In the Beginning

My dreams were becoming annoying. They mostly had me sweating and paranoid. They shouldn't have. I lived through all kind of torture there is being there. I didn't need it in my subconscious as well

A specific dream had been going on and on, repeatedly for almost three days in an arrow. It was the one I could admit that scarred me the most. The one who definitely broke my soul piece by piece and left me fearless.

At some point, I thanked whoever put me in that position as I couldn't longer feel the pain as I used to do. It made Hell more bearable.

My eyes snapped opened, a loud gasp leaving my lungs, asking for air as I stood up. My shaky hands passed through my tangled and messy hair as I slowly regained my senses. I looked around only to jump in surprise at the stoic man standing at the edge of my bed at my feet.

"Jesus" I exhaled, recognizing Castiel.

Only a frown adorned his face, "Why you say that? I'm not him" He tilted his head aside, using his monotone voice. I gave him a sarcastic look. "What were you dreaming about?" He asked changing the subject.

"Rainbow and unicorns" I replied sarcastically. Castiel gave me a look "What? Too much color for you?"

"You seem calm for someone having unpleasant dreams" Castiel noted calmy tilting his head

"That's why it wasn't unpleasant. Quit the contrary actually" I frowned. "What are you doing here? Pulling an Edward Cullen?"

It had been easy catching up with nowadays trends. Apparently that twilight thing movie was the 'it' topic, so being me, I watched the movie one of my restless nights. To say I was baffled and amused by the content was an understatement.

Castiel looked at me, confusion swirling in his eyes for a moment, "You have to stop them"

I narrowed my eyes, "Stop what?"

"The seals getting broken" Castiel answered. I furrowed my eyebrows "The rising of the Witnesses was one of the 66 seals"

"So?" I asked, uninterested. "I care about that, because...?"

"The seals are locks on a door, Leah" Castiel said seriously. "Think of it like this. If they're all broken, a door opens and Lucifer walks out free"

My eyebrows raised, "Lucifer as in the Devil? He's real too?"

"Real as me" Castiel replied. "We are here to stop that from happening. And that's where you come from"

I shook my head confused, "Time out" I lifted my hands, forming a 'T'. "Firstly you're all mighty pissed off that I hitchhiked a ride out of hell with you and Dean and want to bring me back. Or that's what I gathered when we met you. And now? You want me to stop seals getting broken? How the hell am I supposed to do that? And why?"

Castiel looked serious, -okay, when does he not?- "I can still throw you back to hell, if you want that" I closed my mouth, shaking my head no, "And that was before we realized something about you. You're connected to these seals. You can find them. So, if you want to continue being on Earth, you'll stop Lillith the Demon from breaking them"

"What?!" I exclaimed "I don't like being ordered around! And what the hell do you mean I'm connected to them?"

Castiel didn't answer. "Stop them. Or we'll drag you back to Hell"

Before I could say something, Castiel vanished.

I frowned to myself confused.

What did Castiel mean with me being connected to those seals?

Was it the golden eyes?

Was that the reason I was called 'sister' by both ghosts?

I didn't know and hell, I didn't want to. It was hella confusing.

Hopefully, Castiel won't drag me to hell. He's an Angel, right? He wouldn't do it.

Right?
