~Eliza POV~

Eliza begged her sister.

"Please, Angie, just tell us already."

Angelica shook her head and smiled at the antics of her two younger sisters. They had come up to her room a few minutes ago and Eliza and Peggy were asking her what happened with Lafayette.

"No funny business, right?" Peggy asked.

Eliza rolled her eyes at Peggy.

"If Laff knows what is good for his health, he would have kept his promise," Eliza said.

"Oh he did." Angie said. "We just talked a little. It didn't take much time."

"Ok," Peggy said "we'll believe you for now."

Peggy left the room and Eliza followed her. Before Eliza left, Angie whispered to her.

"You'll be back, won't you?"

Eliza smiled and left without a word.

Eliza sat on the foot of Peggy's bed after the two had left Angie.

"Did you really mean that you would believe her; at least for now?" Eliza asked.

Peggy gave her a crazy grin. "Do you even know me, Eliza? Of course I don't believe that they just talked a little." She put air quotes up at the last part.

"Yeah, but I meant what I said, and I said what I meant, Laff had better have kept his promise of no funny business." Eliza said.

Peggy shrugged. "I know that you'll beat him up if he did, but still..." she trailed off.

"Yes, I would beat him up." Eliza said fiercely.

"How many times have you actually beat up someone?"

"Um..." Eliza didn't respond.

"That's what I thought," Peggy said. "You're just too much of a cinnamon roll, Liza."

Eliza shrugged. "Maybe I am, but I'm pretty sure that I'm very capable of casing some harm."

Peggy laughed "Maybe."

"So..." what's your situation with John Laurens?"

Peggy's face turned red. "Um... what?"

Eliza smirked. "You know what I'm talking about."

Peggy rolled her eyes. "And what are you talking about?"

"Um... I don't know, actually," Eliza said.

"Good" Peggy said. "Because you are still to innocent."

"I'm pretty sure I don't want to know, then," Eliza remarked, then left Peggy's room.

Well, she did want to know. But her sisters would never tell her. So, she will just have to find out on her own.
