I've been on the fence with this issue for a while but i think ive finally resolved it

so, about anti-shippers, those who violently protest against and police a fandom over "problematic ships"...

it's stupid. it's all stupid.

let's be real: its fiction. it's all fiction. it's not real. it doesnt matter, if im being entirely honest.

yes, incest and whatever is detestable and disgusting and I hate it with all my being

but

someone shipping two fictional characters hurts absolutely no one. it squicks me out, but guess what????? 100% of all websites have a blocking mechanism! if someone posts shipping content i hate...i can block them! i can blacklist the tag! i dont have to look at it!!!!!

the anti-shippers do way more damage than the innocent ppl drawing fanart or whatever. hate, harassment, death threats, entitlement...the anti-shipping community is nasty and cancer in a fandom. these idiots are the bad guys in this situation. i also despise that toxic community, as much as i hate those nasty ships

i have the right to complain and whine and rage on my blog or whatever as long as i want to but ya know, i dont have any right to attack a fellow fandom member and tell them what to ship. it costs 0.00$ to stay in my lane and avoid stuff i dont like. cause just as i got a right to criticize em, shippers got the right to ship stuff. live and let live. get off your high horse and mind your own business.

and its kinda amazing how these idiots seem to value fictional characters more than the people theyre literally attacking behind the screen.

and also...i wish the anti-shippers actually did something productive. imagine if, instead of doxxing some kid over shipping a 17 and a 19, they donated money to a charity that helps victims of child molestation. imagine a world like that.
