20: The Glamrocks
As soon as the elevator closed? Freddy spoke over The Fazwatch, but his voice was glitching. "Gregory...Helpy..."
Gregory gasped. "Freddy?! Help! The rabbit lady! She's-"
"If you get this message, come to the Roxy Raceway entrance on the second floor. I piled up some boxes so you can hop over the construction fence and find me. Something is jamming my communications signal. Come to the Roxy Raceway."
Helpy whimpered. "I-Is he gonna be ok?"
Gregory seemed a little worried himself, but nodded as they took the elevator to the main atrium. "Yeah...yeah, he'll be ok. He's gotta be."
Eventually, with Helpy's guidance, of course, they found the door to Roxy's Raceway and headed inside...unaware someone with glowing red eyes was watching them.
It was the rabbit once again. She grinned. "Run, run, run as fast as you can~ I'll catch you, it's all part of my plan~"
The two headed throughout Roxy's Raceway...which seemed to be under construction. Gregory found this a little odd. Why was one of the main attractions STILL under construction? The Pizzaplex had been open for long enough, right?
"Hey, Helpy? What's with all the construction?" Gregory whispered.
"Oh! Well, it's said there's some kinda unknown place that's making Roxy's Raceway unstable! Some workers went to check it out 2 weeks ago!" Helpy explained.
Gregory tilted his head. "And...?"
"And...well...they never came back...I hope they're okay. I never like getting into the adult stuff, heh." Helpy said before they found a pile of boxes and various other supplies leading over the fence. The two quickly climbed over it, making it over the fence.
But when they made it? They saw a horrible sight...Freddy was laying on the ground, holding his stomach as if he had been shot or stabbed. Or at least, something happened to him. His shiny orange metal was now in cracks and dusty.
"FREDDY!" Helpy and Gregory cried, rushing over to him and kneeling beside him. "A-Are you okay...?"
"T-There you are!" Freddy said with a glitching voice. "I-I was so worried...I waited and waited for you two. I missed the hourly recharge and have been trying to get down to Parts and Service...I think something is wrong..."
"Is there anything we can do?"
"Help me get to Parts and Service..." Freddy grunted, seeming somewhat...hurt.
Gregory nodded. "Of course! How do we get there?"
"It is down under the main stage...n-normally, the stage lift takes me down there after every concert. That is really the only way I know how..." Freddy replied before looking behind him. "U-Use that door behind me. U-Use Helpy's access to find a way t-to turn on the lift..."
He then smiled weakly. "G-Good luck, superstars...entering rest mode..."
Helpy's heart broke a little, but he took a deep breath and nodded. Gregory also took a deep breath before looking at Helpy. "Let's do this then."
The two then headed to the door behind Freddy and opened it, once again using Helpy to find their way around.
Like the rest of the Pizzaplex, it was huge and often took a while to find. Especially with Roxy once again on their trail. So far, the most they had encountered WAS Roxy...it startled Gregory.
He knew she was supposed to be competitive...but whatever that rabbit lady did to her, made her more competitive than ever before. Roxy WAS the fastest, but Monty was the strongest. Chica was probably the weakest out of the three...and then there was Moon, who was both Monty and Roxy combined.
And Gregory was CERTAIN the rabbit lady had something to do with what was going on. She just HAD to have SOMETHING. Glowing red eyes, knowing his name, and only appearing after this whole mess started. Gregory should know. This rabbit was never there before.
But...why and how was she just invisible to the robots? And what was that sound? How did she get so fast? And whose blood was on that machete?
"Gregory? Are you okay?" Helpy asked.
"Yeah! Yeah!" Gregory said. "Just thinking about that rabbit lady."
Helpy once again became confused. "Okay, please tell me...we're friends!" He then blushed. "R-Right?"
"If you wanna be." Gregory said with a nod.
Helpy had a gigantic cute smile before snapping out of it and facing Gregory. "Then, why do you keep saying you see a dancing rabbit lady? And back at Lost and Found, you said she was there too...and I got cut...are you seeing something that I'm not able to see?"
"I...I think?" Gregory asked. "She was somewhat invisible to me too...but she was like disappearing and reappearing with this really high pitched sound. And I think she's the reason why the others are after me...and well, now you too."
Helpy hummed. "Weird...why is she after you?"
"If I knew, I wouldn't be wondering." Gregory sighed. "Maybe what's going on with the others is some kind of...virus?"
Helpy hummed again. "There WAS mention of a virus a while ago...but Parts and Service said higher ups dealt with it! So, maybe it's another one?"
"Or maybe they lied-" Gregory was then interrupted when they found the lift controls. The room itself was gigantic, with all kinds of colorful buttons, switches, screens, and four doors. Four doors for each of the animatronics.
A microphone door for Freddy. A bass door for Monty. A guitar door for Chica. And a keytar door for Roxy.
The two started looking around, trying to find a way to activate the lift before Gregory found a Freddy head again, along with an old disc.
Gregory blew on the disc, and it read 'SHOWTIME'. He turned to Helpy as he slowly took the security badge inside the Freddy head. "Hey, Helpy! What's-"
Then, like all the other times they took a security badge, an alarm began to sound. But something else happened as well.
Freddy's face suddenly appeared on all of the monitors. He looked puzzled and surprised. "Gregory? What did you two do? Something happened...I can communicate again! I think you fixed my signal! Thank you."
"We can see you on the monitor!" Gregory smiled. "I didn't think you could stand up."
Freddy hummed. "Consider it a second wind."
"Freddy!" Helpy smiled before hearing Gregory gulp. He turned, seeing Gregory was looking at the cameras.
Gregory then rushed to one of the monitors Freddy was looking through. "Freddy, I see Roxy and Monty on the cameras! They're both coming to the office!"
"Do not let them in. The security doors are equipped with electrical deterrents. If you see them or hear them banging on the doors, hit the appropriate button. The shock should stun them." Freddy explained, although he wasn't TOO keen on the idea of shocking his friends. But he knew they weren't themselves right now.
"How do we get out of here?" Helpy asked.
Freddy hummed. "Do you see the large vent in the floor? You are probably standing right on top of it. If I can reach the room under you, I should be able to force it open and let you two out." He then hummed again. "All the doors appear be on lockdown, hmmm...look for me on the monitors. If you see me waving, push the button in front of the corresponding monitor to open the door."
But then? The monitor started to glitch out a bit. Helpy and Gregory stepped back...to see the rabbit's face on the monitors instead of Freddy. She was grinning wide, like the last time Gregory had seen her.
"W-Who is that?!" Helpy cried, now actually able to see her thanks to her appearing on a monitor.
The rabbit giggled. "There you are. See you soon~"
Freddy suddenly spoke up. "HURRY, GREGORY! I CANNOT STOP HER!!!"
The monitors then switched to cameras, with Gregory properly being terrified. Now BOTH Helpy and Freddy knew of the rabbit's existence, and they were cornered until Freddy came down to save them.
Gregory turned to Helpy. "I'll shock em! You open the doors for Freddy!"
Helpy nodded, running through the different monitors and pressing the buttons for Freddy, who would wave or try to make himself noticeable through the cameras.
Gregory used his Fazwatch's cameras to see Monty pounding on Chica's door, roaring and roaring like he had in his room earlier. Gregory slammed his hand against the button, shocking Monty and causing him to roar in pain.
"YOU LITTLE BRAT!!!!" Monty boomed, but he was stunned. But that wouldn't last for long.
Gregory checked the cameras again, seeing Roxy at Freddy's door. He dashed over to it, jumping high in the air and slamming his palm against the button, shocking Roxy.
Roxy howled in pain, stepping away from the door.
Gregory then checked, and his eyes widened when he saw Chica suddenly at Monty's door. He took a deep breath before dashing to Monty's door, slamming his hand against the button and shocking Chica.
This process continued for a while, with both kids running around and pressing buttons. Gregory was getting exhausted, while Helpy was just panicking. Gregory then turned to Helpy. "How much more?!"
"He's almost here!" Helpy said.
Gregory nodded before suddenly? The lights began to flicker on and off inside the office. Gregory panicked quickly, and only panicked more when he heard Roxy's door open...but there was no metallic footsteps. He checked the cameras to see who was there, but he saw no one.
"I see you~"
Gregory's eyes widened before he saw the rabbit lady in the doorway, his eyes wide with horror as he stared into her horrifying red eyes. She was invisible to the cameras too.
The rabbit was now holding a giant kitchen knife, one as big as her wrist and hand. She twirled the knife in her hands, beginning to skip gleefully towards the kids. "~Oh, Gregory's been caught! Oh, Gregory he fought! But now he's going to die! Oh my!~"
Then, the vent gate on the floor was suddenly TORN off. Freddy's voice sounded. "JUMP DOWN!"
Gregory and Helpy didn't hesitate, hopping down into the vent and being caught by Freddy, landing into his arms like a father would catch his children.
Helpy smiled wide at the sight of Freddy, while Gregory shockingly hugged Freddy. "You saved us!" He cried, seeming relieved and smiling.
Freddy held them both, still seeming a little weak. He smiled. "I said I'd protect you...come along. It's not safe to talk here."
Freddy quickly sped walked with Helpy and Gregory in his arms, before they made it to a safe spot. Freddy set both of them down, setting a hand on his chest as if he was injured or sick.
Gregory's eyes softened. "I'm sorry. We couldn't find any lift controls. But I did find this...disc...thing?"
Helpy gasped. "Oh, I know what that is! Go to the main atrium! That's a program disc for the stage show! If we use it in the sound booth, we should be able to run 'Showtime' which automatically activates the lift!"
Freddy smiled. "Way to go, superstar." He then grunted. "I apologize. My second wind didn't last for very long. I don't think I will be able to carry you...follow me to the atrium."
Gregory nodded, suddenly and instinctively reaching for Freddy's hand for a moment before pulling it away. "S-Sorry."
"Hmm? For what?"
"Nothing. Nevermind."
They started walking before they made it out and inside the main atrium, where Freddy, Helpy, and Gregory slowly walked out onto the main stage. Freddy spoke. "G-Gregory, Helpy. My systems are...failing. Go to the sound booth on the third floor balcony. Run the performance program on that disc, then meet me back on the stage...please hurry. You do not have much time. It is almost the end of the hour, and I have a feeling the others will come back here very soon."
Helpy nodded. "He's right! They'll be back any moment!"
The two then quickly started running off the stage and towards the third floor balcony...until Gregory was caught by a metallic hand. He screamed, and something got in his face.
A Security Bot, which didn't make a noise. It flashed Gregory in the eyes with its flashlight before setting him down. It then made an alarm.
"Crud." Gregory gulped, running even faster along with Helpy. He knew he was going to hate those things.
After a lot MORE running, they made it to the sound booth just as Monty, Roxy, and Chica came into the atrium, looking for them.
Helpy gulped before Gregory slowly inserted the disc into the sound booth player. And then? Music began playing throughout the atrium. The same music played from the day's concert, and the same tune that the creepy Music Man toy played in the vents...although, it was no longer creepy, and instead the original tune.
Gregory took a deep breath of relief. "Now we just...gotta get back through those robots."
Helpy was more focused on the giant hologram on stage, his eyes sparkly. "Hehehe!"
"Helpy!"
"Sorry!" Helpy said, before the two slowly began to sneak down. Chica was searching the balcony, Roxy was pacing around the stage, and Monty was on top of a prize booth, searching for them with a spotlight.
As the two made it to the floor, they took a deep breath. "We...may have to make a run for it. Sneaking over will be too slow, and Roxy or Monty will see us."
Helpy was clearly nervous, but nodded. "Alright. Let's do...12?"
"No, no. That just makes it too anxious than it already is. Let's try 3."
Helpy nodded. "O-Okay...1."
"2."
"3!" Helpy cried before the two quickly ran for it.
Monty noticed them right off the bat and roared, hopping down and chasing them. But sadly, he was the slowest. He roared even louder, almost like a mindless animal. Helpy screamed, running even faster with Gregory.
Roxy growled and tried to pounce on them, but the two just BARELY dodged her attack and ran onto the main stage. Roxy cackled as Gregory pushed the button on stage, activating the lift. She ran after them, hopping high into the air and raising her claws...until suddenly? Freddy came crashing in and PUNCHED her onto Monty.
The wolf screamed out, landing onto Monty as the lift went down.
Helpy's jaw dropped and so did Gregory's. He slowly turned over to Freddy. "Freddy...THAT WAS AWESOME!"
Freddy chuckled weakly, although what he had just done was tearing him apart inside. "Y-Yes...don't ever do that, please. Violence is a last resort, and even then? It's not for children."
The lift then slowly went down to the path to Parts and Service before they heard an all too familar cackle. Gregory turned and his eyes widened when he saw...Moon.
Moon giggled, hanging onto the lift as it went down and waving at the children specifically.
"Oh, no! What time is it?!" Gregory cried. "That moon thing's gonna get us!"
Moon laughed before he let go of the lift, disappearing far into the darkness.
Freddy thought of a plan, and thought it up quick. "Q-Quickly! Get to the Recharge Station!"
Once the lift ride ended, all three of them started running towards the Recharge Station. Freddy was ignoring his injuries to catch up with them. To keep them safe.
Once they made it, Helpy opened the Recharge Station door and hid inside with Gregory. But as Freddy was about to go in? He was suddenly SHOVED against the door, closing it with the kids inside.
Gregory gasped, looking through the window of the station to see Freddy on the floor. Moon was the culprit, cackling as he grabbed Freddy's legs. He then saw Gregory and tilted his head, giving a sadistic wave before dragging Freddy off.
"NO!" Gregory cried, struggling to push the door open. Helpy quickly joined in, and eventually, they got it open, landing on the floor.
They saw Moon open the door to Parts and Service, grinning as he dragged Freddy inside and slammed the door behind him.
The kids ran after Moon, but no matter how much they pushed, the door wouldn't open. Helpy grunted, trying to use his access, but he needed SECURITY access.
"Freddy...!" Gregory whispered. "We have to get him out! What's gonna let us in?"
Helpy hummed. "There should be a security badge in Endoskeleton Training! C'mon!"
The two quickly started running, eager to save Freddy before anything was done to him...but they were grabbed. The two screamed to see...The Map Bot.
"Hi! Please take this map." The Map Bot said, holding out a map...again. "Take a map."
Helpy was pouting and Gregory growled, yanking the map out of the bot's hands...and then aggressively kicking the bot before continuing to run. "UGH! I HATE THAT THING!"
