Welcome to my life

I'm broken, sad and lonely
Yet I paint myself to be happy
I have lovely follows
Yet I'm a lonely fellow
I smile sweetly on the outside
Slowly dying in the inside

Welcome to my life;
The so-called happy life you know
Welcome to my life;
The so-called lovely life you know
Welcome to my life;
The so-called smiling life you know
But you are not welcome to my heart.

For inside my heart, is a broken soul
Inside my heart, are emotions locked up.
Inside my heart, are feelings I cannot comprehend
Inside my heart, is a lonely soul.

I'm bruised ,yet still battered
I use makeup to cover the bruises on my body
If only the makeup could cover the bruises in my heart
I smile to prove to all that I'm okay
If only the smile could prove to me that I'm happy.
I laugh to heal my life
If only the laugh, could heal my heart

People say when you fall you rise again
But I've fallen way too down to rise again
People say when your heart is left shattered,you pick up the broken pieces and mend it back
But my heart is shattered,
way beyond repair.

This is my real life
My life is not how the media portrays me to be
My life is not the life you know
This is my life;
My true life and not fake life

I'll keep on smiling
I'll keep on pretending
I'll keep on putting on a facade
Maybe, one day
My life will become the way I've painted it
