The Resistance Never Quits

This chapter is a pretty short one, so to make up for it I will be posting not one, but TWO CHAPTERS today! Yay! Enjoy! 😉

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

We were standing in front of the TV and saw that UV was after the mailman. She had already captured almost everyone in town and Ninjago. It was really bringing us all down.

"Everyday. Pick off our friends. Pick, pick, pick." Karlof frowned.

"As long as it's not me." Dareth said.

I saw Seliel look away from the TV and she sighed. Kira and I noticed she was upset and went to talk to her.

"It's ok, we'll get them back." Kira said to her.

"I know we will, but I just can't stand feeling like a failure." She frowned. "I let my entire village and my father get captured and I couldn't do anything to stop it."

"I know how that feels." I sighed. "But learning my friends could still be alive gave me the strength I needed to fight on, and we can't give up now."

"You're right, thanks." Seliel said.

I saw Skylor walking towards the vehicle that Nya and them were working on. Kira stayed to talk to Seliel and I went to check on how the vehicle was coming along.

"It looks bigger than your other builds." I said. "What are you making?"

"Since we're outnumbered, we're upping the vehicle on fire power." Nya explained. "Thanks to some feedback from Skylor I feel like it's really taking shape."

"But it's so bulky, we'll be sitting ducks in that thing." I pointed out.

"It's a work in progress." Skylor said. "She'll be ready."

"Karlof." Mistaké came downstairs. "Do you think I could get your help with Lloyd's training?"

"Oh it would be my..." He clapped his metal hands together. "Pleasure."

"Go easy on me." I said. "I'm powerless."

"Awe don't say that." Kira said.

"Actually, it won't be Lloyd who will be fighting Karlof, but Dareth." She said pointing to him.

"Me?!" Dareth was shocked. "I mean... it's about time."

"But he isn't an elemental master." I said pointing to him.

"Neither are you!" She knocked my hand away with her cane. "Power takes many forms beyond what is physical. The power of persuasion, the power of numbers, and the power to lead."

"Don't forget, the power of metal!" Karlof screamed. He was already in the ring we had set up.

"Oh boy, you're gonna be a tough nut to crack." Dareth said under his breath while nervously stepping in the ring.

Everyone gathered around to watch the fight. At first I didn't know what to do.

"Don't look at me." Mistaké said.

"Lead him son." My mother said.

I tried my best to talk Dareth through the fight, but it was no use. At the end of it Dareth was screaming and hugging the pole of the ring so Karlof couldn't reach him.

"I'm sorry Lloyd, I let you down." Dareth frowned.

"I can't fight everyone's fights." I frowned.

"I'm sorry, couldn't here that." Mistaké said.

"I said I can't fight everyone's..." I paused. "How do I lead the resistance?"

"By finding your voice. The more you inspire, the more others will inspire you." She walked over to the TV. "And you better find your voice soon, because today you will be taking back the airwaves."

"Airwaves?" I questioned.

"The people of Ninjago think you are gone." She turned the TV off. "Show them you are not."

"You heard her, let's get a plan together." I smiled. "It's time to show them up that the resistance..."

"Never quits!" Everyone shouted.

Zane's P.O.V.:

My brother and I had been at this for so long it was starting to get dark. I couldn't see the smoke from the ship wreck anymore and my navigation systems were damaged when we landed so I had no sense of direction. I had no idea where we were headed.

As for my brother, his chest was not looking good at all he was still unable to walk by himself. I needed to find a way to repair him and soon.

"How Long have we been walking?" My brother complained.

"At least four miles." I answered. "I assume you need a break?"

"No of course not. Someone who is as advanced as me does need to take breaks."

"Someone who is as advanced as you should know when you have pushed your limits." I told him.

"What limits?" He bragged.

He pushed away from me and tried to walk by himself, but I could tell he was still in pain from the injury to his chest.

"Those limits." I supported him and helped him sit down on the ground.

I looked at his chest to make sure it was not getting any worse. I noticed a few wires had come loose so I did my best to fix them.

"We best take a break here until sunrise." I suggested. "We'll be able to see better in the daylight."

"We're nindroids, don't we have night vision?" My brother questioned.

"Mine does not appear to be working. Even if it was, my navigation is offline and I have lost the ship's trail. It would be if no use to me."

"Wait, you're telling me we have been wandering in this desert and you do not even know where your going?"

I was about to answer when I saw something running towards us in the distance. It looked like a young child. As he got closer I realized that was our old/young master Wu himself. He seemed out of breath and looked as though he had been running quite a while.

"Zane!" He shouted as he kept running.

"Master Wu?" I questioned.

"They... they took everyone!" He huffed before kneeling on the ground in exhaustion.

"You know this child?" My brother asked.

"Let's just say he's an old friend." I said. "Did you see where they went?"

"Y-Yes." He caught his breath and pointed farther north. "They took them to a camp a little beyond the shipwreck."

"Who took them?" I asked.

"I don't know, I didn't see them." He said. "They took what was left of the ship."

"That's why I could not find it." I realized.

I saw Wu sit down and pant as I heard his stomach growling. He must have been hungry and dehydrated after running for so long.

"We must find him some food and water." I told my brother. "Unlike the two of us he cannot survive without it."

"Where? We're in the desert." He said frustrated.

I started looking for anything around here that he could eat or drink. Unfortunately my brother was right, there was nothing but sand around for miles.

"Master Wu, you must take us to where the others were captured. Can you do that?" I asked.

He nodded and I helped him up. Then I helped my brother up and he leaned on my for balance. We then followed Wu for a few miles until we came across a long gate with an area on the other side. It seemed to be much busier over there.

"Are you sure they went this way?" I asked Wu.

"I took you back the way I came." He said.

"Alright, let's find you some food." I said to him.

As we were searching for food, we came across a small grove of trees growing some fruit that I was unfamiliar with. It was safe to eat so I picked some for little Wu who quite enjoyed the taste of it.

As Wu was enjoying his meal, a baby dragon appeared next to us. Wu tried to carefully approach it, but we all ended up being chased into a nearby cave. I used my powers to block the entrance so we wouldn't let the mama dragon in.

"Zane, look at this." Wu called over to me.

I ran over to him and we saw some drawings on the wall. They were drawings of the Oni and dragon and I realized where we were. In the first realm.

"We need to find the others and warn them." I said.

"Why?" My brother asked.

"Because they are my friends." I said.

"Whatever." He crossed his arms.

"I sure hope the others are ok." Wu sighed.

"They're tough, I am sure they are fairing fine." I assured him.

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

Me and a few of the elemental masters got all the way up to the broadcasting room in the building that was now my father's headquarters. Skylor turned on the cameras on and told me to start talking.

"Hello Ninjago, it's me Lloyd Garmadon, the green ninja. Lord Garmadon wants you to be afraid, but I need you to be brave. With the help of princess Harumi, Lord Garmadon struck a major blow against Ninjago city and beyond, we are ready to strike back. There is a resistance, and we may be small, but we are pow..."

I paused as I noticed one of the screens behind Skylor. It was showing the footage of me fighting my father at Kryptarian.

"P-powerful." I tried to keep speaking, but it was too hard. I couldn't stop thinking about the fact my father was really gone.

Skylor turned around and noticed the footage and tried to get it off the screen. The SOG started banging on the door from the outside.

"Hurry! Hurry!" Her haunting voice from outside the door sent chills up my spine.

I looked down at the floor and saw pictures of everyone that UV had taken. I wasn't going to let her get away with this.

"I may not have elemental power, but I call upon the power of the people." I continued. "When we get knocked down, we rise up stronger than before. This is our city! He thinks he can bully us with stone giants, well this isn't the first time our city has faced ruin. Buildings fall, but we rise! And to you father, I say this: fighting me may make you feel powerful, but you're about to see what real power is! The resistance never quits!"

We got out of there as fast as we could and we all came back from the mission. I did it, I gave hope to the people once again.

Jay's P.O.V.:

I was running out of the junkyard ready to test out my new invention.

"Jay honey, be back be supper." My mother yelled from the trailer.

"I will Mom." I yelled back slightly frustrated.

"And no crazy stunts ok?"

"I won't Mom." I screamed back, even though that's exactly what I was planning on.

I ran to the top of one of the highest buildings in Ninjago and tested my new glider. It was supposed to make a human fly, but after five attempts it wasn't working.

I climbed to the top of the building again for attempt number six.

"Ok, I can do this." I said warming up my invention. "Sixth time's a charm."

I leaped off the building and flew a few loop-de-loops in the air.

"I CAN FLLLLYYY!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

It was really fun... well, until I crashed into a bill board and landed on top of the building behind it. I was ok, but I couldn't say the same for my glider. At that point I'd had enough.

"Ok that's it, I've had it!" I said throwing the glider on the ground. "You piece of useless, broken, junk! It's impossible!"

"Is it?" I looked up to see an old man with a long white beard. He took a sip of his tea. "Or are we only confined by the walls we build ourselves?"

He held up his hand and showed me an origami bird. I smiled as it started flying. It made me have hope again.

"Who are you?" I asked.

"A dreamer, like you." He answered. "Attempting to build the impossible. Care to join?"

I gave him a smile and after that my life changed forever.

I woke up from the dream next to Kai and Cole. We were trapped in a cage being pulled by those guys who kidnapped us. I heard the sound of Lloyd's voice over the radio.

"The resistance never quits. The resistance never quits. The resistance never quits..." It kept repeating on a loop.

"Keep your radio muzzled, it's driving me crazy!" One of them shouted.

The driver turned off the radio. Then the passenger turned around and saw me. Kai and Cole were still asleep beside me.

"Hey wakey wakey ninja!" The bigger one said. "Welcome to the dead's end."

He drove us into some kind of camp filled with others that looked just like the two in the vehicle. They had painted white skin and were all equipped with some kind of armor.

I looked back and Kai and Cole were just waking up.

"Guys! I heard Lloyd!" I told them. "The resistance never quits! It never quits!"

"Looks like we lost Jay again." Kai groaned.

"No no no, I'm not crazy." I said. "I really heard him, on the radio."

"If that's true, then I hope Zane can find us and get us out of here." Cole sighed.

Kai looked behind us at the dragon chained up being dragged behind the vehicle.

"Yeah, get us all out of here." He frowned.

"Tonight, we feast!" The leader shouted, the whole camp cheered.

"Oh man I sure hope Wu's alright." Cole frowned.
