21: Parts and Service

The two ran through Parts and Service, with Helpy leading the way. But they stopped in their tracks, with Gregory bumping into Helpy. "Huh?"

Helpy seemed a little spooked before turning to Gregory. "Uhhh, can y-you use your flashlight?"

Gregory tilted his head before looking in front of Helpy and his eyes widened when he saw red eyes in the darkness, staring at them. He shined his flashlight, seeing...an endoskeleton.

It was gray, metal, with wiring and and technology exposed. It had a weird face to it, and it was the source of the glowing red eyes.

Gregory instantly didn't trust it, because anything that had red eyes in this place was bad news. He then looked at Helpy. "It...looks frozen?"

"Y-Yeah!" Helpy said with a sigh of relief. "It's just an Endo! We can keep moving!" He said, with the two not bothering to look at the Endo as they walked.

But as they kept walking, they heard shuffling. They turned around, with Gregory shining his light...to see the Endo now looking at them. His eyes widened, and he gulped. "...RUN."

The kids quickly ran away, with the Endo's eyes glowing a brighter red as the kids ran deeper into Parts and Service.

Helpy and Gregory kept running and running, also wanting to be fast enough so they could get to Freddy quicker. Eventually, after coming across yet another locked door, they came to a vent shaft.

"I hope that creepy Music Man isn't in here." Helpy shivered. "I hate spiders. Chica told me it's called...arachnophobia?"

"Oh, yeah. Fear of spiders-" Gregory said before he heard the familar wind up music. "Not again!"

Helpy shrieked, quickly climbing faster since he was first and arriving out the other side. Gregory followed soon after, landing right next to him.

They were now in a dirty and old room filled with all kinds of spare supplies that Fazbear Entertainment could use. Gregory brushed himself off, looking around. "You still know where you're going, Helpy?"

"Yup!" Helpy smiled. "It's just been forever since I've been down here, heh."

They kept walking/running before coming across a hallway with all kinds of crates and supplies...and a poster or painted wall of some kind.

It showed a a child sitting down on a chair with a band aid on his knee. And an Endo kneeling down, holding a first-aid kit and giving a thumbs up.

"What the heck is this...?" Gregory asked.

Helpy hummed. "If I remember correctly, then this is what helped train the others and future animatronics! Telling them what's good and what's bad!"

Gregory looked up and saw the green check mark...had been painted over with a purple 'X'. "What the?"

"Huh? That's not supposed to be there." Helpy said.

Gregory eyed the purple X for a moment before they kept moving. Something was up with the Endo's too...was the rabbit lady training them to be evil? It would certainly explain why the one they saw had red eyes.

"So...are all these Endo's the same?" Gregory asked.

Helpy blinked for a moment before chuckling nervously. "I, uhh, don't really...like to think about it...makes my brain hurt..."

Gregory's eyes were quickly filled with guilt. "Sorry, sorry! Touchy subject."

Helpy smiled. "It's fine, Gregory! Let's keep moving! So we can-"

But Gregory stopped them right there when they saw another Endo down the hallway, its eyes also glowing red.

"Did it...follow us?" Helpy whispered.

Gregory hummed. "It only moved when we weren't looking. You guide the way, and I'll keep my eye on it."

Helpy nodded with a small gulp before they slowly, but surely, walked past the Endo, with Gregory making sure it didn't move before they were out of the way...only to come across a room with one shut down STAFF Bot and two deactivated Endo's.

"There's two more?" Gregory whispered, shining his light at the two Endo's. He then noticed a poster similar to the one before it, but unlike the last one which was telling them what to do, this one seemed to be saying what not to do.

It showed a man being chased by an Endo.

Helpy slowly snuck by the deactivated Endo's, scared they would just turn on before he pressed a button nearby, causing the 'poster' to slide up, revealing it to be a hidden door. They kept moving.

But as they did? They heard mechanical whirs. Helpy and Gregory whipped around, seeing the two Endo's had activated and were staring at them. The two quickly ran off, with Gregory constantly looking back at them.

They came across a hallway with two more, both of them activated the moment they were past them. That made 5 in total...but that's when they saw it.

A STAFF Bot next to a pair of letter balloons that spelled out 'party'...but the STAFF Bot's head was smashed inside of the cake, with the body serving its head to someone that wasn't there.

Helpy whimpered, hugging Gregory's arm. "I-I remember w-why I never came down here now..."

Gregory nodded, pressing the button to the next door and going through. They kept moving throughout this maze of a room, encountering two more Endo's...and some ACTIVE Endo's were locked in cages, motionless, but standing tall like the other active ones.

Helpy continued to lead the way, while Gregory stared down all of the Endo's, so they wouldn't move. Eventually? They made it to the security office...which wasn't much of an office. The door closed behind them and Gregory sighed in relief before his eyes widened at what the 'poster' was inside.

It was a small family with an Endo, who was holding a balloon...but someone painted purple rabbit ears on top of it. And there was also a painting of a purple rabbit...waving?

Gregory shivered before turning around and seeing that the entire room was FILLED with Endo's hanging down from the ceiling. He gulped, but then looked at Helpy as he slowly took the security badge.

Helpy shut his eyes to wait for the alarm...but nothing happened. "Huh! I guess we're in the-"

Then? All the Endo's hopped down from the ceiling, ALL of their eyes glowing red. The ones inside the office and the ones outside were enough to make an army.

Gregory realized something almost immediately. The rabbit lady was training an ARMY.

The Endo's were all staring at the kids as the door opened back up, to reveal the Endo's outside slowly moving towards their prey.

"...RUN!" Gregory screamed again, grabbing Helpy's arm and dragging him out of the room, managing to make the Endo's freeze by looking at them.

The Endo's let out mechanical hisses and screeches before chasing after the kids. Some of them ran on foot, roaring. Others crawled on the walls. And even MORE crawled on the ceiling.

Gregory and Helpy ran as fast as they could, to the point where Gregory could swore his legs were slowly beginning to fall off.

"HERE!" Helpy cried, jumping inside the vent. Gregory followed, just as the Endo's caught up to them.

They tried crawling through the vents, but they were too tall and too big to fit. Gregory and Helpy were safe...for now.

After even more running, they made it back to Parts and Service. Gregory huffed and puffed as they made it back to the red door. Helpy chuckled a little before he used their security badge to open the door...but that's where they heard a conversation.

"I found him earlier and locked him up in lost and found. Helpy was with him, so I shut him off. He'll turn back on in a few minutes though." A woman's voice said. It was Vanessa.

Helpy's eyes widened, and he gestured to the window. Both he and Gregory looked inside to see Vanessa staring at Freddy...who was in some kind of repair chamber, with all kinds of machines inside. He was strapped down...with his HEAD off his body.

Gregory and Helpy were horrified by that, but Freddy was still alive thankfully.

"That is great news!" Freddy replied. "He can be returned to his parents!"

Vanessa seemed to be amused/annoyed at the same time. "He CAN'T. Turns out, there's no record of him."

Helpy's eyes went wide and he slowly looked at Gregory, who had a...pained look in his eyes. No record? No...parents? Then, how did he get here? Was he...homeless? Did he sneak in?

Freddy's face seemed to soften. "How unfortunate...if you re-attach my head, I will go look for him now!"

"His name is Gregory." Vanessa replied. "You know how I know that? His Fazwatch kept repeating it...in YOUR voice. 'Gregory? Are you there? Gregory?'"

Freddy seemed a little more nervous now, but continued. "V-Vanessa. All the Fazwatches sound like me. It is the default voice option."

Vanessa was silent for a minute, seemingly getting angrier. "If you're part of this, you're SCRAP. Monty will run the shows until Parts and Service can slap your casing on a new Endo." She threatened.

Gregory clenched his fist, while Helpy's heart sank and he trembled.

"Hang out here for a while...I gotta find that kid. And if Helpy's helping him? He's not being let off...far from it..." Vanessa muttered before she began walking away.

Freddy's eyes widened and he screamed. "VANESSA! DO NOT LEAVE ME LIKE THIS!!!"

Gregory was silent before turning to Helpy. "...I hate that lady."

"S-She...threatened to...we gotta go in there!" Helpy whispered before they used the badge to open the doors and enter Parts and Service.

Freddy's eyes widened and he smiled. "Gregory! Helpy! I am so glad you two are here and alive!"

Gregory and Helpy quickly rushed over. "Freddy!"

"Use the console to let me out." Freddy instructed.

Helpy cracked his robotic fingers. This part he knew how to do. He got onto the console, selecting an upgrade. 'Power Upgrade'.

Then, the intercom spoke again. "Please enter the protective cylinder to continue."

Helpy smiled, looking at Gregory. "Shall we? This part's easy!"

Gregory took a deep breath. "Alright. If you say so." He then looked at Freddy. "What did she do to you...?"

"Routine maintenance. I am functioning much more better...now." He hummed. "Grammar function error. Perhaps I am still not at peak performance."

"Why did Moon drag you here?" Helpy asked. "Did...Vanessa tell him too? Or did the 'rabbit lady'?"

Freddy sighed. "I wish I knew...I don't remember much except waking up and then talking to Vanessa...she does not seem to be in a good mood."

"No. No, she doesn't." Gregory said before seeing a chair, in which Helpy got onto.

"Let's get your head back on." Helpy said.

Freddy smiled. "Thank you, Helpy. Gregory. But be careful...I am...not quite myself at the moment."

Helpy hummed with a nod before looking at Gregory. "Okay! Watch me!"

Gregory nodded, having a feeling he would need to know this in the future if Freddy ever broke down again...but speaking of breaking down. He noticed Freddy's shell seemed much more...decayed than last time.

"For the head, you gotta reattach the colored wires in the correct order! Like this!" Helpy said as began the process. He attached the yellow wire, then the green, then the red, and finally the blue. "See? That easy!"

"How do ya remember the order?" Gregory asked, scratching his head.

Helpy giggled. "Well, the systems quickly showed me which order I was supposed too! By flashing the color it wanted! Like, if it wanted yellow to go first, something would flash yellow!"

Then? Gregory saw some kind of device, a testing console come over. "Hey, what's that?"

Helpy scooted the chair over to the console. "It's to run diagnostics! Make sure everything's working!"

The colorful buttons on the console started to flash in a pattern, with Helpy copying the pattern precisely until the procedure was finished and Freddy was repaired.

They all stepped out of the cylinder, with Gregory looking around the actual Parts and Service. There was so much tech...maybe it could help?

"Is there anything we can use here to stop the other bots?" Gregory asked, turning to Freddy. "I mean, I know we only have a few hours left, but it could help us get around easier!"

Freddy hummed. "Bright lights in the eyes cause us to briefly malfunction. I suppose a Fazerblaster or Faz Cam could work."

Gregory's eyes lit up. "Where do we get one?"

"You can win a Fazerblaster in Fazer Blast! Faz Cams are often confiscated in Monty Golf, but you will need a Party Pass to open one of these attractions. Chica normally gives them out for birthdays, so I bet you could find one there." Freddy then hummed. "Or perhaps, one of you can get the Fazerblaster while the other gets the Faz Cam. With Helpy's access to all of the attractions and the party pass, it will make everything much more quicker!"

Gregory smiled. "That's actually a good idea!"

Helpy nodded. "Yeah! I'll get the Faz Cam in Monty Golf! I go there a lot, so I know the way around like the back of my hand! I can go in and out!"

"I'll get the Fazerblaster." Gregory said. "So, how do we get outta here?"

Freddy hummed. "We can take the elevators up to Rockstar Row. The only one that works right now though is Roxanne's. Let's hope she is not in her room."

Helpy smiled. "Then let's go!"

They quickly headed up the stairs to the service elevators...until Gregory noticed some strange looking blueprints. They were for Monty, Chica, and Roxy.

"Freddy! Helpy!" Gregory called. "Check out these pictures! Chica has some sort of special voice box. Roxy has new eyes, and Monty was given better claws! We have to get these! We could upgrade Freddy!"

Helpy's eyes widened a bit, and Freddy stepped closer to Gregory. "Gregory, those parts belong to our friends, I...I would never do anything to hurt them."

"Y-Yeah, and we have gone over that the rabbit lady did something to them!" Helpy said.

Gregory sighed. "Yeah, I guess so...but even then? Can't we always repair them? And maybe it could stop them from hunting us!"

Helpy looked at Freddy, and Freddy sighed. "I...I don't exactly...approve. But he does make a point. And perhaps during the repairs, we can figure out what is going on with them." He took a deep breath. "Just be careful. They want to hurt you, but it isn't right to hurt them when they aren't in their own mind."

Gregory nodded. "Yeah. And heck, I can even stay behind to repair them!"

Helpy looked at Gregory. "You...would do that?"

"That is very sweet of you, Gregory. And highly appreciated, superstar." Freddy said with a small smile.
