Naomi woke up suddenly, heavily breathing and panting as she dreamt something from the past.

'Who...who was that?' She thought, before realizing it's midnight, Kaede Hana, and Toyo are asleep, and she realized that there's a wet cloth on her hands that maybe fell on her forehead.

Naomi blinked and looked at the two sleeping figures, inwardly thanking them before she shakily stood up and opened the window.

'I guess it's another starry night again.' She said to herself, before jumping up the roof to star gaze.

What she was surprised was that there is another person awake at this hour, a certain redhead with a gourd on his back, looking up at the half white moon.

Not wanting to disturb Gaara, Naomi just sat beside him, so thst he can have company, as Naomi then layed on the roof, tracing the stars in different figures,shapes and constellations.

Meanwhile, Gaara was surprised that a person, a girl no less, would go near him and bravely it beside him.

Curiously, he asked Naomi a question.
"Why are you not afraid? I am a monster that people speaks of and avoids." He stated, making Naomi's attention look to him and tear off from the stars.

"Hm? Oh, I don't know about you so much, but if you describe yourself as one, then you are one." Naomi spoke.

Enraged, Gaara wanted to shout something, but was cut off by Naomi.

"But....let me say this, don't believe too much in other people's judgements, because you are who you really are. And besides, even though I don't remember some parts of my past, I think I was also called a monster, and was treated of how you were back at your village." Naomi exclaimed, before sighing and standing up. That made Gaara relax.

"Why were you called a monster?" Gaara asked again, unable to shake off his and even Shukaku's curiosity.

"I'll tell you, but let's keep it a secret, between us only okay?" Naomi said.

After a short silence, Gaara nodded, and Naomi unwrapped a little bit her scarf, revealing her folded black wings.
She opened it and stretched it, making Gaara and Shukaku look in awe at the marvelous black and smooth feathered wings.

"Mmm...it's so good to let it out again." Naomi spoke, stretching her wings farther before folding it again, then wrapping and hiding them back at her precious scarf.

"Anyways, can I ask you this too? I've been wondering this since I saw you looking at the moon earlier." Naomi stated, making Gaara think about it, before nodding.

"Well, when you look at the moon back at your village, do you feel this unusual warm feeling deep in your heart, and your stomach starts fluttering and you feel somewhat....happy?" Naomi asked.

"Yes, you do too?" He asked, making her nod in reply.

"But I don't know the meaning of it, do you or Shukaku know about it?" Naomi said.

"How did you know about Shukaku?!" He exclaimed.

"Simple, you are radiating two different chakras, and that is unusual, so I guess you have a tailed beast inside of you, and guessing by your hitai atte, I knew that you have the sand spirit, Shukaku." Naomi informed him, making him blink.

"Oh. And the answer to your question earlier is, we both don't know." Gaara shrugged.

Naomi pov
"Oh it's alright, I don't know either. Though...why do we both feel it?" I asked him, more like to myself, as questions kept popping in my mind.

Then suddenly, sand wraped around my waist and made me closer to Gaara, making me blink in realization but unable to process why he did that.
(yes, I call him without a -san anymore because of this certain or somewhat connection that we have though we both don't know about.)

"Mother says you are warm." Gaara spoke, making me look at him, making him realize that what I'm questioning is 'who is this mother?'

"Oh, it's Shukaku." He said, making me nod, and then sigh as the sun from along the horizon began to rise, as the sand around my waist began to loosen up, making me able to stand up and Gaara stand also.

"Oh, before we go back to the rooms.." I went near him and kissed his cheek, before turning around and jogging back to the window of my team's room.

"It's a thank you gift/ kiss for you and Shukaku for listening and staying all night with me! And remember to keep our secret!he is awake.

"Good morning Toyo, ready for the third round?" I asked.

"Meow!" He replied, jumping at me and perfectly landing on ny head, as he positioned himself to be comfortable.

"Well time to wake up both of them." I said.

I got near the two sleeping figures and shouted a bit. "I think I want to go back with you guys!" I shouted.

This made them immediately wake up, and look at me happily and hopefully.

"Sorry on breaking your hopes up, but I said the word 'think' am I right?"i stated, making them cry anime tears but get up anyways.

"I'll make breakfast along with Hana, Naomi-chan you can wait here." Kaede informed, dragging Hana with her towards the kitchen.

After eating, we directly went to the arena to where a chunnin escorted us, standing up in a line with me first and Kaede in the last.

Then Gaara's team went next, making also a line beside us with him infront, and the cat man at the back.

Soon, the arena started to fill up with different genins that passed the test, and I also saw team guy's/ my supposed to be team there, making me sigh inwardly in relief.

I also saw Naruto-san 's team, but they have so many scars and bruises, though I'm glad that they can still participate.

A jonnin said that we should sit on the floor, so we all sat criss-crossed as we waited for lord hokage and other jonnins to stand infront.

I practically zoned out when lord hokage began to explain or more like, say a speech, so I didn't bother to listen as some thoughts swirled in my mind.

'Who was that creepy snake man and why did he do that?'

'Who and what is the demon that has marked me? When will I see her?'

'Who's voice did that person in my dream belong to? The voice sounded like a woman's voice..'

'And what is that unusual feeling that me, Gaara and Shukaku don't know about that may bound us together?'

I was stopped by my train of thoughts as a coughing man exclaimed something about a 'preliminary round' before the third and last round.

Then I heard groans and some this and that, and I didn't bother to listen because I know that lord hokage made a preliminary rounds for a reason.
