Date (Part 2)
Previously:
The man asked Josh what he wanted for a prize and he saw me look at the F/A plush. He pointed to it and the man gave it to him. Once Josh received it he turned around and handed it over to me.
"Here you go, I saw you looking at it and you seemed really sad when you didn't win so I thought I should win it for you," Josh said smiling.
"Thank you, Josh." I thanked.
Your POV
We walked around the fair for a bit going on various rides like the carousel, dodgems and other stalls with various different games. The sun started setting and we grabbed some food. Once we finished eating Josh grabbed my hand and dragged me through crowds of people.
"Josh slow down. Where are we going?" I asked trying to catch up to him.
"To a very special ride." Is all he replied with.
I huffed in frustration as this was the second time today he had done that. This guy really likes surprises.
We stopped at the end of a short line of people in front of the Ferris wheel. The line moved quickly and we soon arrived at the front of the line, getting into the cart. As I stepped on, Josh grabbed my hand in his as he could tell I was nervous. Hights weren't my favourite thing in the world but I could handle being some distance off the ground.
The wheel started moving and the winds began to pick up, slightly rocking the cart we were sat in. It was a really magical moment, seeing the beautiful orange, yellows and pinks of the sunset transferring to the dark blues of the night. Stars started to dot the sky and I swear I saw a shooting star for a split second.
"Make a wish," Josh said as I turned my attention to him.
I closed my eyes tight and thought of the one thing I wanted most. Once I made my wish I opened them again to see Josh staring at me. He blushed a little and looked away. There was silence for a couple of minutes. It wasn't a bad silence though more like a comforting one. I lightly rested my head on Josh's shoulder and smiled lightly.
"What did you wish for?" He finally asked.
"It's a surprise." I mimicked, giggling somewhat in the process.
The ride came to a sudden stop as we reached the top and I jumped a bit at the unexpected move.
I looked down suddenly and immediately regretted doing so because I realised how high from the ground we were. I started breathing heavily and Josh must've noticed because he wrapped an arm around me and pulled me closer to him.
"Don't worry, I won't let you fall." He reassured as I held onto his shirt for safety.
After a minute or two I let go of his shirt and looked into his mocha eyes.He slowly leaned in and I followed. Our lips were inches apart and I could feel his breath on my lips. I closed my eyes as he closed the gap between us and melted into the kiss. It was so enchanting. Who would have known that I would kiss Josh Dun, on a Ferris wheel, at sunset in a fair? It was too unrealistic. But it happened.
