9: Lefty
The next day, Mike was a tad bit late as he said he would be, but Helpy wasn't anywhere to be found. Mike of course, went looking for the little bear cub, thinking it could've been a game of hide and seek or something. He was a playful one after all. But, by now, he would've heard him giggle or at least whisper something prideful to himself.
"Helpy! Helpy, where are you?" Mike called out after looking under a table but still failing to see him anywhere. But then, heard a door open and felt someone hug his leg. The purple man looked down and saw Helpy, seeing to have finally come out into the light. "There you- Helpy? Are you ok, little buddy?"
Helpy sniffled before looking up and shaking his head.
Mike's heart clenched a little at the sight of the little one so upset. "What's wrong...?"
Helpy didn't speak for about two minutes, nor did he let go. Until finally muttering, "N-Nightmare..."
Mike gave the little bear of look of empathy and then knelt down to his level, sort of unknowingly forcing him to let go of his leg. "Hey, you gotta know it was just a dream. Whatever you saw in there isn't going to hurt you."
"I-I know, but..." The little bear whimpered like a hurt puppy despite being an animatronic bear cub. "I-It scared me."
"You wanna talk about it?" He asked.
Helpy shook his little head. "N-No thanks..."
Mike sighed and then stood up. "Well, I guess I can give you the day off for now. You don't seem to be in a condition to handle any sort of startling today."
"N-No!" Helpy exclaimed suddenly. "I can! I just...don't wanna be alone right now." He said, following Mike to their office to begin the day again, since the pizzeria was already complete, with some more things and animatronics still in the process of shipping, including the one and only Freddy Fazbear, or at least, a version of him.
When they entered the office, things began to become boring and quiet as usual...Until Mike spoke up.
"So, when is your brother coming back anyway?" He asked suddenly.
Helpy lifted his head up and then thought for a moment before realizing...a month had passed. Lefty was supposed to be back today! He was actually going tocome back! And just that mere thought made Helpy forget all about his shut downfears and made him smile widely. "Today!! He's supposed to come back today!" The little bear cub cheered.
Mike smiled. "That's great! I can actually see if he's everything you're saying he is."
"He is though! Oh, I can't wait to see him again! I don't have to be lonely anymore, I can play with him again, and he can tell me about his trip! Oh, maybe I can finally figure out what he was even supposed to do!"
"Wait," Mike stopped his little friend for a minute. "He never told you where he was going?"
Helpy turned to Mike. "Well, yeah! He actually didn't know either, Henry just told us it's what he was built for, other than entertaining! Like I said a few weeks ago, I was built for aiding and he was built for entertaining."
"Henry is one strange man..." Mike mumbled, remembering how odd he would be at times, building and admiring his creations as if they were real...But he always said that his two children were his greatest creations ever. It made Mike's heart clench at the memory of his father, William Afton taking Charlotte and murdering her in an alley, forcing Henry to isolate himself and his wife to take their son and leave. It almost sounded like their situation...At least that's what he thought before finding out the monster was really his own father.
"Yeah, he kinda is." Helpy giggled. "But, he's nice and my creator!"
Sooner or later, Mike and Helpy began to talk as if the nightmare had never happened and smiles were almost contagious thanks to the little bear. And what was even better is that it seemed that there were no animatronics today and the tasks seemed to go by shorter. And soon enough? It was time for the last salvaging, which instantly put a downer on the mood.
As they walked, Helpy began to notice that Mike always had some sort of relationship with the salvages. The green rabbit being his father apparently, and the creepy lobster clown girl being his sister. He began to wonder if he would meet his uncle or if he knew the mangled mess in a family way too.
They stopped when they reached the door and Mike looked down at Helpy. "You ready?"
Helpy nodded and then tried to open the door, but once again couldn't reach the handle. Mike laughed and opened the door...But what they saw was certainly shocking, but it was something, no someone, Mike had never encountered before...
It was a black bear with one missing eye on the left side while his other eye that was there was a golden color. He was wearing both a red top hat and red bow tie, the color seeming to work perfectly in sync with his black body color. Finally, he had a golden star on his chest, one which would normally seem out of place, but worked perfectly for this animatronic. It seemed normal, but for some reason, Mike knew something was not right.
Helpy's eyes went wide. "L-Lefty...? LEFTY!" The little bear cub exclaimed, running over to his brother. "You're back! I can't believe it! You're..." He then noticed that he seemed to be shut down. The little bear seemed oblivious of the tension that Mike was feeling. "Come on, big bro! You can't stay asleep forever!"
"Helpy...I don't think you should be doing that." Mike said as he took a step forward.
"What are you talking about, Mike?" Helpy asked, an obvious smile on his face. "It's Lefty! Nothing's wrong with him!"
"Then why isn't he awake?" Mike asked, taking another step forward, and then another until he was close enough to see the bear clear as crystal, but still keeping his distance.
Helpy didn't answer for a while and turned to his brother. "Yeah, Lefty! Why aren't you-"
Suddenly, Lefty's single eye turned from gold to purple and the black bear stood with a beast like growl.
"L-Lefty?!" Helpy exclaimed as he took a large step back.
Lefty turned his head and looked down at Helpy, and growled like a wild animal, stomping over to his little brother before Mike shocked him with his taser.
"STAY AWAY FROM HIM!" He yelled, gripping his taser.
Lefty turned to Mike with a growl and swatted him to the wall with his powerful arms, like an actual grizzly bear would, and being a robot certainly didn't make it any less powerful.
"Lefty, what are you doing?!?" Helpy exclaimed, hut was grabbed by the neck and lifted into the air, forced to stare at his brother's now animalistic eye. As he stared at it, he saw that it didn't show anything of the animatronic he was built with. That stare only screamed out 'different'.
Lefty growled, showing his non sharp teeth as if they were fangs of a beast.
"L-Lefty..." Helpy whimpered, no longer struggling in his grip. "P-Please...I'm your little brother!"
Silence began to set between the two...Suddenly, Lefty let go of Helpy, his eye beginning to flicker from gold to purple again. Lefty then roared in pain before suddenly shutting down and falling to his knees and then onto the floor.
"LEFTY!!!" Helpy screamed, running over and trying to wake up him but to no avail. When he failed, he finally began to cry once more.
Mike coughed a bit before getting up and walking over to the now crying bear cub. "Helpy...I...I'm so sorry."
Helpy sobbed his heart out, not even noticing Mike's attempts at comforting him. "Why...? He was my brother!! He d-didn't do anything to g-get this!" He whimpered.
Mike finally couldn't take it and hugged the little one, letting him sob tears of oil into his shirt as he rubbed his back in circles. "It's ok, Helpy...I'll fix him. I promise. For now, we gotta keep him in here. Your brother is not himself...I can't risk him hurting you again or anyone else."
Helpy's sobbing slowed down, but only a little and refused to stop. "O-Ok...C-Can I stay w-with you...? I...I don't wanna be here t-today..."
"Of course."
Later...
Lefty woke up with a groan, his systems slowly turning on one by one until his visuals went back on and he saw he was in the salvaging room. "H-Huh...? Where...What...Wasn't I just in the street a couple seconds ago? How am I in the salvaging room?"
"Because we put you in there." A voice cackled, followed by a psychopathic giggle and a light, high pitched one.
Lefty quickly stood up, looking around before suddenly having his body tied up by wires. "Huh?! What is going on?!"
Then, the face of the one who tied him up showed right in front of Lefty's face and laughed. It was Molten Freddy.
"You again?!" Lefty screamed, already trying to escape, but to no avail once again.
"Don't even try it. It's pointless to escape." The voice cackled before revealing themselves as the monster's leader, Scraptrap, with his daughter, Elizabeth Afton, or rather Scrap Baby beside him.
Lefty growled at the rabbit. "What did you do to me?!"
"Nothing at all. What I did to The Puppet on the other hand, is a different story." Scraptrap said with a toothy grin.
Lefty hissed at Scraptrap, but was slashed in the face by Scrap Baby's claws. "Don't hiss at my father..." She snarled.
Scraptrap raised a hand. "Not now, Elizabeth. There is a time for violence and a time for manipulation."
Scrap Baby nodded and took a step back to let Scraptrap do his work. The rabbit simply walked over to the cassette tape used for the salvaging and ejected the tape, before pulling out his own and inserting it into it.
"What is that?" Lefty asked, still snarling.
Scraptrap grinned. "Something to make you more...obedient. And maybe this time, you'll actually tear apart your brother."
Lefty went wide eyed. "I...I hurt....I hurt Helpy...." He whispered before hearing music play from the cassette tape. But the music was actual beginning to hurt him...Or at least, what was inside him. It was getting into his head as his eye flickered from gold to purple once more.
Molten Freddy laughed. "I LIKE THIS SONG!"
"S-Stop it!! W-What are you-" Lefty screamed, trying to get the song out of his ears, but it was forcing its way into his system...Until, his mind went blank and his eye turned purple.
Scrap Baby grinned. "As long as Charlotte is inside you...You're all ours."
