"Belonging from a middle class family, means leaving your dreams in the middle."
Thought Bella, a girl in her sweet sixteen, while gazing at stars, with a faded smile on her face.
"Seeing the dreams is easy, but completing them is a hindrance of this society."
Advised her twin-sister, shravani, who was standing beside her, enjoying the cold-breeze.
"But my dream was just to go to my dream university, symbiosis (pune), for the management course. But dad strictly said no, because of this society's lower thinking.
'If a girl will live alone, outside her city, then she will be spoiled.'
Should we stop seeing dreams, just because we are 'girls', I know he is just concerned about us, but we girls just can't sit keeping hands in hands." Whispered bella, and a tear escaped from her eyes.
"Why are you crying? You are in 11th standard, you have a year from now, might 'papa' will say 'yes', in future seeing your dedication."
Muttered shravani, wiping her sister's tears.
"I know, papa is never going to say 'yes', because there are a lot of crimes happening around us and he just wants us to stay safe. But it's painful shravani, seeing my dreams breaking in front of my eyes."
Shrieked bella.
"You are overthinking, you know what? You are making a forecast about the future. Nothing like this is gonna happen, you are going to live your dreams, be positive."
Adviced, a concerned shravani.
"Don't know why? But there is an unknown fear in my heart, it is feeling like my dreams are going to break. I'm never gonna live my dreams. There is a lot of negativity going on inside my mind. But let's hope for the best. I wish whatever you said a few minutes ago, come true."
Muttered Bella, and went dozing off.
