Rivalries
There will be an OC of mine in this story. If you guys read any of my Ninjago Generations series, you already know who it is. 😉
I'm so sorry I forgot about this story. I had so many other things to work on and it just kept getting pushed back. Once again, very sorry. Enjoy! 😉

Lloyd's P.O.V.:
Harumi and I were trekking to the Oni temple through Prime Evil's Eye. I had hurt my arm when we first landed in the forest. Using the map as a parachute was not my best idea.
Harumi found me and noticed I was hurt. She put the map around my arm to make a sling and helped me up. It was really sore but the pain was bearable.
"Thanks." I smiled. Then I looked around at forest. "We're on our own."
"Well we better get moving." Rumi said. "Let's get to that temple."
"Hang on a second, I want to leave a note on the mech for the others." I insisted.
"Ugh fine." She agreed.
Rumi took a marker out of her pocket and pulled a leaf off a tree. She quickly jotted something down and put it on the mech.
"There, now they'll know where we went." She said and I nodded. "Are you going to be able to keep up?"
"Yeah I'll be alright." I told her.
We kept walking deeper into the forest when we heard something following us.
We were running from some kind of monster and we hid in a ditch until it wondered off. We got out and my arm was hurting me again. I tried to use my sword as a crutch, but it hurt.
"You ok?" Harumi asked me.
"Yeah, just need a second." I struggled.
"Let me see." She came over and tightened up the makeshift sling around my arm closer to me. It felt better. "How's that?"
"Good. Very close... I mean snuggly... I mean snug." I stuttered.
"Are you sure we're headed the right way?" She asked.
"Pretty sure." I said looking at the map around my arm. "If this map is right, there should be a river that runs through Prime Evil's Eye that way." I pointed north. And the river is supposed to lead straight to the Oni temple that holds the third mask."
"I don't know Lloyd, maybe it would be easier to turn back and try to find the others." Harumi said. "I mean your arm is still pretty bad and we're all alone out here."
"I'm doing ok." I looked down at my injured arm. "And anyway, we can't take the chance, if the Sons of Garmadon get to the mask first, they'll have all three."
"Ok, but I want you to rest that arm for a while and let me take a turn." She smiled and took my sword.
She swiped away the brush with it and we kept going until we reached the river where we found an old motor boat. We fired it up and sailed it down the river, over the waterfall and finally made it to the temple. My arm was feeling better now so I didn't need the sling anymore.
We had to steer clear of all the booby traps and make it to the temple. Once we did, Harumi tried to grab the mask, but the purple aura around it prevented her from doing so.
"Only someone with Oni blood can take the mask." She gestured toward me.
I put up my hands and grabbed the mask with ease. As soon after I took it I realized something. I never told Harumi that I was part Oni. Was that the only reason she brought me here?
"Can I see it?" She tried to take the mask from me, but I moved it away from her. "I just wanna see it."
"How did you know?" I asked, keeping the mask away from her.
"It's an Oni temple, it's safe to assume only an Oni could take it."
"No, how did you know I was part Oni?" I classified.
"You're related to the first Spinjitsu master, he was an Oni." She tried to grab the mask again, but I now realized that I couldn't let her have it.
"But I never told you that. Jay and I were alone when Mistaké told us the story." I realized. "You were never there."
"Then I must've heard it from Jay."
I didn't buy that. Not for a second. Jay can be a blabber mouth sometimes, but he'd never tell her something like that. Not for all the video games and comic books in the world.
"I don't want to believe it." I frowned and yanked the mask out of her hands again. "You're the quiet one?"
"How could you say that?!" She gasped.
"It all makes sense now." I said recalling our earlier conversation on the boat. "The greatest villain is the one you never knew was there in the first place. You said that."
"Oh yes, I'm the criminal mastermind. How could I have done this?" She said sarcastically, but I believed her that time. She put her hands on my shoulders and looked me in the eyes. "I... I love you."
She leaned in for a kiss, but I knew she was just reaching for the mask.
"Stay back!" I demanded. Pushing her back and backing away from her.
"Lloyd..."
"You only wanted me to get the mask you couldn't find."
"I didn't need you." I saw her turn angry. "It would've already been mine had your idiot friends hadn't stolen Wu from us."
"The baby is Master Wu?" My eyes widened. How was that possible?
"Oh that's right, you didn't know." She smirked and slowly walked closer to me. "I knew to keep you close, not everything goes to plan. Give me the mask."
"No. I can't let you bring my father back, not like that." I backed away.
"Well if you won't give it to me..." She kicked me back, knocking the mask out of my hands and I landed on the ground. "THEN I WILL TAKE IT!"
I got up and saw Harumi jumping for the mask. I used my powers to knock it out of the way then I tackled her to the ground. We took turns pinning each other down.
She was saying all this nonsense about how the great devourer killed her parents and how she held me responsible for their deaths. She called my father a hero for stopping it. It wasn't my fault, it was Pythor's. She had it all wrong.
I managed to get free. I charged up my powers and aimed for the mask.
"Give me one good reason not to say goodbye to it right now!" I grunted.
"I'll give you two." She came up behind me. "You want to see your father again. And you love me."
I started to lower my guard a little. I did want to see him again, but not like that. My father was a good man, it was the great devourer that made him that way.
"Ahh, your emotions." She put her hand on my shoulder. "It's hard to think, isn't it? I felt those feelings too, we truly are kindred spirits."
She screamed and I felt a knife stab me in the leg, it hurt so bad I couldn't get up. She took the mask and got away, but not before flooding the place with water.
I kept swimming the best I could, but my leg was bleeding badly and the salt water definitely wasn't helping. I finally was able to make it to the current and I rode it up and it shot me out of the waterfall.
Kai's P.O.V.:
"Come on Jay, we have to hurry." I yelled as we were running towards the temple.
"It's probably too late Kai." Jay frowned as we kept running. "Lloyd's probably either figured it out by now or he's..."
"Don't say it, I'm not giving up on him."
"How are we supposed to find him in the mess of a jungle?" Jay complained. "It's not like Lloyd is just gonna fall out of the sky."
All of a sudden I saw Lloyd shoot up out of some kind of waterfall and fly across the jungle. We followed him to where he landed and he was waking up.
"Guys, Rumi is the quiet one!" He told us before he had a huge coughing fit.
"Yeah we figured that out." Jay said.
"Are you alright?" I asked Lloyd checking him for injuries. I noticed his leg was bleeding bad.
"Other then a broken heart and the fact that I almost drowned I couldn't be better." He said sarcastically.
"What is she so mad about anyway?" Jay asked.
"I'll explain later." Lloyd said. "Right now we have to get back to the bounty and warn everyone that they're coming."
"Who's coming?" I asked.
"T-the SOG." Lloyd stuttered before he coughed again.
"Take it easy Lloyd. You've been through a lot." I told him. "Jay, see if the coms are back online."
"On it." Jay agreed and tried his com-link, but then he frowned. "No good. We must be too far out of range."
"Then we better get to them before they do." I stated. "Lloyd do you think you can keep up?"
"Yeah I'm good." He said. "Just a little shaken up."
I could tell that Lloyd was lying, but he hid his feelings and his pain well. I couldn't tell how much Harumi hurt him, but I knew one thing, she was gonna pay for treating my best friend like that.
"Sorry buddy, but we don't have time for a therapy session." I said. "Let's get you back to the bounty."
"Alright." He sighed. "How is Zane holding up?"
"He could be better." Jay frowned.
"Wait, what happened to your leg?" Jay said pointing to Lloyd's bloody leg.
"Hm?" Lloyd looked down at "Oh, Hurumi got me with her dagger during our fight."
"Does it hurt?" Jay asked.
"It's fine, it looks worse than it is." Lloyd said.
"Are you going to be able to keep up?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine." Lloyd said.
"Come on." I demanded.
We all started running through the jungle. I looked back and saw Lloyd struggling to keep up. He leaned against a tree and caught his breath. Jay and I stopped and ran back to help him.
He seemed really weak and he was covered in cuts and bruises all over him that I hadn't noticed before. It looked like the cut on his leg was bothering him so much he couldn't walk.
"Lloyd are you sure you're ok?" I asked, even though I could tell he wasn't.
"I'll be fine. Just go, I'll catch up later." Lloyd huffed.
"No way. A ninja never leaves another ninja behind." I stated.
The cut on his leg was bleeding really bad. Jay handed me a rag he had in his backpack and I wrapped it around Lloyd's leg. It wasn't pretty, but I didn't know what else to do.
"Ahh!" Lloyd flinched in pain as I finished wrapping his leg.
"Sorry." I apologized. "Do you think you can walk now?"
"I don't know."
Lloyd tried to get off the tree, but when he put the slightest bit of pressure on his leg, it was enough to make him wince in pain. This wasn't working, we had to try something else.
"Lloyd stop it, you're hurt." I told him.
"Just go, I'll be fine." He coughed. "I'll just slow you down."
"We can't leave you out here alone." I said.
"Kai, I don't think we have a choice." Jay frowned. "With Zane hurt, the others will be outnumbered. They need all the help they can get."
"Ok." I sighed and turned to Lloyd. "I promise we'll be back, don't go anywhere."
"Couldn't if I wanted to." He joked.
I didn't want to leave Lloyd like that, but we didn't have much of a choice. I just hoped he would be ok.
Lloyd's P.O.V.:
I set up against the tree just thinking things over.
'How could I have been so blind? Now my friends are in trouble and it's all my fault. I deserve to just sit here and rot away.'
I was just sitting there and I heard someone rustling in the bushes.
"Kai? Jay?" I shouted.
I saw a girl's face peak up through the bushes. She had long brown hair and blue eyes.
"Who are you?" I asked.
"My name is Kira." She said. "I'm here to help."
"You shouldn't be out here." I told her. "The sons of Garmadon are still on the rise. You need to get somewhere safe."
"But you look hurt." She pointed to my leg. "Let me help."
She knelt down and looked at the cut on my leg. Then she unwrapped the cloth around it to get a better a look. She put her hand near it and closed her eyes. Her hand glowed a white-blueish color and the next thing I knew I was healed.
"How does it feel now?" Kira asked out of breath.
"H... How did you do that?" I asked, still in a bit of shock.
"I'm the elemental master of healing." She explained. "It's only be a temporary fix because I haven't unlocked my true potential yet, but I hope I was able to help."
"Thank you." I said. "It's feeling much better."
"You're still bleeding a little bit." She took the green bandana out of her hair. "Here this should help."
She wrapped her bandana around my leg and it felt better. Then she helped me up and I was able to stand on it again. It still hurt a little, but it felt pretty good.
"Easy." She warned.
"I'm alright now, thank you." I assured her. "Now you need to get somewhere safe, and I need to get back to my friends."
"Hang on, you shouldn't be walking around by yourself." She said. "Maybe I can help you."
"No offense, but the last time I let someone help me they used me as a pawn to resurrect my father from the dead, and now thanks to me they'll succeed." I frowned. "It's all my fault, if I hadn't grabbed that stupid mask none of this would've happened."
"You said your friends were in this forest?" She asked.
"Yeah, our ship crashed a few miles that way." I pointed in that direction. "The SOG are gonna ambush them any minute, it's the only chance we have to get the masks back."
"You're in no condition to make that trek on your own." Kira looked at my leg. "What if I walked you back?"
"That's kind of you to offer, but I think I'll be ok." I said.
I started running in the direction of the bounty, but my leg hurt so much that I had to stop.
"What was that you said before? You needed to keep me safe?" She said.
"Yeah..."
"Well I'm certainly not safe all alone out here."
"Fine, I guess I don't have a choice." I sighed.
She gave me a shoulder to lean on and she started to help me walk all the back to the bounty.
"The name is Lloyd by the way." I smiled awkwardly, realizing I hadn't told her my name name yet.
"Nice to meet you." Kira smiled.
Nya's P.O.V.:
The guys weren't back yet and even with Pixal and Cole's help, we still weren't making much progress. We all knew Zane wanted to help as well, but he hadn't been the same since his accident a few days ago.
It had gotten to the point where he couldn't even remember our names sometimes, except for Pixal's of course but I think that was because she had half her heart. When he couldn't remember, he would call us by our colors or by our elements because it was easier for him. And he had been getting these migraines almost every hour. I felt so bad for him.
"That's strange." Pixal said looking at the screen.
"What is?" I asked.
"I'm picking up multiple targets closing in on the ship." She said.
"Oh the guys must be back." I said.
"Negative, I'm afraid this is a whole army."
"Oh no, they found us!" I panicked.
"We must get this ship in the air now before Mr. E finds Zane!" Pixal exclaimed.
Pixal reached for the control panel, but was stopped when a weapon was thrusted at her wrist.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." We heard the person say.
We looked up to see Ultra Violet, and next thing we knew we were surrounded with the SOG all sides. I screamed and Cole ran out to help us, but Zane wasn't with him.
"Where is Zane?" Pixal asked Cole as she kicked one of them down.
"I told him he should sit this one out and take Wu somewhere safe." He said as he punched a biker in the face.
"Good idea." I said. "I just hope the guys get back soon."
Then I turned to my left and saw Kai and Jay approaching the bounty. Lloyd wasn't with them and that worried me.
"Mind if we drop in?" Jay asked with a cocky smile as he and Kai jumped onto the ship. Lloyd wasn't with them.
"Don't mind if you do." I said.
"Did you not find Lloyd?" Pixal asked Kai as she held off more bikers.
"Long story short, he's safe." Kai said throwing a biker off the ship
Jay and Kai joined in the fighting and helped us get the upper hand. As we were fighting, I noticed that Mr. E was nowhere to be found. I thought it was strange that he wasn't there. I figured he'd be the one who was the most on edge.
Zane's P.O.V.:
They insisted that I don't fight to preserve my strength, but I wanted to help. I looked at little master Wu. I had one thing on my mind, fixing my brother.
Out of nowhere Mr. E bursted through the door. I stood up and I tried to fight back by avoiding his blows, but due to my recent accident I was slower and I could hardly keep up.
"Well brother, it seems I am still superior to you." Mr. E snarked.
"As long as I am good, I will always be superior to you!" I yelled.
I shot one of my arrows at him, but he caught it in his hand. Little Wu started running towards him and I held him back.
"Stay here little Wu." I said putting him down.
He pouted and stayed put. But while I was distracted Mr. E caught me off guard and pushed me to the ground. Next thing I knew I had passed out.
I woke up and I was tied up on the deck with the others around me.
"W-What happened?" I asked the others.
"We couldn't stop them." Kai frowned.
"I am sorry Zane." Pixal frowned. "I shouldn't have left you alone."
"It is not your fault Pixal." I smiled. "You did not know he was here."
"You alright buddy?" Cole asked me. "You were passed out when they tied you up."
"Yes, I am ok." I said. "Where is Lloyd?"
"That's what I'd like to know." UV said.
"For the last time, we don't know where he is." Kai said. "Let us go!"
"Why do I feel like you're lying." Ultra Violet pressed her weapon up against Kai's neck.
"Hey! Stay away from my brother!" Nya yelled.
UV backed off Kai and he coughed from the touch of her weapon. She then went back to ordering her team around.
"Thanks sis." Kai whispered to Nya.
"Wherever Lloyd is, he better get here fast." Nya said.
"I just hope he's alright." Jay frowned.
Lloyd's P.O.V.:
Kira and I arrived at the bounty and I saw my friends tied up on the deck.
"Oh no." I screamed.
I dashed off towards the bounty and got stopped by the pain in my leg.
"Lloyd, I told you not to run on that." Kira said helping me stand.
"It's fine, I just need to help my friends." I told her. "Thank you for your help, but I can take it from here."
"But Lloyd I..."
Before she said another word I was dashing towards the bounty again, ignoring the almost unbearable pain in my leg. I finally got there and climbed on board, sword in hand ready to set my friends free.
"Lloyd!" They all yelled at once.
"Let them go!" I yelled.
"Ok, but you have to give us something first."
I heard a familiar, haunting voice coming from behind me. I turned to see Harumi, but she had Kira tied up in front of her on her knees.
"Lloyd!" Kira screamed.
"Let her go! Now!" I screamed and raised my sword.
"I'll tell you what." She bargained. "Come with me, and I let them all go, but don't and there will be some..." She pulled out her dagger and held it under Kira's neck. "Dire consequences."
"Who's that?" Jay asked Kai.
"Does it matter?" Kai answered. "She's still a person."
"Lloyd don't do it!" Kira screamed. "I'm only one person, what she's going to do will be ten times worse. Don't put the whole world at risk just for me."
I could here my team yelling similar things, but they're my friends. I've already lost everything else, I'm not going to lose this too.
I dropped my sword and knelt down in front of Harumi. I didn't have any other choice.
"What is he doing?" Kai exclaimed.
"Ok, I surrender." I said. "I'll do whatever you want just let them all go."
"Smart decision." She smirked.
Harumi let Kira go and she dropped to the floor. She took a few seconds to catch her breath.
Surprisingly Harumi let all my friends off the ship and took me away in the bounty. I know that Harumi was going to resurrect my father, but I had to save my friends. I couldn't stand the thought of my life without them.
