Did I hear boxing?
Today, was a normal day. The sun was high up in the sky like it is most normal days, and Senpai was in the art room drawing some fruit in a bowl, also like normal days. Actually it was a lamp this time, but the idea is still the same.
Behind him was Nagatoro violently punching the air. Her arms in a philly shell stance, she jabbed away at the air she seemed to hate with a burning passion. She had been doing this for a while now, and finally Senpai looked behind him and asked her a question he should have asked a while ago.
"What are you doing?" He asks looking to her.
"Shadow boxing." She replies as she continues to punch at the air.
Rapidly moving around the room Senpai simply watches as she continues to punch the air with the ferocity of a lion.
"I've been hooked on boxing ever since you lent me that Ippo show." She says still in her stance.
'I probably shouldn't have shown her that' He says regretting his previous decision.
Just as he thinks that, she takes a break from beating the devil out of the air and looks to Senpai with a hint of evil.
"Se-n-pai..." She says looking to him.
By this point he had been thrown into a panic, he knew what she was about to ask, what she was about to do, and he also knew that he was absolutely powerless to stop it.
"Be my sparing partner!" She demanded throwing jabs at his head.
As quick as possible he ducks under them, but unbeknownst to both of them a figure was in the doorway with his hands behind him. The way the light reflected off of him gave him the appearance of either angelic or demonic depending on where you were standing, but the tricks of light couldn't hide the figure's horrifically short statue, in less than a moment they knew it was Yuka.
"Did I hear boxing?" He asked.
The two just look at him without an idea of what to say or do.
"Scrawny! You're learning how to box!" Yuka says with genuine happiness in his voice.
Walking over he pulls his hands out from behind him and he is revealed to not just be wearing his usual boxing tape, but boxing gloves as well.
"So, you two are sparring?" He asks looking to Nagatoro.
"Yes, we were just about to start." She says.
"Okay, I'll be ref then." He says taking off his gloves and throwing them on the couch.
---
The two were standing in front of each other staring one another down. Nagatoro was in her philly shell stance, and Senpai was slightly hunched over not even lifting up his hands at all.
"No guard? I like you, gutsy just like Naseem was!" Yuka said signaling the start of the fight.
As soon as he did that Nagatoro got closer as Senpai drew away terrified.
"Boxers aren't supposed to hit anybody out of the ring." He says in a pleading voice.
"I know that, I'll stop right before I hit you, like this!" Nagatoro replies before sending a flurry of jabs at him.
In instinct he finally raises his hands up, but just as she promised her jabs stopped just short of him. Taking a break from the jabs she realized that he was not attempting to fight back at all.
"Come on! You can hit me back!" She says before starting on another flurry of quick jabs.
"What am I supposed to do?!" Senpai asks now wincing.
She continues with the jabs, putting up a decent offense, now seemingly teleporting all around the room Senpai was helpless, simply putting his hands up in defense and cowering down. Despite her best efforts, a jab or two still hit his head.
Finally he was being attacked and he was backpedaling, slipping his shoe on the floor he leans forward to account for the shift. Nagatoro sees her opportunity and goes in for a quick cross, but he shifts forward and gets her in a clinch.
Both of them were shocked at the move, and both him and Nagatoro had a flicker of red on their face. Yuka wasn't concerned with that though, he was counting the seconds.

"Alright, break it up, break it up." Yuka says forcefully pushing the two away from each other.
Breaking out of her shock Nagatoro takes up her philly shell stance once again, now with a look of anger.
'She's going to beat me to death!' Senpai thinks.
"Of course you would put me in a clinch right off the bat, Senpai!" She says with disgust in her voice.
Senpai looked back confused, and finally Yuka caught on to what was going on. He didn't know boxing at all. Quickly getting in between the two he separates them.
"It's over, TKO!" He says before walking Senpai over to another corner of the room.
---
"Alright, yeah, left foot in front, left hand in front." Yuka says correcting Senpai's position.
He had wanted to get back to drawing for a while now, but Yuka insisted that he learn boxing after that pitiful display.
"Good, good, now when you throw any punch you exhale sharply through the nose like this." Yuka says before demonstrating. "What it does is tighten the core, and add extra power to your punch, but you don't want to open your mouth to exhale, that's how you get your jaw broken." He say before laughing slightly.
He didn't necessarily want to do it, but he felt that he didn't really have a choice. He threw some weak punches while exhaling like he said.
"There we go, that's how you do it!" He said patting Senpai's back with his gloves.
"Thanks, but I think I'll go back to drawing." Senpai says walking away.
"Yeah, I don't think boxing's for you." Yuka said looking him over, "No heart, no staying power, I'm sorry for wasting both of our time." He says before walking to the door.
Just as he goes to open it, it's opened for him by Nagatoro who was sweating and in a clear panic.
"Senpai, run away!" She screams to him.
He looks up from his drawing to see her in the doorway. Behind her, a couple of them run in, first was Gamo, then followed by Yoshi, and finally Sakura.
"Paisen, let's spar!" Gamo says.
"Clinch!" Yoshi adds on excitedly.
"Pincer!" Sakura says.
Nagatoro quickly runs to Senpai's defense, only to be pushed aside by Yuka.
"You two, just sit back and watch." He says before turning to face Gamo.
"Wanna go?" Gamo asks raising her hands up.
Yuka raises his hands up in his normal peek-a-boo stance.
"Go, Go!" Yoshi and Sakura chant in unison egging Gamo on.
'This was her fault, wasn't it?' Senpai silently asks himself while looking at Nagatoro.
The two looked each other down, and were ready to fight, but suddenly they were interrupted. The sound of energetic rock music and vocals by Sumire Uesaka. Looking up to the sky Yuka and Gamo had eyes of sadness.
"Please, just a little bit longer, we want an epic fight scene!" Yuka pleaded.
His prayers fell on deaf ears as the screen for the intro came in. With all his might he tried his best to stop the intro from overtaking the screen, but alas it was for not, nobody beats the intro.

Maybe less of a fact, but more of a clarification, Prince Naseem Hamed was a British who held the featherweight WBO championship from 1995 to 2000, IBF 1997, and WBC title from 1999-2000. Known for being eccentric in the ring, incredible footwork, and his unique guard of, well, no guard. Ever time he went into the ring he seemed to be asking the question of 'how much can I get away with while still winning' and usually he did win, only losing once in 37 of his fights.
He used to do stuff like this regularly for reference, and yes, those feathers on the trunks are technically legal.
