Animus Objects


SandWing Objects

1. The Eye of Onyx
Enchanted by: Jerboa (1)
The Eye of Onyx is the tool that is used to select the new SandWing queen. In book 10, it is revealed that it was enchanted to choose the good queen and not favor royal blood over common blood. It is described as a polished onyx with gold wings wrapping around it on a gold chain. It was hidden in a bag inside of Queen Oasis's remains and found in book 5.

2. The Lazulite Dragon
Enchanted by: Unknown dragon (Possibly Jerboa)
Not much is known about this statuette, other than it is a dragon carved from lapis lazuli and with emeralds for eyes. It was mentioned in book 5 when Sunny finds the scavenger treasure

NightWing Objects

1. The Obsidian Mirror
Enchanted by: Stonemover
This mirror is a smooth, glass surface with a carved obsidian headpiece. The way it is used is that a dragon says a name of someone else and breathes smoke across the surface. The smoke curls into colored tendrils and those tendrils will speak in the voices of the dragon being spied on and the surrounding ones as well.

2. The Tunnels
Enchanted by: Stonemover
These tunnels go from the old NightWing volcano to the rainforest and from the rainforest to the Sand Kingdom. They give off an uncomfortable aura and will take a dragon from one half of Pyrrhia to the other.

3. Dinner
Enchanted by: Stonemover
Dinner is a fox Stonemover enchanted to bring him a meal every so often. He enchanted Dinner when he cast the spell on himself to turn his scales to stone.

4. Clearsight's Bracelet
Enchanted by: Darkstalker/ Fathom
This bracelet was enchanted to shield Clearsight's mind from other dragons, but mostly Darkstalker. It is a copper wire bracelet with three moonstones on it. It was then enchanted by Fathom to put Darkstalker in an eternal sleep. Clearsight tricked her lover and slid the bracelet onto him right before the collapse of Agate Mountain.

5. Clearsight's Earrings
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
These earring were enchanted to keep Clearsight focused on the brighter futures, which kept her from seeing the futures where Darkstalker got assassinated and where he tried to kill the Queen. They are moonstones, to match her bracelet.

6. Darkstalker's Scroll
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
This scroll was enchanted to keep Darkstalker's magic in one place as to prevent him from losing his soul, although it still didn't work. He first wrote spells on it in normal ink, but as his spells became more questionable, he began to write in invisible ink. After he got trapped, it ended up in the talons of Chameleon, who used it for  Queen Scarlet. After the dragonets stole it from him, it came to a fiery end in Peril's talons.

7. Soul Reader
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
Enchanted to prove to Fathom that Darkstalker's soul was still good, this item looks like an hourglass attached to a telescope. You point the telescope at a dragon and then the hourglass spins, mixing sand of two different colors. Once it settles, the sand will show how good or bad someone is, white sand being bad and black being good.

8. Fathom's Goblet
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
A stained-glass goblet that Darkstalker enchanted to make Fathom forget about his oath to Pearl and no longer love Indigo

9. Indigo's Statue
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
A wooden carving of Indigo made by Fathom, Darkstalker enchanted a pile of pebbles to trap Indigo in it and make a note saying Indigo left because she didn't love Fathom anymore. However, Fathom found Blob later and knew that something was up, as Indigo would never leave without her pet.

10. Prince Arctic
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
Darkstalker enchanted his father to obey all of his commands, making him disembowel himself in front of a crowd.

11. Immortality Spell
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
Darkstalker enchanted his own scales to be invulnerable to any attacks and immortal, which helped him when he was trapped underneath Agate Mountain. However, his enchantments had a loophole, as Clearsight and Fathom trapped him underground for two thousand years.

12. Dreamvisitors
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
These are three sapphires, cut to look like stars. Darkstalker enchanted them so that he, Clearsight and Fathom could communicate over long distances. It works by cupping your hands and putting the gem to your head. You close your eyes and imagine the person you want to see in your mind, and if they are sleeping, you fall into their dream and talk to them. However, they must be asleep. One was found in the Night Kingdom, one was found with the scavengers, and the third was in a disemboweled NightWing corpse in Burn's tower.

13. Prince Turtle
Enchanted by: Darkstalker
He was enchanted by Darkstalker to lose all his animus power.

IceWing Objects

1. The Gift of Diplomacy
Enchanted by: Penguin
Three bracelets enchanted to give safe passage to the wearers as the pass over the Great Ice Cliff, though the NightWings believed there were four.

2. The Gift of Light
Enchanted by: Frostbite
A tree carved from ice that blooms with light globes. The animus, Frostbite, was said to have studied trees her whole life, and then hand-carved the tree, painstakingly making every detail perfect. Queen Glory later requested a globe from the tree to plant in the rainforest, in trade for Princess Icicle.

3. The Gift of Defense
Enchanted by: Unknown
The Great Ice Cliff is a giant cliff surrounding the kingdom that fires icicle spears at and kills anyone from a different tribe that tries to enter. The Gift of Diplomacy was enchanted to help other dragons from other tribes get over.

4. The Gift of Splendor (See Below)
Enchanted by: Unknown twins
This is the gift that grew the Ice Palace. It is enchanted to not melt, crack, burn, or be damaged. It was then added on by the Gift of Elegance.

5. The Gift of Elegance
Enchanted by: Unknown
This is the enchantment that makes the IceWing palace walls mimic the weather outside.

6. . The Gift of Sustenance
Enchanted by: Unknown
A hole in the ice where anyone can stick their claws in and are guaranteed to catch a seal. However, no real IceWing with dignity would accept food so easily.  

7. The Gift of Vengeance
Enchanted by: Queen Diamond
Queen Diamond's second gift, the Diamond Caves, in which the Diamond Trial was held. This held a large cave, in which Foeslayer was trapped. Frozen-over IceWings are also there, remains of the losers of the Trials. Diamond-tipped spears are also enchanted to freeze Foeslayer over as soon as she is killed.  

8. The Gift of Healing
Enchanted by: Queen Diamond
Diamond's first gift to the tribe, five narwhal horns that can heal any frostbite injuries, but only those. Prince Arctic is heard criticizing it in the prologue of Darkstalker Legends.

9. Foeslayer's Shackles
Enchanted by: Queen Diamond
These shackles are enchanted that only a member of IceWing royalty can open them with one of the spears. Winter opens them in book 7, freeing both him and Foeslayer from the Ice Kingdom.

10. Foeslayer's Earring
Enchanted by: Prince Arctic
A diamond earring enchanted to keep the wearer safe. When Foeslayer took it off in anger after an argument, Diamond's revenge spell on her kicked in and she flew away to the Ice Kingdom to be captured.

11. Whiteout's Necklace
Enchanted by: Prince Arctic
A golden glass seashell necklace enchanted by Arctic to put Whiteout under his control. He uses it to take Whiteout to the Ice Kingdom against her will.

SeaWing Objects

1. Conch
Enchanted by: Albatross
Albatross enchanted this to pulse with light whenever someone lied. This was used for interrogations and negotiations with Queen Coral

2. The Summer Palace
Enchanted by: Albatross and Fathom
This seven-story palace spirals into the air but is covered by a canopy of leaves. When the SeaWing massacre happened, dragons stayed away from it, but it was later taken up as a new home after no one went near the Island Palace.

3. Blob
Enchanted by: Fathom
This octopus was a gift to Indigo from Fathom. He enchanted a piece of wood to carve itself and then brought it to life.

4. Orca's Statue
Enchanted by: Orca
This stone statue was enchanted to kill off any female SeaWing heirs for six years until Princess Tsunami was able to stop it. When Orca challenged her mother, Queen Coral, she was killed by accident and her final words were warning her mother about the statue in a vague way. Coral thought there was an assassin in the palace (Webs) but it turned out the statue was killing off the heirs.

5. Princess Anemone
Enchanted by: Prince Turtle
 When he was at the Talons of Power ceremony, he enchanted her to draw the attention away from himself. What did he enchant her to do? To have animus power.

6. Anemone's Spears
Enchanted by: Anemone
These spears were enchanted to direct the dragonets in the right direction when escaping the Sea Palace.

7. Weather Bracelets
Enchanted by: Anemone
These beaten copper wristlets control the weather. They were originally enchanted to impress Darkstalker when he rose out of the mountain. Qibli then took them and caused a sandstorm with them in the Sand Kingdom during Thorn and Onyx's battle, and used them to summon the 'thunder' in the prophecy. 

8. Duplicating Bowl
Enchanted by: Turtle
A slotted wooden bowl that connects together, Turtle enchanted them originally to make more food. How? By saying, twice as much, please. Qibli then uses it to duplicate the earrings and send them out around the continent.

9. Shielding Earring
Enchanted by: Turtle
An earring enchanted by Turtle for Qibli to make him immune to any spells Darkstalker has cast, whether past, present, or future. When Turtle goes missing, Qibli clones the earrings and gives them to everyone in JMA, the Ice Kingdom, and in Possiblity. Later, he gives them to the NightWings after Darkstalker had been defeated.

10. Searching Coral
Enchanted by: Turtle
A broken piece of coral that searches for anyone you say the name of and won't stop until it touches them. Turtle used it to search for Snapper, but failed after she snuck off to the Summer Palace.

11.. The One-Way Slates
Enchanted by: Turtle
Two slates that communicated one way. Turtle gave one to Qibli to send him help messages. It works by Turtle writing something quickly, and it appears on Qibli's tablet. However, when Turtle erases it, it doesn't erase on Qibli's.

12. Healing Stones
Enchanted by: Turtle
A normal-looking stone Turtle found on the bottom of a river. He enchanted it to heal surface wounds and relieve tension in his muscles after flying.

13. Emotional Moss
Enchanted by: Anemone
When the IceWing/NightWing war moved to Jade Mountain, Anemone enchanted a clump of moss to make the fighters feel what their opponents were fighting for. This resulted in peace between the tribes for many years as they finally threw away the old rivalry and got along better.

Chameleon-Enchanted Items

1. The Pyrite Mask
Enchanted by: Chameleon (Using Darkstalker's Scroll)
A necklace that made the wearer in a prison of a made-up dragon named Pyrite. This was used as a prison for Winter's brother, Hailstorm by Queen Scarlet. It gives the wearer a strange urge to protect the necklace at all costs.

2. Ruby's Earring
Enchanted by: Chameleon (Using Darkstalker's Scroll)
A teardrop-shaped earring encrusted with rubies that transformed Princess Tourmaline into a different identity named Ruby. It was originally intended as a prison for Scarlet's daughter, but backfired as Ruby grew her own identity and became a strong-willed queen.

3. Chameleon's Forms
Enchanted by: Chameleon (Using Darkstalker's Scroll)
A leather pouch containing the scroll-scraps with the spells in them. His known forms are Shapeshifter the NightWing, Soar the SkyWing, Cirrus the IceWing, and Bog the MudWing. He uses them to perform business for Queen Scarlet in return for treasure. He disguises himself to prove the RainWings wrong, as he was born with a snout deformity which caused him to not be able to shift colors.

4. Peril's Necklace
Enchanted by: Chameleon (Using Darkstalker's Scroll)
A metal chain-link necklace containing a spell to make her scales fire-less, for her to have undying loyalty to Queen Scarlet, and for her to forget all about Clay. This backfires when she remembers Turtle, and this alarms Scarlet and Chameleon.

Others

1. MudWing Egg
Enchanted by: Unknown
A MudWing egg that was cursed by an animus to hatch a deformed MudWing. The stuffed outcome of this is in Burn's weirdling tower.

2. Shifting Strawberry
Enchanted by: Kinkajou (Using Darkstalker's Scroll)
A dark red strawberry that was enchanted to turn Darkstalker into a dragonet with no memories of his former self, a dragonet named Peacemaker. Although most dragons considered Darkstalker dead or trapped, Moon is seen thinking in the epilogue of book 10 about how Kinkajou's real story will be told once she and Peacemaker were long gone.
