Bonding time with in-laws
Once Esther and Finn left the room to go get with the modern time, Bonnie slumped on the couch when her husband followed and draped his arm over her shoulders and pressed a kiss to her forehead, rubbing her arm.
"Are you okay now my darling?"
Bonnie sighed, leaning into her husbands touch.
"It's weird looking at them," she gestured to the Mikaelson siblings who were sat on the opposite sofas, staring at the pair.
Klaus chuckled coldly.
"You think it to be weird looking at us, witch? You're the one acting all lovey dovey with my brother!"
Bonnie sighed, "I take it back. I didn't miss him."
Kol only chuckled at his wife's misery.
"How did this even happen?" Rebekah demanded, gesturing between the pair.
Her wily fox of a brother who kills mercilessly.
The sacrificial little witch who was loyal to her friends.
And they're sitting next to each other comfortably, snuggling, and looking at each other with nothing but love in their eyes.
The couple both had a contemplating look on their face.
Then Bonnie snapped her fingers triumphantly.
"It was Niklaus."
Klaus looked shocked at the idea while Kol looked confused.
"No I think it was Mother."
Bonnie furrowed her eyebrows asking, "How was it your mother?"
"We first met at the ball that Mother had hosted."
Bonnie nodded seeing where he was going with this.
"You mean that same ball that you forced me to dance with you all night and basically leered at me."
Kol shook his head amused.
"I think the correct term is appreciating fine beauty and you had no complaints in our conversation."
Bonnie replied in disbelief, "I threatened to set burn you alive in front of everyone."
Kol smirked at her, "And that's how I knew you were the one for me darling. Comebacks to everything I said, threatening me in my own home, being a powerful witch. The fact that you almost ended Nik's existence was a bonus."
Bonnie rolled her eyes at her husbands thought process before pointing out, "Rebekah asked how we got together, not how we met."
Kol nodded his head in realisation before turning to his sister and bluntly stating, "We both died together."
"Kol." Bonnie hissed as she smacked his shoulder.
Kol merely shrugged his shoulders, "Well it's true, my darling. Had we not died, we never would've talked and seen how not so different we are."
Bonnie went to say something but Klaus had interrupted demanding, "How did you die?"
"A hunter of the 5 stabbed me through the heart with a white oak stake." Kol said not looking at any of his siblings.
Klaus reacted first.
"Hunter of the 5?! White oak stake! You're delusional Kol, they don't exist anymore."
Kol faced Bonnie with a mischievous grin on his face, "How would you like to go burn some bridges, Darling?"
Bonnie only laughed at her husbands antics before turning to Klaus, "You can join if you want."
Klaus only smirked at the witch.
Kol only shook his head at his brothers antics, making his brother turn to the Bennett Witch.
"And how did you die, witch?"
Bonnie looked at Klaus with a raised eyebrow, "Why, jealous you didn't get to kill me?"
Klaus looked offended on his part.
"I'm only trying to get to know my dear sister in-law."
Bonnie rolled her eyes, "It's complicated how I died. And it's too long of a story to tell you right now."
Klaus was about to demand answers from the witch when Elijah interrupted.
"What of the Miss Bennett of this timeline? What would happen if she was to see you?"
Bonnie turned to Elijah, "When I came here, I hijacked my past body. Esther did something with my nie- protégé."
Bonnie quickly changed her word so the Mikaelsons wouldn't question it.
"Why does your body look so mature then?" Rebekah asked as her eyes wandered over Bonnie's body.
Bonnie raised her eyebrows in surprise at Rebekah before looking at Kol whose hand had wrapped around her waist bringing her closer to him as he glared at his sister.
Bonnie thought about what Rebekah had said and started to unbutton her shirt.
A strangled noise came from Elijah's throat as he turned away, a blush dusting his cheeks.
Whereas Klaus and Rebekah stared unbashful as the Bennett Witch took off her shirt.
Kol only leaned back in his seat and appreciated the view he got of his wife.
Bonnie beckoned for Kol to come to her and he immediately stood up to face his vest covered wife.
Bonnie lift up her vest to show him the gruesome scar on her stomach.
"I guess it is my body."
Klaus asked, "How many scars do you have Bonnie?"
The hybrid was confused as to how she had scars in the first place, when she had magic her to heal her.
And why did he feel like killing the ones who put them on her?
Bonnie turned to Klaus.
She pointed to the one on her stomach, "This is from a crossbow from a sociopath."
She lifted her vest to show the one below it but more near her hip, "This is from a hunting knife from the same sociopath."
She turned her back to Klaus and pointed to the one on her shoulder, "This is from Rayna Cruz, the huntress which is another story for a different time." she added seeing Klaus about to speak
Bonnie then lifted her arm to show a claw mark, "And that's from you." she looked at Klaus who only stared at her arm.
She then went to put her shirt on, "As for why I have them in the first place, well I can't be dependent on my magic when it can easily be taken away from me."
Her words struck the originals to their core as they felt the hollowness in her tone as she talked about her magic being easily taken away from her.
Rebekah changed the subject and turned to the couple.
"How long have you guys been married? Were we at the wedding?" she did genuinely want to know if she was at the wedding.
Bonnie answered as Kol looked away from his little sisters hopeful eyes.
"We've been married for 70 years. And we don't talk about what happened at our wedding."
Elijah could see that something serious had happened as Bonnie was rubbing Kols shoulder comfortingly.
Rebekah snapped her head to Kol in surprise, realising something.
"Wait 70 years? Did you become a vampire Bonnie?"
Bonnie went to talk but Kol only draped his arm over his wife's shoulders, a proud smile on his face.
"My darling became immortal, without becoming a vampire."
Klaus shook his head in denial.
"That is a very long story but to cut it short my bloodline created immortality and I just created the spell again."
Elijah interjected, "But our mother made us into vampires."
"Your mother made you into vampires. But who gave her the spell of immortality which Esther tweaked to make you guys faster and stronger. Your lovely neighbour Ayanna.."
"Bennett." Rebekah whispered.
Bonnie nodded.
"And you can be killed." she added, "True immortality means you can't be killed. Only cured of it."
"Cure?" Klaus and Rebekah asked simultaneously.
"There is a cure for immortality."
"Well where is it?" Rebekah demanded.
Bonnie only replied, "Somewhere."
Rebekah sped in front of Bonnie hissing, " Where is it, witch?"
Bonnie only tilted her head at Rebekah and bluntly said, "With the person who it needs to be used on. One of the enemies me and Kol killed before and now we have to kill again." I can create it but trust me Rebekah you can't use it yet because there is a war coming for us all and every single enemy you have all made," she looked at all of the Mikaelson siblings," are alive right now. And now we have to find all the ways to destroy them."
She looked back at Rebekah and softened, "I know you wish to be human Rebekah and you will get that life but right now your mom has sent Kol and I back to where it all began. Right now, I need Rebekah Mikaelson, the first vampire to exist. The one who is stronger than her vampire brothers. I need you to stand by my side because what is coming for us demands that we all stick together."
Bonnie turned back to the Mikaelson siblings.
"I know you only know me as your enemy. But I have spent decades with you all. I know things about you that no-one knows. I've seen you all at your worst and best. You are my family. And I know that you don't trust me which is fine. But you have to understand that I fight for my family which is this family. There are wars coming our way. Kol and I have lived through them all. You want to keep us out and do this by yourself? Fine then. You're going to die. The only way any of us can live in peace is if we work together."
Klaus stood up first and walked to Bonnie.
He looked at her first with narrowed eyes before he smiled at her.
"Well sister, who do we have to kill?"
