Chapter Seventeen
Rose's POV

Lily dropped me off at school and Daniel tried to talk to me but I walked away I dropped a piece of paper on the ground and he picked it up.

"Dear Daniel, now the only time I will see you is at school because Lily is going back to the orphanage and I'm going with her, since I'm still mad at you for dumping me, I'm asking the principal to change my classes so we don't have half of them together. -From Rose."

I heard Daniel walking towards me but I didn't care and just walked to class.
When I sat down her stood in front of my desk.

D-"You're leaving?!"

"yes."

D-"So you're telling me you're leaving and changing all your classes so I can't see you anymore over a note?!" (he says as he holds up the note)

"You broke up with me over a note, I thought you'd like it." I say coldly.

He was about to say something else but the bell rang, he sat down next to me and tried to pass me a note but I didn't grab it and the teacher caught him so he had to stay 10 minutes after class.
When the bell rang I went to the principal's office to get my schedule change so instead of having half of my classes and the same lunch as Daniel I would only have two classes and the same lunch.
(Ok so I still wanted to see him at least once each day.)
When I walked out to my next class he said my new schedule would start tomorrow.

~After School~

I didn't walk home, I had to go home with Lily so we wouldn't miss Mrs. Smith if she came early.
Christian gave us a hug before he left. (I could tell he might start crying if he did leave right that second)

"Lily?"

L-"Yes Rose?" She said has she put our suitcases by the door.

"What is it like at the orphanage?"

L-"Well... have you ever seen the movie Annie?"

"Yes."

L-"It's a bit nicer than the orphanage in the movie."

"Oh."

We finished putting our stuff by the door before we had to leave.
10 minutes later Mrs. Smith came.
I could tell Lily didn't want to leave but she didn't seem to have a choice.
I saw a tear drop run down her face as she got in the front seat, I sat in the back, I could tell Lily was arguing with Mrs. Smith but I couldn't hear what they were saying.
5 minutes later we arrived at Smith's orphanage (for girls) and she showed us to our room.

L-"Rose if you have any trouble getting around, I'm sure Lily would love to show you the way." She said as she walked out the door.

I started to unpack but Lily sat on her bed with a picture of everyone at easter this year.

"Lily what happened when you were in the orphanage?"

She wiped her tears before she answered me.

L-"Well I was her for 3 years no one noticed I was gone not even Autumn, I made some friends here but they all got adopted except for Violet, Elsie and Kathleen, but I doubt they're still here then I had enough of this and a ran away, and now I won't leave this place for 4 more years till I'm 18."

She started to cry some more, before three girls ran in.
