning its reliance on "blind obedience" and "pointless busywork".
