Kira's P.O.V.:

I was on the bounty with the rest of the ninja. Lloyd hadn't come out of his room since his argument with the ninja. I figured he was just sleeping and I was just being paranoid.

I decided to check on him, but his door was locked. I kept knocking and calling his name, but nothing happened. Eventually I kicked the door open and entered the room.

I didn't see Lloyd anywhere but I saw my bandana and a letter addressed to me on his nightstand. I opened the letter and began to read it.

     Dear Kira,

     If you're reading this, then you probably noticed I'm gone. I went to Kryptarian to face my father. I know it's a suicide mission, but if I can't change my father, than I'd rather die trying.

     I wanted to tell you this in person, but I knew if I did you probably would've talked me out of leaving and/or laughed in my face. I couldn't bring myself to leave without telling you how I really feel about you, so I wrote it down. Totally impersonal I know, but you told me not to hide my feelings, so here goes nothing.

     I really like you Kira. Like... like you, like you. You're kind and caring and awesome and always willing to help people in need. You make me laugh even when I'm down and I feel like I can tell you anything. I've never felt this way about anyone before.

I know you think I'm crazy, and to be honest I don't think I deserve anyone as great as you, but I couldn't die without letting you know. The only regret I'll carry with me is that I'll never know if you liked me too.

Tell my friends I'm sorry, and thank you for everything.

I couldn't believe he felt this way. I had no idea. I have to do something to help him.

I ran out to the others on the deck panicked and catching my breath.

"Kira, what's wrong?" Kai asked.

"It's Lloyd." I said. "He... He's going to face his father."

"What?!" The whole room exclaimed.

"That's suicide!" Cole yelled.

"Wait, his car is on the move." Nya said looking at the control screen. "Maybe we can still call him on the video phone."

"Well don't just stand there, do it!" Kai yelled.

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

I was on my way to fight to my father at Kryptarian. The video phone showed my friends on it, but they weren't going to stop me. Nobody would.

"Lloyd don't do this!" Nya yelled.

"I'm not in the mood to talk." I said, keeping my eyes on the road. "This ends. Now."

"No Lloyd, this doesn't end now." Jay said. "It's a two way frequency! Come on buddy."

"Lloyd please." Kira begged. "This isn't the way."

"I'm sorry, this is just something I have to do." I frowned. "And Kira, if I don't come back, I hope you know how I really feel about you."

I punched the screen once and it stopped the video feed.

"You can't get rid of us that easily." I heard Kai say.

I punched the screen more and more until the whole panel fell out. I continued to my drive until I reached the prison.

Kira's P.O.V.:

"What did he mean by "how I really feel about you?"" Cole asked me.

"I'll tell you later, right now we just have to get him out of there." I panicked.

"Zane see if you can unlock the navigation." Nya told him.

Zane tried to hack into the navigation in Lloyd's car. He managed to do it, but it was too late. All of a sudden an image of Lloyd walking into Kryptarian appeared on the screen.

"Guys look!" Nya yelled.

"Whoa Lloyd's on TV!" Jay yelled.

"He's gonna get himself killed!" Cole panicked.

"It's Harumi, she wants us to watch." Kai frowned.

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

I arrived at Kryptarian Prison. I knew this was probably going to be the last thing I ever did, but if I could get my father to remember, maybe I could get through to him. I was standing in the middle of the prison. The door closed behind me. There was no turning back now.

"It was foolish to come here." That haunting voice said.

"Show yourself father!" I yelled and charged up my powers.

My father appeared walking through the other door.

"You... you've changed." He said.

"So have you." I lowered my powers. "I don't wanna have to fight you."

He jumped towards me and pushed me back. His punches were stronger than I remember, it's like they were draining my energy from my body but I couldn't give up. I quickly got up and tried to start up my powers again, but he never gave me the chance. He swung at me again and jumped up on the rails to avoid it.

"Please, this isn't you!" I yelled.

"This is the new me!" He yelled. He put his arms together and created some kind of purple energy.

"You have power?" I questioned.

He screamed and started shooting at me with his powers. I jumped around the rails of the prison cells to avoid his attacks until I found myself back in front of him.

"I didn't come to fight you." I said. He kept creeping up on me. "My father's somewhere in there. I saved you once, I'll save you again."

"There is nothing left to save!" He ran towards and threw a punch. I jumped out the way just in time and he hit the pole instead, shattering it to pieces. "I've played many rolls, worn many masks. Father, husband, brother, teacher, but only one was summoned back."

As he kept talking he was throwing his powers at me. I tried to flip to avoid them, but every time he landed a hit. I could feel the power inside me draining with every blow. I started backing away and he hit me again. I felt weak, but I couldn't give up. Not now.

I got up and ran to him. We fist fought and he was obviously had the upper hand. I tried to keep talking to him and getting him to change, but he didn't listen to me.

He grabbed me by the shirt and threw me through a wall. My side really hurt, but I couldn't stop. I got up and kept fighting with everything I had.

My father ran back towards me and I threw a blast, but I was dizzy and couldn't see straight. I missed horribly. He took the advantage and slammed me against the wall. I managed to make it back to the middle of the prison, but I was still hurting everywhere.

He charged towards me again. I didn't want to hurt him, but I had no other choice. I charged up my powers and we were fighting. He kept blocking all my punches and I could see his powers flailing up.

Eventually I had to jump out of the way and catch my breath. I looked around for him and surprised me. He picked me up by the throat.

"Y-you won't hurt me." I struggled. "I'm your son."

He looked me right in the eyes. "I have no son."

At that moment I did something a ninja would never do. I gave up. It was over. I couldn't change my father. He won. My friends were right, my father wasn't in there anymore. He was gone. All was lost, at least for me.

He threw me towards a wall and I kept hurdling from room to room until I found myself outside. I must've flown through at least ten rooms before I ended up outside. Everything hurt so much I couldn't even move. I managed to take the photo out of my pocket and get one last look at it.

"Father."

It flew out of my hand and I passed out...

Kira's P.O.V.:

Me and the others finally arrived at Kryptarian Prison and we were searching the grounds for Lloyd. When we found him he was laying face down on the ground unconscious. I ran to him.

"Lloyd!" I shouted.

I knelt down beside him and felt his wrist to feel a pulse. I could feel it but it was slower than it should be. I immediately started using my powers to heal him, but Nya stopped me.

"Kira wait." She said.

"But if I don't do something he could die." I told her.

"Kira your powers are limited, you won't be able to heal something this big." Kai said. "We can't afford to loose you too."

"Just let me do what I can." I said.

"Ok but don't push yourself." Cole agreed.

"I'm gonna call Misako from the bounty." Nya said. "I'll lower the gurney so we can get Lloyd up there."

"Thank you Nya." I said.

I went back to healing Lloyd. He had more injuries than I could count. I healed him as much as I could and I got him to wake up, but not entirely. He was squirming and barely opened his eyes. I realized that his eyes were now black instead of his normal lime green color. That scared me.

"K-Kira..." He struggled.

"Shh, save your strength." I said gently shushing him. "Don't even try to get up."

He weakly nodded and laid back down. The other ninja helped him onto the gurney and lifted him up to the bounty.

Nya told us that Misako said to take Lloyd to Mistaké's Tea Shop, so we all got back on the ship and headed there as fast as we could.

Once there, Mistaké agreed to help us and was making Lloyd a special tea, but it was taking a while. I was trying to use my powers to heal him, but for most of his injuries it didn't work. I couldn't give up. I had to save him.

It had been two hours since I started healing him. I had never used that much power before, and I was starting to get a little worn out but I had to keep going. Finally I couldn't go on any more and I fell to the ground out of breath.

"Kira stop, you've been trying for hours." Nya frowned and helped me up.

"I-I have to keep going." I said.

I tried to stand up, but I was too exhausted. I fell into Nya's arms and she helped me sit down in a chair.

"Are you ok?" Cole asked me.

"I think I soothed his pain for a while, but I couldn't heal his injuries." I caught my breath. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to help him more."

"That's ok, you did what you could." Kai said to me. "You deserve a break."

"Mistaké, hurry. He's burning up."  Jay said wiping Lloyd's head with a rag.

"You cannot rush tea." Mistaké came out with the tea in her hand. "You must have the patience to get it right."

"Is it going to make him better?" Cole asked.

"It will heal his wounds, but..." She stopped.

"But what?" Nya asked.

Kai sighed loudly. "There's always a but!"

"But it comes with a price." Mistaké continued. "I speak of a price for you and your friend. You must place your hand upon him. The tea will focus your elemental powers to save him, but it may use all the powers you have left."

"Are you telling us to save him, we might lose our powers?" Jay asked.

"Perhaps, perhaps not." She said.

Lloyd squirmed and groaned in pain for a few seconds, then went silent again. He was obviously listening to us.

"Do it!" Nya yelled.

"Wait, you don't just rush into decisions like this." Kai interrupted.

"You're just thinking about yourself." Cole yelled.

"Maybe I am, but you saw how powerful Lord Garmadon was." Kai frowned. "Without our elemental powers, what chance do we have?"

"The decision needs to be unanimous." Zane stated and put his hand on Lloyd's leg. "I will give up my power to save Lloyd."

"Me too." Jay put his hand on Lloyd's arm.

"It's not even a choice." Cole said putting his hand on Lloyd, followed by Nya and eventually Kai.

I got up and put my hand on Lloyd too, but Mistaké pulled my hand away.

"You have given him enough." She smiled. "You must rest to be ready if things go wrong."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"If the tea does not work, you are the backup plan young healer."

"Backup plan?" Nya said. "But I thought you said this was going to work."

"Even the safest plans need a plan B." Mistaké winked at me.

I nodded and set back down. I didn't know what she meant, but we didn't have much time to ask follow up questions.

Mistaké and Nya helped Lloyd sit up. He drank the tea and he started screaming. The others' powers started glowing from their hands. Lloyd's eyes finally opened and for a second they were green again before quickly fading back to black. Then he fell still and silent again.

"Now we wait." Mistaké said.

We waited hours upon hours upon hours, but Lloyd didn't move an inch. I was starting to worry about him.

At one point Kai tried out his powers and they still worked. That was great for the ninja, but that possibly meant that the tea didn't work.

All of a sudden the ground started to shake and we heard people screaming outside. The ninja went to check it out and came back panicked.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Oh, only a giant rock monster that wants to KILL US!" Jay screamed.

"Ahh!" Lloyd flinched and tried to wake up, but he still couldn't move.

"Lloyd, relax." I held his hand. "It's gonna be ok."

"But what about Lloyd?" Kai frowned.

"Kira and I will watch over them, you guys go." Nya said.

Before they went outside, Mistaké stopped Jay and gave him a to go bag. Jay was confused, but he shrugged and took the bag anyway. Then he followed the others.

"K-Kira." Lloyd said half awake and then coughed.

"Easy." I held his hand.

"The tea is not working." Mistaké said. "The only thing that can help him now, is a healing master's true potential."

"That's our plan B." Nya realized. "Kira, you need to unlock your true potential."

"Ok, but how do I do that?" I asked panicked.

"Calm down, you can do this. Just focus on something you really care about. Face your fear. Don't let anything hold you back." Nya lectured.

I nodded and I focused all my energy on Lloyd and thought about how much I cared for him. I faced the fear of messing up and loosing him and I held nothing back. His whole body began to glow and he floated up in the air. I did it, I unlocked my true potential!

When it was all over I could hardly stand up I was so exhausted. Nya caught me and helped me stand. Lloyd opened his eyes and slightly set up from the table.

"Father!" He screamed and caught his breath.

"Lloyd, you're ok." Nya smiled.

"Are you ok?" Lloyd noticed me out of breath and leaning on Nya for balance.

"I am now that you are." I smiled.

"I... I had a dream." Lloyd held his head. "Of a giant, and my father. He's looking for Wu."

"That was no dream, that was a vision." Mistaké said.

"Do you still have your power?" Nya asked.

Lloyd put his hand up, but nothing happened. "I don't understand. I can't... Why can't I...?"

"You're alive, that's all you need to know." Nya smiled.

Lloyd tried to sit up but he was weak. I ran to his side.

"Easy now, you've been through a lot." I said helping him sit up.

"Kira?" Lloyd said.

"Yes Lloyd?"

"I think I could use another one of those hugs right now." He looked at me.

I smiled, nodded and gently gave him a hug. He hugged me back so tight. I was so happy he was alive.

"Awe!" Nya gushed.

"You must get to the child before it's too late." Mistaké said.

"Before I go out there, there's one thing I need to know." Lloyd took my hand. "What I said in the letter. I know you probably just think I'm a powerless loser now, and you'd probably never go for a guy like me, but if I don't make it out of this I have to know. Did you ever have... the same feelings for me that I have for you?"

"Does this answer your question?" I gave him a kiss on the cheek and he blushed. "By the way, powers or no, you're not a loser."

"But my father's still out there." He frowned. "Without my powers I'm not the green ninja."

"Don't say that." Nya said.

"I can't... I can't defeat him." He frowned and laid back down.

"We need to fight on." I said.

We heard another thump outside and we knew the monster was near.

"Do you have any strength left?" Nya asked.

He set up on the table and gave us a gentle nod. Nya and I helped him get off the table and he leaned on our shoulders as we walked him outside.

"Wait!" Mistaké stopped us and put something in green Lloyd's pocket. "Take this with you." She whispered something in Lloyd's ear. "You may not have powers but that was never what made you powerful. It was knowing what to do, when to do it."

"We need to hurry. They're not far." Nya said.

"Go ninja, go." Mistaké cheered. "The end is not the end, but only a new beginning."
