19: Vanny

"Hmmm, it appears you have no Faz Map." Freddy said. "You should be able to obtain one from the greeter on the center balcony."

Helpy chuckled. "Be warned though! They appear out of nowhere!"

Gregory didn't seem to think much of that as the elevator stopped and Freddy walked out...only for a STAFF Bot wearing glasses, a yellow shirt, and hat to appear, forcefully opening Freddy's chest and YANKING Gregory out.

The child cried out, kicking at the STAFF Bot, before it said: "Hi. Please take this map. Take a map."

Gregory blinked before seeing the 'Map Bot' was indeed holding out a map of at least THIS area of The Pizzaplex. He narrowed his eyes, aggressively yanking away the map.

"Thank you. Please enjoy." The Map Bot said before rolling away and crashing into a wall...in which it tried to offer a map to said wall. "Free map. Free map. Free map. Free map. Free map. Free map."

"I hate that thing with all my heart and soul." Gregory mumbled.

Freddy sighed as he helped Gregory back into his chest cavity. "Even I will admit, I am not very fond of the 'Map Bot'."

"I don't think anyone is." Helpy said before they continued on their way.

They roamed around the atrium, with Gregory thinking it would be easier to reach the fire escape in The Prize Counter as his way of escaping. Even with Freddy and Helpy, he did not want to be in this place any longer than he needed to be.

"Good news! It looks like the door to El Chip's is open." Freddy said as they started walking towards just that attraction, with Gregory admiring how gigantic The Pizzaplex actually was. If he was friends with these two before and not trying to escape? He'd have one heck of a time.

Soon enough, they made it to El Chip's, but the door only opened halfway. Gregory climbed out, with Helpy following him underneath. Freddy stayed behind. "I must warn you two, when you enter an area where you do not have a locator map signal, I will be unable to reach your location. You can update your mini-map at the security office...be safe."

The two nodded before entering El Chip's. It was like every stereotypical Mexican restaurant, with music playing in the background and the Spanish beaver's face on everything inside. Gregory seemed a little more focused on finding the office, while Helpy was more famished than anything else.

But then? Roxy was heard. "I bet you don't even have any friends..."

Gregory and Helpy froze up, quickly hiding inside of a stroller or Parts and Service basket as Roxanne Wolf passed by, growling like an actual wolf before walking away.

"Was Roxy always that mean?" Gregory whispered.

Helpy was silent, actually considering what was different NOW and what was normal. "She, uhh, wasn't always SUPER nice...in public anyway. Whenever she was around people she trusted, she's actually really nice!" His eyes then softened. "I...I heard her crying once. In her room. She looked so sad about something...but her door was locked, and I figured she just wanted to be left alone."

Gregory's heart clenched a bit before they continued their journey.

However, instead of finding the office first? They did find something. The East Arcade, which was filled with pathways of arcade games. Gregory grinned a little, wishing he could play them.

"Well done, superstars! You are in the East Arcade." Freddy said. "You should be able to get to the Prize Counter through the security office, like I said before. Look for the door with a security badge symbol on it!"

Gregory turned to Helpy. "You're more familar with this place, so lead the way."

Helpy smiled, nodding before the two quietly ran through the arcade, just in case Roxanne hadn't given up her hunt in El Chip's just yet. But when they made it, not even Helpy's access allowed them to enter. After all, Helpy only had complete access to the attractions. Not security.

"Freddy, it's not opening." Gregory said.

"How unfortunate." Freddy said. "Head past the Superstar-cade wall, to the back of the arcade. There is a roll up door at the very back which leads to the Prize Counter."

The two nodded, but when they did find it? It was ALSO locked. Even Helpy was a little confused, not recalling The Pizzaplex having so much security.

Gregory brought this very point up. "Locked again?! Why does a pizza place even need so much security?!"

Freddy was silent for a moment before speaking. "They are required safety measures due to...past issues. Look for another way in."

Gregory sighed before Helpy tapped his shoulder. "Huh?"

"One of the perks of being short is that you can fit in small places!" Helpy said suddenly.

Gregory tilted his head before seeing Helpy had his attention towards an open vent shaft. He smiled before crawling inside, with Helpy behind him. But suddenly...they began to hear music? Soft and tiny music that had the same tune as The Glamrock's concert from earlier.

Helpy turned around and his eyes widened. "...RUN!"

"Huh?! Why?!" Gregory cried, trying to look back, but Helpy ran into him. So, the two kept crawling and crawling, trying to avoid being chased.

After they made it to the exit and fell into the security office, Gregory got a proper look at what was chasing them. Some kind of mechanical wind up...spider robot? With cymbals?

The tiny spider like Music Man hissed before crawling away, the creepy music still playing as it crawled away into the darkness of the vents.

"You were afraid of that?" Gregory asked. "I mean, yeah, it's a little creepy, but-"

"I-I hate spiders." Helpy whimpered, hugging Gregory.

Gregory looked from side to side before patting his back. After that, they went into the office and took the security badge from inside, which came from the same Freddy head they saw in the Daycare.

But like in The Daycare, something went wrong. The intercom began sounding. "Emergency lockdown activated. This area is off limits to guests."

Gregory's eyes widened as an alarm began sounding. "No, no, no! Freddy! I don't know what happened! All we did was take the badge!"

Freddy spoke. "Do not panic. That office is now on lockdown. I can deactivate the alarm, but it will take some time."

Helpy nodded before hearing mechanical footsteps outside. He gasped, quickly shutting both of the doors and standing close to Gregory.

Gregory clutched his flashlight, a little nervous himself. He then jumped when someone began pounding and scratching at the door. He checked the cameras, seeing Roxy outside the door.

Then? Monty's evil laughter was heard and the window was suddenly SMASHED into pieces by Monty's hand, who desperately tried to reach for them.

Helpy screamed, backing up. Gregory growled and trembled, but kept the doors shut. Monty and Roxy weren't getting it.

He then looked at his watch. "C'mon, Freddy! Hurry!"

Eventually, Monty left that door and was now at the same one Roxy was at, both of them pounding and scratching at the door. The two most definitely thought that they could break down the door with their combined strength.

Helpy held onto Gregory tightly, while Gregory just clenched his flashlight tightly. He looked at the power of the doors. It seemed like it wouldn't last very long, especially with how strong Monty and Roxy were combined.

Then, saving the two, Freddy spoke up over Gregory's Fazwatch. "All done! See? That was not so bad."

Gregory narrowed his eyes.

"If the path looks clear, head to the Prize Counter." Freddy said.

Gregory quickly looked through his cameras, and then Helpy opened the door Monty and Roxy weren't at. And the two quickly headed off.

At the Prize Counter, it was essentially a much larger gift shop. Which made sense, it was in the name. Very shiny and lit up, like the rest of The Pizzaplex. Both Gregory and Helpy preferred that over the dark and scary places such as the vents, The Daycare, and the security offices.

"Go to the back of The Prize Counter." Freddy told them. "The fire escape is in The VIP Room."

The kids nodded, but then? Just to add to their bad luck, they heard Roxy coming in. So, with Helpy's guidance, they quickly began to run and hide.

"How does she keep getting from place to place so fast?!" Gregory whispered.

"I HEARD THAT!" Roxy growled, now more on edge as she searched, scratching a nearby wall with her razor sharp claws.

Gregory and Helpy gulped, quickly hiding and running away from Roxy. All the while trying to be as quiet as possible.

What made Helpy terrified is that despite them being his friends? They were hunting HIM down too...but why? And who was doing this? Why couldn't Sun remember him? And who caused Moon to be such a sadistic hunter in the first place? He wasn't always like that!

Eventually, they made it to the VIP Room, where the fire escape laid before them. Gregory smiled, grabbing the door and trying to push it open...but it wouldn't budge. "Huh?!"

"You found the Fire Escape, superstar!" Freddy smiled.

"It's not opening!" Gregory exclaimed, still trying to push it.

Helpy giggled nervously. "I, uhh, think that's because it's only gonna open for someone who's a VIP."

"WHAT?!" Gregory exclaimed. "The whole point of a fire escape is so everyone can get out!"

"It is not a very good emergency system. You are lucky there is not a fire. I have lodged a formal complaint." Freddy said.

Gregory sighed. "Now I'm stuck again! There goes my hopes of getting out..."

"H-Hey, it's not all bad! Let's just get to the elevator-" Helpy said before his eyes widened and he saw a familar face walking inside. He grabbed Gregory, hiding inside a Parts and Service basket with him.

Roxy snarled as she slowly entered the room, her former yellow eyes still glowing their new red color. "Sneak away, little coward...I'll find you first!"

She looked in all kinds of places, like an actual wolf hunting down their prey in the forest. Slowly, but surely, she walked past the two kids. Helpy and Gregory snuck out, quietly running away from behind Roxy.

"Man, she's dumb!" Gregory laughed quietly.

Helpy didn't respond to that, since he didn't want to make fun of his friends. The two hopped into the elevator, but as it closed? Robotic hands stopped it from closing and forced it back open. Helpy shrieked, while Gregory cried out in surprise.

Then...the Map Bot came back, rolling over and getting in their faces. "Free map. Free map. Free map. Free map."

"MOVE!" A woman's voice suddenly said as The Map Bot was thrown out of the elevator...and Vanessa showed herself, shining her flashlight on the two. "Gotcha..."

Everything went black after that.

Gregory's eyes slowly opened and he sat up. "H...Huh? Where am I?" He looked down, seeing he was sitting down on a bunch of Fazbear Merchandise. "Look at all this...stuff."

His eyes then widened and he tapped his Fazwatch over and over again. "Freddy? Freddy, are you there?"

No response.

He turned around and gasped when he saw Helpy, but he was shut down and leaning against the floor. "H-Helpy!"

Gregory rushed over, lightly shaking the bear cub, but nothing happened. "Buddy? C'mon, wake up!"

That's when a voice spoke from the monitors. "I'll bet you think you're real clever, Gregory."

Gregory turned around, to see Vanessa's face on all four of the monitors. His eyes widened, but hopefully he'd get some answers as to how she knew his name.

"Yeah, I know your name! You're in big trouble! This is not the night to be wasting my time! So, you are going to wait right there in Lost and Found until your parents or the police arrive!" Vanessa said. It was likely a message.

Gregory's heart broke at the word 'parents', but he shook it off. "You...jerk! Helpy didn't do a thing wrong! And where's Freddy-"

Then? The monitors changed...to a rabbit's face. A rabbit with glowing red eyes and a GIANT smile.

Gregory recognized it immediately, stepping back. "It...it's you..."

The rabbit giggled before speaking. "Are you having fun yet?"

Gregory shivered as the monitor went off. The rabbit knew he was here. She was after him. And HIM alone. He quickly looked for something to escape with, but saw nothing. He then knelt down to Helpy, opening up a panel on the back of his head and rapidly pressing a blue button.

Helpy's eyes...woke up and he looked from side to side. "Huh? Gregory? What happened?"

"THE DANCING RABBIT LADY'S BACK! WE GOTTA-" Gregory's eyes then widened and his ears started to ring when he heard...some kind of high pitched noise.

Helpy heard it too, but he didn't see anything...but Gregory? He did.

Gregory looked out the window and his eyes widened in horror when he saw the rabbit gleefully skipping down the stairs towards them...with a MACHETE in her hand.

The rabbit had a giant grin across her face, and the ear bleeding sound that got louder and louder as she got closer seemed to almost...change her appearance. She would disappear, and then reappear.

Gregory was terrified, not sure how this rabbit was disappearing and reappearing again and again.

But Helpy, he was confused. "Gregory? W-What's wrong?"

"H-HER!" Gregory cried, pointing at the rabbit through the window.

The rabbit stopped and waved at them through the window, tilting her head.

Helpy was only more confused. "Where?! I don't see anyone!" He cried before he saw the door open.

The rabbit was staring right at them, invisible to Helpy's eyes. She giggled, polishing the blade of her machete with her finger...the machete itself was dripping in blood. "Hello, Gregory~"

"O-Open the vents!" Gregory cried, throwing a nearby box at the rabbit, who just dodged.

Helpy, instead of taking his time, just smashed them open with his robotic arms, crawling through. Gregory followed after, but screamed when the rabbit just barely missed him with a swing of her machete.

The rabbit had a GIANT evil grin before she ran out the door at SUPER speed, even faster than Roxy as she chased Helpy and Gregory.

Gregory grabbed Helpy's hand, practically dragging him up the stairs. They were in the lobby again.

The rabbit suddenly hopped high into the air, slamming her machete down, but missing the two.

"W-Why are we running?!" Helpy screamed before he suddenly screamed in pain, his arm being cut.

The rabbit giggled manically, and the high pitched sound from her grew louder and louder.

Gregory's ears rang, and he could no longer hear Helpy or the rabbit lady's laughter. He eventually dove forward into an open elevator, the door closing behind him and Helpy and going to a random level.

The rabbit was silent before giggling. "Outrun me and my puppets all you want, Gregory~ You have no home to run too~"
