Deep in the mountains there is a small house that houses a family of the poorest, all coal miners.

A man named Kamado Tanjuro held his young son Kamado Tanjiro in his arms as the rest of the children sat by him.

"Get in close," Kamado Tanjuro said to his children.

"Long ago, there was a woman in our family, born a human but died a demon...though legend has it that she still walks the earth."

Years passed before they arrived at the demon slayer corps but it marked the beginning of the fall of the demon king-almost 410 years later.

With the arrival of Kamado Nezuko and Tanjiro, a shift was seen by a wise master's eyes.

He watched silently as the trial was conducted whether or not Kamado Nezuko could be trusted.

After the trial, he urged them and another hashira to follow him.

Ubuyashiki ushered Kamado Tanjiro to follow them, beckoning Tokito Muichiro to also follow.

"Why me?" The mist pillar grumbled, clearly unhappy he was unable to enjoy his steamed buns with the rest of the hashira.

The master of the demon slayers brought them to the secret library and sealed the doors tightly behind them.

"This archive contains everything known about every demon slayer-and demon-in existence." He reached for a scroll sealed tightly, studded in rare gems and many protection charms. "But this scroll is the most important. It can only be opened in a unique way."

He opened it quickly and a very old scroll rolled out which he displayed on a low table nearby.

"You may touch it but be careful. This is the only record in history of this woman."

"Woman?"

The master took gentle care of unscrolling it, pointing to the reliefs. "This woman. They describe her like a snowflake: gentle, beautiful, but cold and unforgiving."

The master ushered for his underlings to sit on the cushions nearby, opening the scroll completely.

"They say she was born a human to a very wealthy family and was forced to marry a wealthy man who turned out to be the king of demons." He pointed to the portrait of a castle.

"Muzan."

Ubuyashiki continued. "She suffered in his home but gave birth to two sons. Yoriichi and Michikatsu, but that was only the beginning."

He unrolled the rest of the scroll as the candles snapped out to be replaced with an eerie purple demonic glow. "Shortly after her sons were born, she escaped to her brother's house and left her children there. Now the writer was unsure if this woman was turned into a demon before this or after but either way, that is the first record of Doma, upper rank two, appears."

"Who wrote this story?" Tokito asked.

"Hush, I'm getting to that." Ubuyashiki pointed to a very faded picture of a boy with rainbow colored eyes with two older children. "This is Sora, son of the woman and the demon. The other two are other spawn of Muzan-before they were turned into upper rank 6 Daki and Gyutaro."

As the master continued the story, Tokito's blood burned.

"Finally, the legend has it that the woman can be found only a few times. A total solar eclipse-in honor of her deceased son Yoriichi. A lunar eclipse in honor of her son Michikatsu who is now Kokushibo-upper rank one. A full moon in honor of her son Soma. No one knows where she currently resides but she leaves traces of herself every time a new demon slayer hashira or master comes into the corps."

Ubuyashiki held up a vial. "Shinobu's gift was this vial, said to be poison strong enough to kill a demon. And when I became master, I was given a charm that had Kanji characters for lucky moon."

"But those descended from her will receive a special blessing. Tokito, you're a direct descendant of Michikatsu-also known as Kokushibo. The legends say he had a wife and son before becoming a demon."

"And you siblings. You are descendants of the woman though her nephew." Ubuyashiki pointed to the hanufada earrings.

"You are charged with finding Kibutsuji-Kamado (y/n) as she is the very last hope for this world."

Ubuyashiki looked up at his underlings. "The writer of this tale is none other than her son Soma, the son of Doma. You must find someone of his ancestry as well to accompany you in order to have a chance to find the demon queen. She will only answer and help us if you present yourself and at least one other descendant of her sons."

"Good luck, young demon slayers."
