22: Glamrock Chica
The three headed up Roxy's service elevator and were about to walk through her room before they froze...when they heard...crying?
Roxy was...crying?
Freddy's heart completely shattered and he slowly started to walk forward to comfort her, but Gregory stopped him since they would likely be caught. But it got harder for Freddy because he could hear Roxy cry HARDER.
Helpy whimpered a little, tears in his eyes. Gregory's eyes softened before he noticed a nearby pebble. He grabbed it, and peeked inside the room once the metallic door slowly slid up. He then threw the pebble against her wall.
Roxy's eyes widened and she shot up. "Who's there?!" She then growled. "It's nothing. Don't get distracted...GET BACK OUT THERE!" She screamed at herself before running out of her room, likely on the hunt again.
The gang then entered her room, making sure she was out of Rockstar Row before leaving Roxy's room as well.
"...why was she crying...?" Helpy whispered.
Freddy sighed, patting Helpy's head. "I...do not know."
After getting the Party Pass from Chica's room, Gregory looked at Helpy. "You're sure you'll be okay without us...?"
Helpy nodded. "Yeah! It'll be in and out! I'll come back with that Faz Cam!"
Freddy knelt down, setting a hand on his shoulder. "...be safe, Helpy." He then hummed before reaching inside his chest and pulling out a second Fazwatch. "Here. Use this if you do need me."
Helpy smiled, hugging Freddy tightly before he broke the hug shortly after and put on the Fazwatch. "Will do, Freddy! I'll meet up with you in Kids Cove!" He cried out, running off.
Gregory smiled a bit before he climbed inside Freddy's chest. "Alright, let's get moving- Hey...your power's pretty low."
Freddy sighed. "How unfortunate. But do not worry. We can just recharge very quickly and then continue on our way."
After that detour, they headed into Fazer Blast. Freddy's attraction and probably the most popular out of all of them, due to being a laser tag like attraction. And Freddy was easily the most popular character. Gregory could see why though.
Freddy was just so nice...he was a lucky kid to have him on his side.
Gregory gave his Party Pass to the STAFF Bot in front of them before entering. His eyes widened when he saw the colorful area, that looked like a gigantic space station. It even had cutouts of Freddy with a space helmet.
Then, Freddy's voice spoke over the intercom. "Calling all recruits! Fazer Blast is a high intensity space combat simulation! Suit up and save the universe as you blast everyone and everything with high tech laser effects! Blast strangers, blast your friends! Beat the superstar score! And win a free Fazerblaster gun! Enlist now!"
Gregory chuckled and so did Freddy.
Freddy then knelt down. "This place is completely safe, superstar. So? Have a little bit of fun and win that Fazerblaster!"
Gregory smiled wide and then ran off into the entrance, a determined glare across his eyes.
Freddy chuckled, standing up. His parents would've been proud that Gregory was doing so many things by himself...but then he thought back to what Vanessa said. That he couldn't be returned to his parents because there was no record of him...which meant he had NO parents.
...did he even have a home to go back too once the clock hit 6 AM?
Gregory had won Fazer Blast effortlessly, heading into the winner's elevator. His eyes sparkled when he saw a GOLDEN Fazerblaster waiting for him. He grinned almost wickedly, grabbing the blaster. "Heh, let's see how these bots like me now-" His eyes then widened when he saw an open vent shaft.
Curiosity got the best of him and he started to crawl through. Thankfully, there was no Wind Up Music Man. He kept crawling, before he started on a path ABOVE Fazer Blast. He then saw...a room? He couldn't open the door, so he looked inside the window.
The room was lit by purple light, with a dusty arcade machine inside of it. There was seemingly a table, and a makeshift bed of some kind...and finally? There was a name written in purple paint.
"Freddy! That rabbit lady's in a secret room above Fazer Blast! It looks like a hideout...I think her name is...Vanny?"
"Vanny." Freddy repeated. "It is very similar to...Vanessa. And also...bunny. That can not be a coincidence."
Gregory's eyes widened. "So...the evil rabbit lady...is the security guard?! HA! I knew I shouldn't have trusted her! And that explains why Moon brought you to Parts and Service!"
"I suppose it does, Gregory. But while we know who Vanny is now...there's two more questions. Why? And how did she do all of this?"
Gregory looked in closer. "There's a computer in her room, but I can't get through the door. And none of my badges will help me."
"Then, I suppose this will be for later. Come back down. And maybe check the Security Office? There cold be something that could help you with...Chica...I apologize, Gregory. I...I am still not comfortable with the thought of hurting my friends."
Gregory sighed. "I...I'm sorry, Freddy."
"It's alright, Gregory. It's alright. I just wish there was another way, but that doesn't seem to be an option...don't expect them to be too happy about being broken. And p-please try not to hurt them too much..."
"I won't." Gregory said before he headed back to the main room of Fazer Blast, heading to the security office. And indeed, he did find something.
He found a pass. A pass for...Bonnie Bowl?
"What amazing luck! You got an annual Bonnie Bowl unlimited pass! Free bowling for a whole year! Mega Pizzaplex entry not included. Shoe and ball rental fees still apply." Freddy said, as if he was in commercial.
Gregory chuckled before he headed back to Freddy. "Off to Bonnie Bowl we go then!"
Freddy's face seemed to change as he heard that, but Gregory didn't notice as he went inside Freddy. Freddy took a deep breath before walking towards the atrium, and to Bonnie Bowl.
Little did Gregory know,Freddy had a much closer connection to Bonnie Bowl than the child was aware of.
After handing the pass to the STAFF Bot, Gregory hopped back in Freddy and they slowly stepped inside. It was probably the most cool looking bowling alley Gregory had ever seen, but Freddy was completely silent as he walked through.
"Hmmm...so, any tips on how to get Chica? Maybe...maybe we can use pizza to lure her into a trap!" Gregory offered.
Freddy didn't speak. He was in the ice cream shop, staring at a closed stage with a red curtain.
"Freddy?"
"I...do not come up here anymore...I miss him."
Gregory's eyes widened for a moment. "Wait...miss who? Do...you mean Bonnie?"
Freddy looked down and nodded. "Yes. I mean him."
"Is that what you meant when you said 'not anymore' at The Daycare?"
Freddy nodded again, clenching his fist to stop himself from crying. He took a deep breath. "Yes. That's what I meant...b-but anyways. I think we could use Monty Mystery Mix to lure Chica into this supposed trap! Chica goes cuckoo for Monty Mystery Mix!"
Gregory laughed. "Maybe it's just because Monty's name is on the box."
Freddy chuckled. "That, and she loves pizza." He then had Gregory exit his chest cavity. Gregory then headed behind the bowling alley to find the supposed Monty Mystery Mix, according to Freddy's instructions.
Gregory then came back with the box, humming before he heard Chica's voice.
"PIZZA!" Chica cried, most definitely smelling the mix.
"RUN." Freddy whispered, watching Gregory run off and then throwing over some tables.
Chica ran in, her mouth almost watering if she wasn't a robot. But she tripped over the tables. She growled, standing up and throwing them aside, but it would take time.
Gregory ran into the kitchen, looking from side to side before he saw a trash compactor. He was about to think of something else before he heard Chica's voice getting louder. There was no time.
He placed the Monty Mystery Mix right above the trash compactor and then hid behind the activation button.
Chica came in, looking incredibly dirty and cracked. She hummed before smelling the pizza. Her eyes almost went starry before he walked over to the compactor. "I smell pizza!~"
She then knelt down, digging into the moldy pizza and using the Monty Mystery Mix to add to the flavoring. She seemed to be in Heaven at the taste of the mix...which was incredibly gross.
Gregory took a deep breath before he pressed the button, and the compactor slowly came down...but it was stopped by a metal beam.
Chica looked up, and then looked behind her. She didn't see anyone, so she shrugged it off and kept eating.
Gregory thought of a plan and thought it up quick before running over quietly...and shoving Chica into the metal beam.
Chica cried out, falling on her back. She growled, her red eyes glowing bright. She lunged at Gregory, but the compactor came down and Gregory fell back.
The compactor slowly came up, leaving Chica's body completely covered in cracks. Gregory felt terrible, but figured that was enough to take out her voice box.
He reached, but Chica suddenly ROARED, grabbing Gregory's leg. Gregory gritted his teeth, kicking at Chica and eventually smashing her beak off and causing her to fall back, still holding onto his leg. The compactor came down a second time, CRUSHING Chica so much that her eyes slightly popped forward.
The compactor came up again, and Chica began sliding into the trash...with Gregory still with her. Gregory tried to grab onto something, crying out, but it was too late.
He was dragged into the sewers.
He woke up, holding his head before he stood up. His eyes then widened when he saw that Chica's body wasn't anywhere to be seen. He panicked, but then saw her voice box leaning against a stone. He sighed, and then grabbed it, slowly sliding it into his pocket.
"...I'm sorry, Chica." Gregory sighed. "I...I'll help repair you, I promise." He said into the cold darkness before he ran off, looking for an exit.
The sewers themselves were cold and dark, with a bunch of trash and decommissioned STAFF Bots surrounding the place. Gregory thought this was probably one of the creepiest spots in the entire Pizzaplex. He then saw a pair of glowing eyes and quickly shined his flashlight, and only saw it was STAFF Bot head...but it looked weird.
It was just a head...but he had a SMILE drawn across his face, with gray tear tracks going down his face. Like a person was crying, and laughing at the same time.
Gregory shivered before he saw a purple machine. A generator. He smiled, quickly activating it before continuing his journey.
But as he came into a bigger pile of scrap...he heard mechanical whirs and hisses. He turned around and saw...CHICA.
Chica's beak was gone, and the bottom half of her face was completely shattered, and there were multiple cracks across her body. Even her entire arm's metal was completely exposed.
Gregory felt terrible, but quickly activated another generator...but that was loud enough for Chica to hear him. Chica whipped around, hissing silently since she no longer had her voice.
Chica LUNGED at Gregory, her red eyes glowing brighter. Gregory's eyes widened and he quickly took this as his chance to run. He ran and ran until he came across the third and final generator. He turned it on, and ran through a doorway.
Gregory looked back, with Chica still running at him until the door shut behind him. He sighed in relief before seeing...he was in a room covered to the brim with sticky notes. They were sloppily written, with nearly all of them being binary code.
But others said 'Grown ups only. Get out.'
Gregory became VERY confused before he saw a whole PILE of STAFF Bot heads, with the same crying laughter style as the one earlier. He gulped before he began walking up the staircase...only to see something even stranger.
As he nearly made it to the top, he saw more STAFF Bots...but sitting at a table like...a family? There was a husband, a wife, a teenage son, a daughter, and...a headless bot. But the creepy thing was that the bot representing the husband had a PURPLE smile painted across his face.
Gregory stepped closer, before seeing all of the other bots had black eyes with no pupils...as if to show they were dead. And only the husband remained...and he was smiling at the thought of his family being dead.
Needless to say, that scared Gregory more than anything he had seen so far in the sewers and ran up the stairs. What gave him motivation to run faster was when he saw Chica running up the stairs behind him. His eyes widened before he grabbed his Fazerblaster, whipping around.
Chica let out a silent roar, lunging at Gregory.
Gregory fired his blaster, hitting Chica in the eyes and causing her to freeze and glitch. Gregory laughed with glee before running off, shooting Chica again before he escaped.
He came back to the kitchen and ran out of it, where Freddy was waiting. Freddy gasped when he saw him. "Gregory!"
"F-Freddy!" Gregory cried, running over and suddenly hugging Freddy tight, feeling a giant amount of relief. He was safe in his arms.
Freddy held the child close before he saw Chica's voice box. His eyes softened and he sighed. "I...suppose we should-"
Then? Helpy's voice spoke from Gregory's Fazwatch.
"G-Guys...? C-Can you..." He sniffled. "...c-come to Monty Golf...?"
