Hey guys! I know I haven't updated this story in almost a year, but I realized there is so much I could do with it. So after this chapter, although it will be the end of the MOTO era, but I'm thinking about time skipping to Crystalized because that would be the one that could take this story to the next level, I'm just not sure if it would be a part 2 or if I should time skip and just continue this story. Kai's P.O.V.:

We arrived at the monastery in the bounty. This entire plan rested on me and my ability to turn the armor back into the weapons of Spinjitsu, and I was nervous and not at all ready, but this was our only shot.

We all headed to the courtyard to face Master Wu and Misako. They noticed the sad look on our faces.

"Where is it?" Wu asked.

"It's Cole and Seleil." Nya started. "They're... they're..."

"They're gone." Jay frowned.

"They fell into the darkness." I told him.

Wu took a second to process. "And the realm crystal?"

"We destroyed it, but it didn't stop them." Lloyd frowned.

"What do we do now?" Misako asked Wu.

"Luckily, you have me." Garmadon appeared behind us carrying the golden armor.

"Garmadon?" Misako questioned.

"Misako, the old me would've said something heartfelt and sweet, but I am no long that man." Garmadon said.

"You let him out of prison?" Misako looked at Lloyd.

"He knows more about the Oni than anyone. It was the only way." Lloyd frowned.

"Wu, wipe that gloomy look off your face and do something with this." Garmadon tossed him the armor.

"The armor of the golden master?" Wu looked at it.

"If we can melt it down and reforge the weapons of Spinjitsu we might still have a chance." Nya explained.

"Prepare the forge." Wu said to Misako.

"I guess I better get to it ha?" I sighed.

"Kai you're the master of fire. You can do this." My sister said.

"Yeah, right. How hard can it be?" I gulped and grabbed the armor.

"While he's doing that, the rest of us need to prepare for battle. Those Oni will stop at nothing to take over." Lloyd said.

The rest of them to prepare for battle. I went to the forge and started the most important task of my life.

"Ok, Let's do this." I started.

I used the forge to melt the armor. Once I had the metal I shaped it into the weapons and cooled it off. Blacksmithing is not my strong suit, but my dad used to say it took patience to make it perfect. However patience was never my strong suit either, but this was the fate of the world at stake. I couldn't mess this up.

They didn't turn out perfectly, some bends and dents here and there, but I managed to do it!

"Guys, I did it!" I called for them.

They all came back to see what I did.

"The sword of fire!" I lifted my sword.

"The nunchucks of lightning." I handed them to Jay.

"Oh yeah!" Jay swum them around.

"The shurikens of ice." I gave them to Zane.

"Cool!" Zane said making them float above his hands.

"And the scythe..." I frowned. "The scythe of quakes." I turned around and handed it to Nya.

"That was Cole's." She frowned.

"I think he'd want you to have it." I said.

"Guys, they're coming!" We heard Echo yell from outside.

We looked outside and saw a swarm of Oni marching up the mountain. We knew this would be our final fight.

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

"If they get to the monastery all the realms will belong to the Oni and the fight will be over." I said. "This is the last stand we have."

"Lloyd are you sure you're up for this?" Kira asked.

"I have to be Kira." I said. "Now please go inside and get to safety."

"But what about you?" She asked.

"Don't worry about me, some of those people we rescued are inside and they still need your help." I said.

"Ok, just be careful." Kira kissed me. "And whatever happens, I love you."

"I love you too." I smiled.

Kira ran inside to go take care of the people. I looked at my team.

"Ok guys, time for the fight of our lives." Kai said.

"We better get fighting." Faith said as she came in limping.

"Faith?" Jay questioned.

"You should be resting Faith, you're not fully healed yet." Kai said.

"If the end is coming, I shall face it on my feet." She said.

"As will I." Wu said.

"I did not expect to fight alongside you again." Garmadon said.

"Nor I you." Wu replied. "It seems life has a few surprises left for both of us."

"I'm in this too." Echo yelled.

"Echo you should not be here." Zane said. "You should stay inside where it's safe."

"And let you fight this battle all on your own? Not a chance." Echo said.

"Fine but stay close to me. I do not want them to hurt you." Zane said.

Echo nodded and Zane and him were ready to fight.

"Not to alarm anybody, but the army of impenetrable Oni monsters is GETTING VERY CLOSE!" Jay yelled.

"Close the gates! Quickly!" Wu yelled.

It was then the battle begun. My friends and I were using the weapons to fight off the Oni. I looked over at Nya who was struggling to get the staff to work. I went over and spinjitsued the monsters attacking her.

"Use the scythe!" I yelled.

"I'm trying but I'm not the master of Earth, it's not responding!" She said.

We were there, surrounded on all sides with Oni. All hope seemed lost.

Cole's P.O.V.:

Seliel and I were rushing to the monastery, but with all the Oni and blockage in our way, it was proving challenging.

"Come on Seliel, my friends are in trouble I can feel it." I said.

"I'm driving as fast as I can." She said.

Finally we arrived at the mountain, but we were too late. We saw an army of Oni marching towards the monastery.

"Whoa." Seliel said looking up.

"My friends are seriously outnumbered." I said. "We have to help them."

"Ok, and how do you suggest we get up there? We can't just go through the mountain." Seliel laughed.

"Yes we can, there's a reason we call this the earth driller." I smiled.

"What are you...?"

I grabbed the controls, hit the button and proceeded to dig through the mountain. We were able to dig out a hole and take out a big hoard of Oni. I saw my friends and popped out the car.

"Hey guys. Couldn't wait for me ha?" I said.

"Cole?! Seliel?" Nya exclaimed.

"How... where...?" Lloyd said.

"We thought we lost you... you... Jerks!" Jay yelled.

"How did you survive that?" Zane asked.

"I have no idea, but I'm happy Seliel found me or I would be a goner for sure." I said.

"Great to have you back, but can we get some help here?" Kai asked.

"Wait, is that my old scythe?" I looked at what Nya was holding.

"Yes, and you can have it back!" She said.

I jumped and grabbed it and did an earthquake on the ground. It was good to be fighting with my friends. I had to use the scythe as a crutch because I still couldn't walk.

"Cole, are you ok?" Lloyd asked.

"Nothing I can't handle. Now let's get these guys!" I said.

"Right behind you!" Seliel said.

Seliel used the canons on the driller to beat some Oni and the others used their weapons and powers, but it still wasn't enough. We were still outnumbered.

Garmadon's P.O.V.:

I was taking down the Omega in a one on one. I shot at big blast at him but he absorbed it with his staff.

"You only delay the inevitable. We cannot be defeated." Omega said.

"This grows tiresome." I said. "I think it's time we evened things out a bit."

I tapped into my inner Oni and transformed into the Oni beast. I used the power to beat the rest of the Oni and it was working, but I was still outnumbered. He hit me and threw me back.

"You are Oni, but only in form." Omega said. "In your heart, I sense uncertainty and doubt."

He hit me back again and it packed a punch. Was what he was saying right?

"Part of you longs to understand these pitiful beings, to be one of them! Your hopes weaken you."

He hit me again and this time I hit my head and couldn't get back up. I passed out...

Narrator's P.O.V.:

"Father!" Lloyd screamed as he saw him get hit.

He ran to see if he was ok and checked his pulse. He was alive but he was hurt.

While he was looking over his father Omega found him and there him against the door. He hit his head and looked around dizzily at his teammates struggling and realized what he had to do.

"Fall back! Everyone fall back!" He yelled.

Everyone retreated inside the gates and Lloyd grabbed his father and dragged him inside. He grabbed a board to block the door but he couldn't pick it up.

"Cole, help me!" Lloyd yelled.

Cole grabbed the board and he and Jay helped him put it in front of the door to barricade it. Kira came out to see what was going on.

"Lloyd what's wrong?" Kira asked.

"It's my father, he took a rough hit. Can you help him?" He asked looking at Garmadon.

"I'll see what I can do." Kira nodded and started looking at him.

"Guys, this isn't gonna hold forever!" Cole yelled.

Jay's P.O.V.:

'Forever' the word echoed in my head.

I thought this was the End. This might be the day I was going to die. And the worst part was, I never got to ask Nya to be my yang. Then I got an idea. I took off my mask and turned to Nya.

"Nya, I have to ask you something important." I said.

"What now?" She asked taking off her mask.

"Yes now." I smiled. "Nya, you make me so happy every day when we're not together I feel like part of me is missing." I pulled out the medallion. "Will you be my yang?"

She took her half of the medallion and gasps.

"NOW you're asking?!" Cole said.

"We seriously need to talk about your sense of timing Jay." Kai said.

"There may not be another time." I said.

"Yes!" Nya exclaimed. "Of course!Yes yes yes!"

She hugged me and I was so happy.

"I taught him how to do that." Kai winked at Cole.

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

"Lloyd, he's waking up." Kira said.

I watched he opened his eyes. He looked right at me.

"Dad?" I knelt down.

"You must..." he coughed. "You must defeat the Oni before it is too late..."

"But how do I do that? We're so outnumbered and I... I..."

I noticed the mural on the wall. All of our adventures, I was gonna miss them so much. But then I looked at the one that came first. Before I was even on the team. It gave me an idea.

"Nya, Jay, it's been fun guys." Cole said.

"It has been an honor." Zane said.

"Let's go out with a bang." Jay said.

"Yeah, let's give 'em..."

"A tornado!" I screamed.

"Yeah, let's give them a Tornado!" Kai screamed. "Wait what?"

"What's the opposite of destruction? Creation!" I pointed to the mural. "Don't you get it? Creation! The tornado of creation! It's the one thing that can defeat the Oni. The power of creation! But all of us this time or it won't work."

"How do you know?" Jay asked.

"Yeah, it was a miracle it worked the first time." Kai said.

"Ok, so I'm guessing, but what do we have to lose?" I said.

"He's right, we have nothing to lose." Zane said.

"What the heck, I'm in." Cole said.

"I love crazy ideas, so let's do it." Kai agreed.

"Wait, isn't the tornado of creation like the hardest move in the book?" Kira asked.

"Yes, if done incorrectly it could have disastrous consequences." Wu said.

"Plus Lloyd and I have never done it before. What if I mess it up again and end up hurting someone?" Nya frowned.

"We're one now Nya, I'll be with you the whole time." Jay took her hands.

"Ok, if you're sure." Nya smiled. "We're ready Lloyd."

"It has to be everyone." I looked at my father and Kira.

"Me? I just learned Spinjitsu like a month ago. I don't know how to do this." Kira screamed.

"Kira, you saved my life and were part of the resistance to defeat my father. Without you I wouldn't be here. You should be a part of this." I said.

"Ok. I'll do it." She agreed.

"Dad?" I looked at him.

"I am not one of you." My dad said now standing up.

"No, but you're as much a part of the history of Ninjago as the rest of us." I said.

"I..."

My dad didn't get a chance to respond before the Oni broke down the door. Seliel and Echo ran inside.

"Here goes nothing!" Cole said.

"Ninja go!" We all shouted.

We did the tornado of creation as the Oni were coming in. It was able to defeat them...

Kira's P.O.V.:

I woke up and looked around. It had worked, the darkness was over!

"We're alive!" Jay ran to Nya and gave him a hug. "We're alive!"

Cole woke up and saw Kai trapped under a board.

"Kai!" He ran to him and helped him up.

"Is everyone ok?" I asked.

"I am intact." Zane said.

"Me too." Pixal said. "But where is Lloyd."

We all looked around and I noticed his green suit sticking out from underneath the door.

"Lloyd!" I screamed.

"Oh no." Zane frowned.

The ninja ran over and pulled him out. The rest of the people ran out of the monastery including his mother. I felt for his pulse, but I couldn't find it.

"Can you heal him?" Misako asked me.

"I'll try." I said.

I gave him CPR and mouth to mouth for several minutes, but each time I checked for a pulse there was nothing there. I kept trying for ten minutes but there was nothing I could do. He was just... gone.

"There's... there's nothing I can do." I frowned. "I'm so sorry, he's gone."

Misako started crying and I stayed there holding Lloyd's hand.

"I loved him. I loved him more than I've ever loved anyone. He made me a better person, made Ninjago a better place. It's our job to finish what he started." I said. "I'll never forget you Lloyd. Thank you, for everything."

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

I woke up in a strange place. It was kind of like an island in the sky. There were flowers and green grass everywhere. It was really beautiful. I looked to my left and saw a big golden dragon. I felt a strange connection to it and it even let me pet it.

"Hello Lloyd." I heard a voice in the distance. I looked but I couldn't tell who it was. "Do you like my dragon?"

"You!" I realized who it was and I kneeled before him out of respect. "You're the first spinjitzu master."

"No no, please no kneeling." He grabbed my hand. "You have done so much for Ninjago. If anyone should kneel it should be I."

"What is this place? What happened?" I asked.

"You faced destruction with dignity and courage, and you responded with creation and love. There is no greater response."

"But... why am I here?"

"I brought you here to say thank you for all that you've done."

"But... I don't understand."

"Life is balance. Endings are never truly endings, only new beginnings. And you have given us all a new beginning." He said. "The future is what we make of it, and you refused to let our future end in darkness."

There was a big gust of wind that blew flower petals all around me.

"Well done Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon. Well done."

The first Spinjitsu master took off his hat and bowed to me. I respected the first Spinjitsu master all my life, but I never imagined that he would be bowing to me. I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Thanks, but... well I really don't understand any of this." I said.

"You will soon." He said. "If you choose to come with me."

"Come with you where?"

"That is a secret, but you will be happy there." He answered. "Or you could return to your friends and take up your duties as the green ninja again."

"And if I go home, will I remember this?" I asked.

"You will think it was a dream. In time, you will forget all about it."

I thought about it. A part of me wanted to go with him. To a place where I could leave my troubles behind. I wouldn't have to worry about being the green ninja anymore, no more villains, no evil ex girlfriends, no abusive fathers, a life that I could chose!

That sounded amazing, but then I thought about everything I would be giving up. My mother, my friends, Kira, thinking of a life without them just sounded miserable.

I almost grabbed his hand, but then I changed my mind.

I woke up coughing and Kira was sobbing next to me. I opened my eyes and looked at her.

"Kira?" I questioned.

"Ahh!" She jumped up and screamed.

"What? What happened."

"You died, or at least I thought you did." She said, but then she suddenly looked happier. "Lloyd!"

She took me in her arms and hugged me so tight. I had no idea what was happening, but I accepted it and hugged her back.

"Guys! Lloyd's awake!" Kira yelled.

They all came out of the monastery and wrapped me in hugs. I had no idea what happened, but my friends seemed happy.

"Did we... do it?" I asked.

"Yep, it worked. The Oni are gone." Kira smiled.

"That was so weird. I saw the first spinjitsu master." I said.

"You must've hit your head pretty hard." Cole said.

"Yeah let's get you inside." Kira helped me up.

"Wait, where did my father go?" I looked around.

"He said he needed to go his own way and work some stuff out." Wu said.

"Wait you let him go? He was supposed to go back to prison." I said.

"Lloyd let's not worry about that right now." Kira said.

"Ok." I sighed.

"Let us celebrate!" Wu said.

After a few days of resting, we threw a big party with all our friends to commemorate the new mural and that we saved the world. It was really fun.

When the ceremony was over, I went to talk with Kira. She said she had something to talk about.

"Hey." I walked up to her. "What did you want to talk to me about?"

"Well now that you got all your ninja stuff out of the way, you still owe me a real date." She said.

"Oh yeah, what did you have in mind?" I asked.

"I have an idea. Come on." She said.

She grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the car. I got in and she drove me to the park. We walked up to a grassy field by the lake where she had a picnic set up.

"I know it's not fancy or anything, but I hope you like it." Kira said.

"I love it. It's perfect." I smiled and kissed her cheek. "Thank you."

"Of course." She smiled.

We sat down and enjoyed the quality time with just the two of us. It was a perfect first date we finally got to have. At least everything was back to normal now.

Well, almost...

Zane's P.O.V.:

After the ceremony I went to see Echo.

"So are you going back to the realm of Oni and Dragon?" I asked.

"Actually I talked to Faith and she said that she can get the former dragon hunters to help repair everything now that the Oni are gone." Echo said.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. I can stay here and learn from you. I want to help you brother."

"Really?"

He nodded and I gave him a hug. I was so happy he was back in my life. It felt great to finally have a family.
