First off, I'm sorry but for the sake of the story, I took the Dareth powers subplot out. As much as I love Dareth as a character, it just didn't make sense to keep it in with everything else going on. Anyway, enjoy.

Kira's P.O.V.:

We were all enjoying a little moment of victory over the SOG. Now that we got the message out to the rest of Ninjago, we finally felt like we had the upper hand.

"The resistance never quits!" Lloyd raised his glass of tea.

"The resistance never quits!" We all joined in the toast.

"Wow, it must've been awesome to be there." Dareth said. "I wish I could've..."

"It was great!" Nya interrupted. "We couldn't have planned it better."

"The whole city heard the broadcast." Skylor smiled.

"I'll toast to that." Paleman exclaimed.

"Hats off to Lloyd." Skylor continued. "Without his words and his leadership, let's just say hope is a powerful thing."

"My boy." Misako smiled at Lloyd.

"Bringing hope to Ninjago once again." I kissed him on the cheek and he smiled.

"See, I knew they were dating." I heard Seliel whisper to Nya.

"Yep, loyalty is pretty powerful." Dareth said passing around more biscuits. "Let's not forget the little people."

"This is just a start." Lloyd said getting back to business. "I couldn't have done it without your power and your help. We have to show them that we're more than words, that we fight. And I'm not gonna lie to you, we need an army. Has anyone heard from the master of form?"

"I think she is... how you say... bad girl now." Karlof said.

"What about Balobo?" Nya asked.

"Ultra Violet hunted down the master of nature early on." Skylor said. "Along with the masters of smoke, sound and gravity."

"Maybe it's time the brown ninja..."

"What about the serpentine?" Lloyd asked, ignoring Dareth.

"After the hands of time abused those snakes, they said they wanna sit this one out." Griffin said.

"Ok, let's start brainstorming a list of who else can help." He said.

"I can help!" Dareth offered.

"That would be great." Lloyd said to him. "Can you get us a blackboard and some refills? This could take a while."

Dareth went back upstairs and we continued to strategize, but the only thing that we could come up with was that we needed to keep thinking so really we never thought of anyone to help us. I felt like I was no help because I had been all alone most of my life up until I met Lloyd and his friends.

"Kira, you seem quiet." Lloyd noticed. "Is everything ok?"

"Oh yeah, I'm fine." I assured him. "It's just that I grew up alone in a forest all my life so I don't really know of anyone who can help."

"I think Kira and I would be more help if we work on finishing the battle wagon." Seliel said out of the blue.

"Oh alright, sure." I agreed.

"Alright then, we'll keep thinking." Lloyd said.

"Ok." I said.

I went over to the battle wagon and started to work on it with Seliel. I wasn't the best at building, but not the worst either.

"So, you and Lloyd are a thing?" Seliel asked me.

"Well Lloyd says he wants to wait until this all blows over to make it official." I told her. "He doesn't want the Sons of Garmadon to know about us so they won't be looking for me."

"Why? Can't you fight?" She asked.

"Well Nya taught me a bit of the basics, but healing isn't exactly the best power to have when it comes to combat."

"At least you have an elemental power." She sighed.

"Wait, I thought the others said you were the phantom ninja?"

"And I still am, but that doesn't mean I have powers." She explained. "I had to build my armor from scrap metal and keep it a secret from my father for years until he finally allowed me to fight with the other soldiers. He didn't want to put his only daughter in harms way."

"That sounds rough."

"Don't feel too bad for me, once I met those ninja my life changed forever." She smiled. "If it wasn't for them my village would've been taken over by evil nindroids. Not to mention I never would've met Cole."

"You and Cole? Really?" I asked trying not to laugh.

"It's sort of a long distance thing, but we write each other a lot. I was wondering why he hadn't wrote me lately and now I see why." She sighed.

"Don't worry. There's no doubt in my mind that they'll find their way back."

"I hope you're right."

Narrator's P.O.V.:

All of a sudden Dareth started screaming. "IT'S AN AMBUSH!"

"Protect the base!" Lloyd screamed.

The whole depot was invaded by SOG on all sides and they were coming from everywhere. They had Lloyd surrounded in seconds. Skylor used the elements of speed and invisibility to get the SOG off him.

"Take the son alive!" Harumi demanded to her troops. She had on her Oni mask. "Do what you want with his little girlfriend."

Kira did her best to fight off the goons, but her fighting wasn't good enough. They were holding her down by her hands and pushing her to the ground on her knees. Lloyd noticed that she was in trouble and turned all his attention to her.

"Kira!" Lloyd screamed.

"Hello Lloyd, I've missed you." Harumi said as she pushed Lloyd down flat on his back.

"Well you'll miss me again." Lloyd used his sword to block Harumi's

"Oh, but if you're fighting me, who's going to save your girlfriend?" Harumi pointed to Kira, who was being apprehended by the goons.

"Kira!" He shouted.

Lloyd struggled to get free and Skylor tackled Harumi to get her off of Lloyd. She tried to take the mask off her face, but Rumi kicked her back.

Lloyd ran across the room and ran over to help Kira. He tried to get the goons off her back and succeeded. He was checking on her to make sure she was ok, and then Harumi kicked him across the room into the wall where he fell unconscious for a few seconds.

"Lloyd!" Kira screamed.

Nya drove her little clunky vehicle, the battle wagon, into the depot and knocked down quite a few goons. She opened the door and noticed Lloyd unconscious.

"Skylor we need get Lloyd out of here." She yelled.

"On it!" Skylor yelled.

She used her powers to make her way over to Lloyd and woke him up. He had injured his ankle and was holding his head.

"You ok?" Skylor asked him.

"Don't worry about me, help them!" Lloyd said, mainly referring to his mother and Kira who were being swarmed by the goons again.

"No son, you are what's important." Misako said.

Karlof came over and threw the goons off Misako. "We will hold off, get green ninja to safe place."

Lloyd tried to get up by himself, but his ankle was hurting. Unfortunately Harumi saw this and took the advantage. She tried to knock Skylor down, but she used the power of medal to protect herself and then Nya's water power to spray her back.

Skylor knew Lloyd couldn't walk, so she picked him up and used the power of speed to jump into the battle wagon with Nya.

"Run away Lloyd!" Harumi shouted. "Your father will find you."

"Wait for me!" Dareth ran into the battle wagon.

"Please we have to save Kira and my mother." Lloyd begged Nya as she started to shut the door.

"They aren't my concern, you are." Nya said driving the battle wagon away from the depot.

Back at the depot, the fight was all but over. Kira was about to be taken away by the SOG, but Seliel saw this and did something about it.

"Kira duck!" Seliel commanded.

Kira did what she asked and ducked out of the way. Seliel jumped in front of her and threw a smoke bomb in the floor. That created enough of a distraction for them to sneak out the back of the depot and hide behind the dumpsters until they finally left.

Kira's P.O.V.:

Once we made extra super sure the cost was clear, I started to head back towards the depot, but Seliel stopped me.

"Wait." She whispered grabbing my wrist. "We can't go back, that's exactly what they want us to do."

"Then what do we do?" I asked.

"We need to lay low, Harumi knows about your relationship with Lloyd and that puts a target on your back." She explained. "The best thing to do is to keep you hidden until we find the others."

"But I saw Lloyd, he looked hurt." I frowned. "I'm worried about him."

"I know how it feels, but we don't have time to count our losses. Right now we need to protect you and your power." She said. "We'll lay low for a while and then we'll try to find Lloyd."

"Ok." I took a deep breath.

I really didn't want to wait, but Seliel was right, we didn't have a choice. I had to be protected as usual.

After a few hours of waiting Seliel started screaming and hid behind me. I thought that was weird because I didn't think Seliel was afraid of anything.

"What? What is it?" I asked.

She pointed to the ground and I saw a rat standing there.

"It's just a rat." I said calmly approaching it. "Come here little guy."

"Are you crazy?" Seliel yelled pulling me back. "That's a furry eyed, disease infected rodent!"

"And here I thought you weren't afraid of anything?" I crossed my arms.

"I'm not afraid, just being cautious." She defended.

"If you two want to find your friends, you better come with me." The rat said.

Seliel and I looked at each other, wondering if we were hearing things.

"Was that rat... talking?" I whispered to Seliel.

"Yes I believe it is." Seliel whispered back.

"There is no time to explain, Lloyd's in trouble, and he needs your help young healer." The rat said looking at me.

"Are we really going to trust a talking rat?" Seliel asked.

"What other choice do we have?" I shrugged. "If Lloyd's hurt we have to help him."

"Fine but if this is a trap I'm blaming you." She said.

Seliel and I followed the rat through the streets, trying our best to travel by shadow. I just hope that this would lead us to Lloyd and that he was alright.

Lloyd's P.O.V.:

We had a run in with my father's Oni Titan. Pixal had to save us, but it ended up with her being captured too. He could've crushed us in an instant, but for some reason he hesitated. I thought it was weird, but that gave us time for a little break.

My ankle was hurting so bad I couldn't stand on my own. Nya had drove us to a small alleyway out of my father's sightline, making it perfect to stay hidden from the SOG, but the only thing that I wanted was Kira back. I gave everything to save her once, and for her I'd do it again. I know it's only been a few hours, but I was already missing her.

Nya had packed some emergency clothes in the battle wagon so we could keep our cover, so we were all in cheap brown robes now. I had to burn my suit and Nya had to get rid of the battle wagon.

Skylor had absorbed Kira's power before everyone got captured, so she was trying to use it to heal my ankle. It felt a little better but from what Kira told me it takes a lot more time and practice to master healing powers compared to other elements. Skylor did her best, but she couldn't use it nearly as well or for as long as Kira could. Skylor was already on her knees and out of breath and Nya and Dareth helped her up.

"Are you ok?" Nya asked her.

Skylor nodded. "I'm sorry Lloyd, using these powers aren't as easy as I thought."

"It's alright Skylor, you tried your best. It feels a little better." I said trying to move my ankle, but failing. "Ow!"

"Careful Lloyd don't move it." Nya said. "It may be broken."

Nya got some bandages and began to wrap up my ankle.

"You know, it would've already been healed by now if we had gone back for Kira." I frowned.

"You know that if we would have they would've captured you too." Nya said continuing to wrap up my ankle. "We couldn't take that risk. You're the only chance the city has left."

"This place seems pretty sketchy." Dareth looked around at our surroundings. "Are you sure we're safe here."

"For the time being." Nya answered.

"What about our friends, my mother, Kira?" I frowned.

"Word on the street is they were taken to Kryptarian Prison." Skylor said.

"Garmadon's forces have that place pretty bottled up." Dareth said.

"They'll be alright, but will you?" Nya asked me.

"I don't know." I sighed. "I already lost my powers, now my friends, my mother, the love of my life. I couldn't protect them. And I can't even stand up."

"We have to endure." Nya said.

"Endure what?!" I yelled. "Don't you see? We have nothing left! We can't do anything! Face it, we lost!"

"Don't say that." Skylor said as she handed us a bag full of dumplings. "Maybe some food will take your mind off things."

"You didn't steal that did you? We don't have any money." Nya said.

"You're forgetting she owns a noodle empire." Dareth said.

"And there are still a few kind souls who are looking out for us." Skylor said pointing to a small food stand.

"I'm too sad to eat." I sighed.

"Come on Lloyd, you need your strength." Nya insisted.

"No, I need Kira." I frowned. "I promised I would protect her, and I couldn't. She probably never wants to see me again."

"Why would you think that?" Nya asked.

"Because we let them take her." I sighed.

"No one could've seen that coming." Skylor said. "There was nothing you could do."

"I just can't stop thinking about her locked up all alone in Kryptarian. The things my father and Harumi are going to do to her, I can't bare to think of it." I frowned. Then Nya finished wrapping up my ankle and it hurt as she tightened the bandages. "Ow!"

"Sorry." Nya apologized. "How does it feel now?"

"Better, thanks." I said.

"Do you think you can stand on it?" She asked.

"I don't know."

Nya helped me off the bench. I tried to put my foot on the ground, but it still hurt to stand. I tried to act like it didn't, but Nya saw right through me.

"Lloyd stop, you're in pain." She set me back down.

"Ok that settles it, I guess I can't fight my father." I shrugged.

"What do you mean?" Dareth asked.

"I mean I can't continue." I shrugged. "They win."

"Ninja never..."

"Nya stop, that's not gonna work this time." I interrupted her. "There's nothing I can do, I can't fight like this and I don't have my powers to summon a golden dragon to defeat him this time. We've gotta face facts, it's over."

"The Lloyd I know would never say that." Nya frowned. "The Lloyd I know would think of a plan and then put it into action regardless of what held him back. The Lloyd I know would never accept defeat, no matter what his enemies throw at him. And the Lloyd I know would never let the people of Ninjago down. Now you have a choice, hide on the streets like a coward, or fight with your team like a ninja. So what is it gonna be?"

As much as I hated to admit it, Nya was right. Giving up now would mean I let all of Ninjago down, I'd let my friends down, my mother, and most importantly I'd let Kira down. As much as I didn't want to, I had to keep going. For Kira.

I looked at Nya and gave her a confident nod and a smile. She knew what I meant.

"Fight like a ninja it is." Nya smiled.

"Alright, first things first." Skylor said. "We need to get you back on your feet."

"How?" I frowned. "I can't even move my ankle much less walk on it and Kira's power is too much for you."

"I can try again." Skylor said.

"No Skylor, you've done enough." I insisted. "We can't risk losing anyone else."

"Then what do we do?" Nya asked.

"We come up with a plan." I said. "In the meantime, let's just rest for now."

"Good idea." Dareth agreed. "I'm starving."

We all took a break and started to eat. I tried to stop thinking about Kira but as hard as I tried I couldn't get her off my mind. She was the best thing that ever happened to me and I let them take her.

"Don't worry, we'll get them back." Nya assured me.

"Lloyd?" Someone called my name in the distance.

I looked back to see Kira and Seliel standing there. Seeing Kira instantly made me feel happy again, but I was still recovering from hitting my head. I had to make sure I wasn't seeing things.

"Nya?" I got her attention. "Is my concussion getting worse or is Kira standing right there?"

"Lloyd, it's me." Kira smiled and came up to me.

She gave me a hug and a smile appeared on my face. I knew she was the real thing.

"I can't believe it. It's really you." I hugged her. "I thought I lost you."

"Seliel? How did you escape?" Nya asked.

"It was easy with my phantom ninja armor." She answered. "Plus Kira saved my life, it was only fair I returned the favor."

"But how did you find us?" Skylor asked.

"You wouldn't believe us if we told you." Kira said.

"I'm just so glad you're safe." I hugged her again.

"RAT!" Dareth screamed at a rat as it approached us.

"Wait Dareth, the rat was the only reason we found you guys." Kira stopped him.

"It is true." The rat said.

"Ok this might be my concussion talking, but did that rat just talk?" I asked.

"It freaked me out too." Seliel admitted.

"That's an understatement." Kira whispered to me and I chuckled.

"Sorry, sometimes I forget how unnerving this can be." The rat laughed. "How about this?"

Before our own eyes, the rat turned into a person. Not just any person, but someone we knew well.

"Mistaké?" Skylor questioned.

"How did you do that?" I asked.

"Have you met Mistaké? I'm convinced that women can do anything." Dareth said.

"It's time I told you all who I really am." Mistaké said. "Well maybe after I eat, I'm famished."

"I'll see if I can get us some more food." Skylor said.

"Oh and maybe get some ice for Lloyd's ankle if you can." Kira said and Skylor nodded. Then she turned to me. "Here Lloyd, let me take a look at that."

"Ok, but don't overdo it. I don't want you to ware yourself out." I said.

"I'll be careful." Kira nodded and knelt down to look at my ankle.

She started feeling it to see where it hurt. The moment she touched it I flinched in pain. She started using her powers to heal my ankle. After a few minutes it still hurt but it felt a lot better. Kira had to stop to catch her breath and then tried to go back to healing me, but I didn't want her to. She looked so exhausted already.

"You can stop if you need a break." I told her.

"No need I'm fine, I just... need a minute." She said. "How is it feeling now?"

"Much better, thank you." I said as I tried to get up but Kira stopped me.

"Take it easy it's still pretty bad." She said carefully pushing me back down. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to help more."

"That's alright. With you beside me I already feel a million times better." I smiled and she blushed.

"Do they always flirt like that?" Seliel asked Nya.

"They don't know they're flirting, but yeah they're flirting." Nya laughed.

"Here." Skylor came back with a bag full of pot stickers and a small bag of ice. "This should help."

"Thanks." Kira said.

She carefully placed the ice on my ankle and I flinched in pain. Everyone else was passing around the food, mainly to Seliel, Kira and Mistaké because they hadn't eaten yet.

"We need to get you guys off the streets." Mistaké said. "It won't be long until they find us here."

"Let them come." I said.

"Lloyd are you crazy?" Dareth yelled.

"Relax, I have a plan." I told them.
