Yellow Fever
I made myself the task of cooking breakfast for myself and Bobby.
I had been staying with him since the Rise of the Witnesses to learn more about supernatural lore and defend myself.
I couldn't actually get to cases right away due to my inexperience probably getting someone or myself killed but I thought I was doing good.
The phone rang. I made my way to the living room seeing Bobby's personal phone ringing.
With living here, I realized Bobby wasn't a normal old man hunter. He helped other hunters as well. He had plenty of phones around his library, each one with a tag mentioning an institution and a name. I asked, and Bobby told me it was to help out hunters in need when they needed an alibi. He had FBI, Newspaper offices, Navy and among others. He impressed me.
"Bobby!" I called out. Bobby walked in. I pointed at the phone "Phone. Your personal one"
Bobby grumbled under his breath, picking it up "Sam?" He looked up at me.
I looked curious.

Talking to Sam, we found out they had a case about people dying of fear within a 48 hours span.
Dean had gotten himself with the same symptoms as the victims, reeking of extrasensorial activity making it hard for them to find the ghost with their EMF reader as it reacted with him. It was some kind of sickness he got himself because he used fear as a weapon. Sam had used the term 'dick' to describe the victims attitude.
I chuckled suddenly "I gotta watch this"
Bobby gave me a look, "This is not a matter of laughing" he told me but his lips twitched slightly, "Come on. We're gonna pay a visit to those idjits, who knows how much trouble they're getting into"
I grinned, following him out of his house.

On our way to where Dean and Sam were, we researched about Ghost sickness and everything about it, discussing it with Sam.
The boys had found out some guy named Luther was the ghost responsible. As Bobby had explained to me once, to get rid of a ghost you had to burn the remains or if they're bound to a object, destroy it so they can finally rest and move on.
But the problem with this ghost was that Luther had been dragged down a length of dirt road by a chain around his neck and connected to a car. Every part of him had been scattered along the road. Could you actually burn down an entire road? That's why it was imposible as it wouldn't be easy to find all of Luther's remains.
"What a cruel way to die" I said to Bobby once we arrived to a lumber mill where Luther had been road-hauled, getting out of Bobby's car. "Not as painful as being rip apart by hellhounds but still, painful" I murmured that to myself so Bobby wouldn't hear. We walked toward Sam.
"Howdy, Sam" Bobby greeted him
"Hiya" I wriggled my fingers in a greeting.
"Hey, guys" Sam told us, "Thanks for coming so quick"
"Couldn't miss this" I said cheerfully. Bobby and Sam gave me a look, "So, where's Dean?''
Sam sighed, "Uh, home sick"

"So, have the hallucinations started yet?" Bobby asked
"Yeah, a few hours ago" Sam answered
"How we doing on time?" Bobby asked
"We es the coroner about 8:00 AM Monday morning, so, uh.. Just under two hours" Sam answered "What about you?"
"This uh, encyclopaedia of spirits dates to the Edo period" Bobby explained, handing Sam a book with Japanese text.
I scratched my head, scoffing as Sam looked up at Bobby baffled, "You can read Japanese?"
Bobby answered in Japanese making me cackle. "Oh, he does. Had him translating a lot of stuff in our way here"
Bobby chuckled, "Anyway, this book lists a kind of ghost that could be our guy" He explained. "It uh, infects people with fear. It's called a Buru Buru"
"It say how to kill it?" Sam asked
"Same as usual" Bobby answered "Burn the remains"
"Wonderful" Sam said sarcastically "Uh...Is there a Plan B?"
"Well, that things is born of fear" I shrugged, "The lore says you can kill it with fear"
"So we have to scare a ghost to death?" Sam asked
"Pretty much" Bobby replied.
Sam sighed, "How the hell we gonna do that?"
Bobby and I exchanged a look

Sam called Dean "Hey. So, uh, just ride out the trip, okay? You're-You're gonna be fine. We got a plan. Uh, just a good, alright? Hang in there" He hung up, turning to face us
"This is a terrible plan guys" I said eyeing Bobby's salt shell shotgun in his hand.
"Yeah, tell me about it" Sam sighed
Bobby looked at us, "When the lore said 'scare the ghost to death' I didn't know you'd plan something like this"
Sam looked between us, "Hey, if you two got a better idea, I'm listening"
I sighed, following after him and Bobby, walking into the lumber mill with salt shell shotguns. I wouldn't consider myself an expert but I could manage.
We split up, searching.

I was looking around, hearing through my walkie talkie Sam and Bobby discussing about a way of finding Luther. Sam started provoking the ghost into appearing.
I continued walking cautiously, suddenly hearing signs of a struggle ahead. I ran toward the sound, finding Sam and Luther engaging in a fight.
It wasn't my first time seeing a ghost but it was the first one I watched without getting a warning of it appearing.
I stopped seeing Luther appearing behind Sam. The ghost made Sam's gun fly out of his hands before gripping his throat, pushing him against a wall and repeatedly hit his head against it.
I raised my gun, taking a deep breath and aiming at Luther, shooting once making him disappear.
Sam fell to the ground coughing, looking at me with wide eyes.
I felt goosebumps in my arms before my gun suddenly was thrown away from my hands, I turned around only for Luther grab my throat like he did with Sam. I gasped for air, crawling at his hands as he squeezed tightly.
Sam ran toward Luther, wrapping an iron chain around his neck from behind while Luther was distracted with me. I was dropped to the ground as Luther struggled to get out.
"Bobby, punch it!" Sam yelled
Bobby was at the Impala, driving the Impala away as fast and hard as he could away from the mill. The chain around Luther's neck was connected to the back of the car, pulling Luther's spirit out of the mill as well making him chock and crash against everything as he was dragged through the floor.
I breathed heavily, massaging my throat, exchanging a look with Sam. We nodded at each other, running outside to make sure it worked.

Luther was pulled down the road by Bobby in the Impala with the chain around his neck.
Sam and I watched, almost nervously.
Luther's spirit was ran through the road until he disappeared making me sigh in relief.

Dean was okay.
We were now parked on the side of the road, standing between the Impala and Bobby's car, listening to Dean
He told us that the Sheriff of the town had been infected as well by the sickness that almost killed Dean. He had died of a heart attack before he could kill Dean, though.
And we told him how we stopped the ghost before he could die.
"So you guys road-hauled a ghost with a chain?" Dean asked, picking up a beer.
"Iron chain etched with spell work" Sam clarified
"Hmm, that's a new one" Dean hummed, raising his drink
"It was what he was most afraid of" I sighed. "It was pretty brutal, though"
"On the upside, I'm still alive, so uh, go team!" Dean raised a hand up.
"Yeah" Sam agreed. "How you feeling, by the way?"
"Fine" Dean answered
"You sure, Dean?" Bobby asked him "'Cause this line of work can get awful scary"
"I'm fine. You want to go hunting?" Dean told us "I'll hunt. I'll kill anything"
I chuckled, raising my eyebrows teasingly "Aww, cute"
Bobby chuckled, standing up "I got to get out of here" He looked at me "You comin'?"
I nodded, walking to Bobby "You boys drive safe" I pointed at them
"You too, guys" Sam told us. "Hey, thanks, Bobby, Leah. Not bad for your second case"
I smiled, shrugging following Bobby to his car, ready to get back his house.
"You were good back there. But you still have a long way before you can fight" Bobby told me, driving
I touched my throat, nodding "Yeah. Still pretty good distraction" I said cheerfully
Bobby shook his head, "Idjit"
I laughed.
