Vanessa's P.O.V.

"Cannon ball!" I shouted as I jumped into the pool behind the beach house Joe and I were staying in.

He laughed as we began swimming in the pool, playing water tag and splashing each other.

We were in Brazil and it was honestly very beautiful. We had rented a beach house not far from the city and it was beyond a paradise. It was even close to the beach, so it made it perfect to have sunset beach walks with Joe.

I swam towards him and he smiled, pulling me close to him. I wrapped my arms around his neck as he held me. He leaned in and kissed me. I responded and kissed him back. I ran my fingers through his damp hair as his hands caressed my hips. It got heated and after a few moments, I pulled away.

"I'm so going to enjoy this vacation. If you know what I mean." I winked. He chuckled and shook his head. "Oh, I haven't even shown you my alpha side yet."

I laughed before we swam for about 3 hours, splashing and just watching the sunset. Once we were done swimming, we dried off and went back inside the house to eat dinner.

He ended up making tomahawk steaks and I made the sides. We ate and saved the leftovers for lunch the next day. We decided to just watch a bit of T.V. afterwards. After dinner, we retreated to the bedroom to get some sleep.

"Wow! Look at this." I gasped as we passed by a waterfall.

"Holy shit, this is awesome!" Joe exclaimed.

We stopped the horses so I could take a picture of it. We were on a trail ride with a few other couples and it was really nice. The horses were very gentle and weren't spooked at the crashing noises of the water.

I urged my horse to go and we followed the couples, passing through the beautiful trail. We were trail riding for another two hours until riding hours were over and it was time to go do another activity.

We decided to just take a hike in the mountains with the group. It was beautiful seeing the trees and a different environment other than what I'm used to.

After that, we decided to go to the beach to do some wake boarding and parasailing. We were currently now on the boat that was taking us.

I had taken off my shorts, leaving me in my bathing suit as I drank a beer. Joe was in some swimming trunks and his tank top.

"Ready to do this, babe?" Joe asked as I got my life jacket on. "Yep." I said.

I got in the water and on the board before grabbing onto the rope. I gave the driver the signal that I was ready and soon, we were off.

"Whoo!" I cheered as I began wake boarding like a pro.

"There you go, babygirl!" Joe shouted as I rode the water.

It lasted for about 5 minutes until it was Joe's turn to do it. He got his gear on before going into the water and getting on the board.

We were off and I laughed and cheered as Joe began wake boarding. He let out the yell he usually does in the ring before laughing with a smile on his face.

I took stories on my Instagram of us having a good time before we decided to do parasailing. We got in what we needed and were attached to.

"You both ready?" the driver of the boat asked as his crew waited.

"Yeah!" we replied.

We both began going up slowly and I grabbed Joe's hand as the anticipation and excitement filled me as we got up in the air.

"Whoa." I breathed as I took in the view.

"Babe, I love this." I added.

"This is an amazing view. I've always wanted to do this with you." he replied, giving me a quick kiss.

"How about some lunch after this?" he added.

I nodded my head before we were in the air for a good 3 minutes, enjoying the view of the beach and the city.

Joe and I were now outside, sitting down next to the pool together, having some slushies. I noticed he was looking a bit nervous and I couldn't put my finger on it.

I held onto his hand as we looked at the stars glistening in the sky. I felt him kiss the back of mine and I smiled.

"My love." he whispered.

"My man." I replied.

"Come here." he said as he got up. I got up as well and he led me to some kind of rock formation we had in the back next to the pool.

He took my hand in his and I furrowed my eyebrows. Joe looked at me with love, joy, and admiration in his eyes.

"Close your eyes."

"Joe, what's going on?" I asked.

He placed a hand on my cheek. "Just trust me."

I chuckled before closing my eyes. I heard some movement and him taking my hand in his.

"Vanessa Ouellet, I love you and I've been dreaming of this moment since we met. We've been through so many ups and downs. You bring a whole side to me that nobody ever sees. I feel so complete with you and I know we've been dating for six months, but with everything we've been through, it's felt like forever. Will you make me the happiest man on Earth and marry me?" he asked.

He was kneeling down and in his hands, a box with a beautiful ring inside.

I gasped and felt tears forming in my eyes. "Are you serious?"

"Yeah." he replied, his breathing becoming a bit rapid and his voice threatening to break as me smiled.

"Yes!" I replied as I hugged him tightly.

He hugged me back as I cried into his shoulder. Joe kissed my hair and wiped my tears. He placed the ring on my finger before I pulled him in for a kiss. He kissed me back and we hugged again.

"I love you so much, Vanessa." he said.

"I love you more, Joe." I replied.

We both took a photo of us being engaged and let's just say my phone was blasted with the girls fangirling and the guys celebrating.

This was just the start to the rest of my life.
