Framed: Part 2
⚠️⚠️⚠️ SPOILER ALERT! ⚠️⚠️⚠️
This chapter contains spoilers from the Ninjago Garmadon comic book series. I know not everyone can read them or has access to them, there are plenty of summaries and reviews on YouTube if you haven't been able to read it. A lot of people were upset because Crystalized wasn't canon to the Garmadon series, (or at least not the way it should've been) so it was important that I make it canon to this fanfic because the goal was to take everything people said was missing from Crystalized and put it all in here. I'll try my best to not spoil too much from the Garmadon series, but some things are hard to explain if I don't. Anyway, enjoy the story!

Misako's P.O.V.:
I had just drove my vehicle to the outskirts of Two Moon Village. If Garmadon was here, I was going to find him.
I arrived at the village and there were people everywhere. They were very welcoming towards me.
"Hello, welcome to Two Moon Village." A young girl greeted me. "I'm Min."
"My name is Misako." I smiled at the girl. "I come here looking for someone."
"Who?"
"He's an old friend of mine." I said, showing her a picture of Garmadon. "It's important that I speak to him at once. Has he been by here?"
"Oh, you mean him? He's the hero that saved our village from the bear attack." Min said.
"Hero? What do you mean hero?"
"He saved everyone, without him, we would all be goners."
"Well, can you take me too him?" I asked.
"Oh, he just left an hour ago heading north towards the city. He was on foot so you should be able to catch him." Min said.
"Ok, thank you." I said.
I took my bike and started heading that way. After thirty minutes of driving I saw a man with four arms walking from the back. I knew it had to be him. I pulled up next to him on my bike.
"Garmadon." I said.
"Misako?" He locked eyes with me. "What are you doing here?"
"I was looking for you." I said as I parked and got off the bike. "There's something we need to discuss."
"Does this involve Lloyd?"
"Not at the moment, but it will if you don't help."
"What do you need my help for?" He asked.
I got the scroll out of my bag and handed it to him. He seemed curious, but not surprised.
"Ninjago city is about to be in danger and you are the only one who knows how to stop it." I explained.
"The return of the Overlord? Didn't this already happen?" He asked.
"Yes, but it will happen again, and this time he'll have some kind of army that will be no match for elemental powers of any kind." I stated. "And according to my research, it will happen very soon."
"I want no part in this Misako. I need to go and find my own path." He closed the scroll and gave it back to me. "I'm sure the ninja can find a way to beat this on their own."
He started walking away, but I started shouting.
"Please, they won't stand a chance without your help." I begged. "You know as well as I do that if the ninja are defeated then it's the end of Ninjago as we know it. So if there's anything you're holding back that can help Lloyd and his team then you should say it, otherwise their defeat will be on your hands."
"The Oni form." He stopped in his tracks.
"What?"
"Lloyd, he's part Oni. If he can unlock his Oni form, that power alone should be enough." He said.
"Then you need to come with me and help him do that." I said.
"I told you what to do, you can take it from here." He shrugged.
"No I can't, I'm not Oni like you. I don't know how to teach him, that's something only you can do."
"What makes you think that Lloyd even wants to see me again?"
"He asks about you all the time." I frowned.
"He does?"
"Yes, every time I come back from an expedition, the first question he always asks me is if I found his father. He won't admit it, but I know he misses you. Please come with me and help him with this."
He thought about it for a second, and then he gave in.
"Fine, I'll help, but only because I want revenge on how the Overlord treated me in the past."
"Whatever floats your boat." I said.
He hopped on the back of my bike and we took off back towards the city. I just hope we weren't too late.
Zane's P.O.V.:
Lloyd and I were down at the abandoned subway tunnel examining the wall for any signs my brother had been down here. I could get his signal from just out of sight, but there was some kind of interference.
"Do you see anything?" Lloyd asked.
"I sense he is here, but something is interfering with his signal." I told them. "I can't track him."
"Weird, and you're sure this wall doesn't open up or something?"
"Not that my scanners can detect." I shrugged.
"Zane, now that we're alone, can I tell you something?" Lloyd asked me.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Well I... I wanted to ask Kira to be my Yang." He blushed and showed me the medallion he picked out.
It was a green medallion with a dragon on one side and a helix on the other.
"Good for you, but we should stay focused on finding my brother." I said.
"Right, right, I'm sorry." He apologized and put it back in his pocket. "Let's find him."
We kept pressing on the wall trying to find a switch or button to unlock the secret entrance. We had almost pressed everything when someone appeared behind us.
"Well well, if it isn't the bad guy ninja?" He said.
We turned around to see the Mechanic standing there.
"We will never be on your side Mechanic." I said.
"Well that's some big talk for someone who already is." He laughed.
"What?" I asked.
"It doesn't matter, let's just get this guy." Lloyd said.
Lloyd and I started fighting him and he was a bit stronger than the other times we fought him. At one point his mechanical arm flung Lloyd straight into the concrete wall. He hit his head and passed out.
"Oh you are going to pay for that!" I yelled.
I blasted an ice beam at the Mechanic, but he dodged it and punched me in the the chest, pinning me to the ground. I saw him enter the room behind the wall before I passed out...
•••
I woke up and looked around. There was no sign of the mechanic anywhere, but the wall was still there. I was about to look for how he opened the door, but then I saw Lloyd leaning against the other wall, still out cold from what happened. I wanted to save my brother, but I knew my friend needed help.
I went over and checked his vital signs. He had a slight concussion but would be fine once he woke up, but I needed to get him back to the monastery. I hoisted him on my back and took him back to the monastery.
Once I arrived back home, the other ninja, Wu, Kira and Skylor all met us at the door. I assumed Pixal was still downstairs. Kira saw Lloyd and started freaking out.
"Oh no, what happened?" Kira took him from me.
"We had a fight with the mechanic and he took a hard hit." I told her.
"Can you help him?" Nya asked Kira.
"Yeah, I'll try." Kira nodded.
Cole grabbed him and helped me get him onto the couch. Kira started looking at him.
"Did you find your brother?" Kai asked me.
"No. I saw the mechanic open the door behind the wall. I wanted to investigate, but I had to get Lloyd home." I explained.
"You made the right decision Zane." Wu said to me.
"Will he be ok?" Nya asked Kira, who was still examining Lloyd.
"I think so, he's just really out of it." She answered.
Kira used her powers to heal his head and wrapped it in bandages. Kira and Skylor then carried him to his room so he could rest.
Then we all heard a motorcycle pull up outside. Misako came into the room.
"Hey, is Lloyd here?" She asked.
"He's uhh... taking a nap." Jay said.
"Why?" Kai asked.
"Well, I found something that Lloyd may or may not like." Misako said.
"What?" Cole asked.
"Hello ninja."
We all gasped as Garmadon came into the room.
"What is he doing here?" Cole said.
"I know it sounds crazy, but we need his help." Misako said. "The Overlord is going to resurface, and this time he'll be much more powerful."
"Didn't we already defeat the Overlord twice?" Cole asked.
"Yes, but the Overlord can never truly be defeated, only kept at bay." Wu said.
"That would've been nice to know the last two times we faced him." Jay yelled.
"So what does this have to do with Garmadon being here?" Kai asked.
"Because he'll have an army, one that can withstand your elemental powers." Misako said.
"Do you think that has anything to do with the vengestone operation we've been trying to get to the bottom of?" Cole questioned.
"It would make the most logical sense, considering that the buyer has been able to communicate with a lot of people at once and they have been able to remain anonymous." I said.
"You're telling me that the Overlord... is the buyer?" Jay asked.
"I am unsure, but it does seem like the most logical scenario." I told him.
"We have to tell Lloyd." Kai said.
"Tell Lloyd what?" Kira asked walking into the room with Skylor.
We all looked at each other. They looked surprised by Garmadon's presence. Then Misako gave Kira the scroll and they read it.
"Oh, that's what." Skylor said looking at it.
"This is not good." Kira said.
"Kira, is Lloyd ok?" Misako asked.
"He got injured in a fight with the mechanic." I said. "He hit his head."
"He'll be fine, we're just waiting for him to wake up." Kira said.
"Thank you." Misako said relieved.
"We need to think of a plan." Garmadon said.
Kira went back into Lloyd's room to check on him. The rest of us made our way to the hangar bay to discuss what to do. Pixal seemed eager to tell me something.
"Zane, I finally recovered the security footage from the day your brother went missing." She told me, then she noticed Garmadon and took a fighting stance.
"It's ok Pixal, he's agreed to help us." Misako said.
"Help us with what?" She asked.
"I'll explain later, but you found my brother?" I asked.
"Not exactly, but I did find this."
She pulled up the video on the monitor and showed it to me.
***
I saw my brother alone in the monastery, torquing his vehicle. Then someone in a kabuki mask came up behind him, knocked him out and dragged him out of the room.
***
I tried to focus on the details of the guy, but nothing in any of my databases were matching their description.
"Why are we doing that?" Garmadon said. "We're wasting precious time."
"We can't do anything until Lloyd wakes up anyway." Misako reminded him. "I wonder how he's doing."
Lloyd's P.O.V.:
I woke in my bedroom and saw Kira standing by the door. I tried to sit up, but my head hurt so bad.
"Ow!" I groaned. "What happened?"
"Lloyd you're awake!" Kira smiled. "How are you feeling?"
"Like someone tried to bash my head into a wall." I said holding it.
"I'm sorry, I wanted to help more but I didn't know how bad it was." Kira frowned. "If you want I can heal you again."
"No, I'll be fine. Thanks." I smiled. "Where is everyone?"
"Oh they're in the hangar bay discussing what to do about the uhh... situation." Kira said.
"What situation?" I asked.
"Well, something came up while you were out, and I don't think you're gonna take it well."
"I don't get it, what happened?"
"Well, let's just say we have a new mission."
"Kira just tell me!"
"I'll explain everything later, you just rest." Kira said.
"Fine, whatever."
I laid back down and checked my pocket. Luckily I still had the medallion, but now didn't feel like the right time. Kira sounded scared and tired and I didn't want to stress her out more.
"Did Zane find Echo?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
"He got to see the gate open but he had to get you home." Kira said.
"Oh." I frowned.
"It's ok, it's not your fault." She said sitting on the foot of the bed.
"I feel so bad. He wanted to focus on finding Echo but I kept distracting him with... something else, and maybe if I hadn't we would've found him."
"Don't blame yourself. At least now we know where to look."
"I guess." I sighed.
I got out of bed and sat up. My head was still pounding and Kira gave me some healing tea.
"Here this will help." She said.
"Thanks." I said taking it.
I took a few sips and then after a minute I was feeling better. I stood up and started walking out the door, but Kira stopped me.
"Whoa, where do you think you're going?" She asked.
"Well if the others are coming up with a plan, shouldn't I be a part of it?" I asked.
"Yeah but the ninja can handle this themselves. Plus you need your rest."
"I'm feeling better. I really need to be a part of this." I said trying to duck past her.
"No. It's ok." She stopped me.
"Kira what's going on? Are you hiding something from me?"
"Of course not, I just want you to rest."
"Come on Kira, whatever it is I'll be fine."
"Ok, fine. Your mom came back and she found... something. Something that we're not sure you're gonna like."
"What is it?"
"It's easier if I just show you." She frowned.
She lead me down to the hangar bay and as we got off the elevator, I saw him standing there.
"Hello son."
"Father?" My eyes widened.

Echo's P.O.V.:
"Come on, come on!"
I sat in my cell trying to use a nail to pick the lock. I had been here for days trying to find a way out of here.
I've been sending signals to my brother through my communicator, but being that it was broken it could only do so much. I wasn't even sure if anyone knew I gone.
After a few minutes of picking at the lock, I finally got it open. I checked if the coast was clear and then made a run for it.
This was a big place, I wasn't even sure where I was, much less how to get out of here. I found myself in a dark hallway when I heard someone talking.
"We only need one more person to fulfill the council." I heard a deep voice say.
"Do you really think you can change him back?" Another voice asked.
"I turned him once, I can do it again." The deep voice said.
Were they talking about me? What did they mean by turning me back? Whatever the case, I had to get back and tell my brother and my friends. I turned the other way and started running again, but then I ran into a giant serpentine.
"And jussst where do you think you're going?" She said hissing in my face.
"Asphera?" I realized.
"Oh she's the least of your worries." Another voice said.
I turned around and saw Pythor, The Mechanic, King Vangelis, and a creepy person in a kabuki mask. I hadn't met some of these villains, but based on the stories my brother told me about their adventures I knew who they were. However the kabuki guy was new.
"Get him!" The kabuki guy said.
I tried to make a run for it, but they surrounded me on all sides, there was nothing I could do. They pinned me to the ground and held me down.
"Get off! I'll never join you!" I yelled.
While the others were holding me down, the kabuki guy opened my hatch. Before I passed out, I heard him say something...
"Welcome to the council, Mr. F."
To be continued...
