JOSIE'S POV

Ari, Sarah, and I were walking to class. We saw an odd pink glow creeping from under the door. It made me feel warm inside, and my crush, a nerdy guy called Grayson, waved at me shyly. Ari looked suddenly panicked. "Hey, guys, we should go see what's in there," I said. Sarah nodded. Ari's eyes darted to the left. "We'll be late for class." "Oh, come on, Ari." "No. I've got Ms. Arlington next. I can't be late." "Whatever, Ari. We're gonna check it out," Sarah said. With that, we walked off. Ari cringed and followed us. Sarah ripped open the door. There sat a gorgeous pink orb on a pedestal. I stared in wonder. "Um, Josie, you might not wanna touch that," Ari says. But I already have. My stomach twists and Sarah lets loose a scream. Gorgeous wings popped out of Ari's back and she, as well, screamed.
