Target practice
"How's it looking back there?" Lance asked as Nayla was cutting the stitches to his wounds as he sat on a stool in Lotors room, it felt like almost his sanctuary.
"Done," she snipped another and patted his back smiling.
"Still hurts," Lance whined flinching away from her.
"It's going to be sore..: A mirrors over there if your curious," nayla motioned to the side as she packed her medical kit.
She glanced at Lance again and walked out hoping his reaction wouldn't be to bad.
Lance walked over to the mirror slowly and hesitantly as he stared at himself, the bandage on his face was gone thankfully, a small scar on his forehead but barely noticeable. He slowly turned sideways and closed his eyes immediately seeing enough.
"Lance?"
Lotor walked in and saw lances hands clenched, lips pursed, and eyes squeezed shut.
"I'm fine," he whispered not looking at the mirror just as Lotor entered the room.
"I find you say that often, but you don't mean it," Lotor walked over and saw lances bare back.
It was laced with five thick new scar, running from his shoulder blade and across to his dimples in his back. Some side ways, straight up and down, and diagonal.
"They're ugly," Lance finally opened his eyes looking down as Lotor watched his back.
"Your beautiful," Lotor stated and Lance looked at him with wide eyes.
"I-I'm what?" Lance breathed feeling heat on his face never hearing someone say that to him,
He stood there leaning on the dresser that held the mirror as Lotor stood there. Both of them blushing now.
"Your not ugly Lance, nor are the scars, we all have them, don't think of yourself less because of them," Lotor coughed awkwardly.
"Thank you," Lance looked up at him with a gentle smile.
"So now that I'm all healed up, what do I do?" Lance asked walking pass Lotor and pulled a shirt over his head.
"Well I didnt capture you for nothing," Lotor smiled mischievously and Lance looked at him confused.
-------
"Whoa..."
Lotor stood behind Lance as they where in an empty shooting range with different types of guns laying in front of Lance. About a hundred feet away was a body target with bullet dents in them already.
"I've had training before but not this kind, Allura never let us practice like this," Lance whistled impressed.
"Whatcha want me to do exactly?" Lance turned to the prince.
"I want to see how accurate you are, moving items would be next but for now, hit the targets I tell you too," Lotor told him and Lance nodded. He grabbed a grey and purple blaster and closed an eye as he focused on the black figure target a head.
"Chest,"
Bang
"Right shoulder,"
Bang
"Head,"
Bang
"Neck,"
Bang
"Left hand,"
Lance took a deep breath looking at the figure and let his finger put pressure on the trigger.
Bang
Lance lowered the blaster and smirked at the target figure. He hit every target in the center with in a clean shot.
"I am impressed, I knew you held talent, I'd even say your a sharpshooter," Lotor raised an eye brow.
"Heh, it has a nice ring doesn't it?" Lance smiled back at the prince as he rested the blaster on his shoulder and a hand on his hip.
"That's my thing!" Lance remembered he defended when Pidge wondered who called him a sharpshooter, her doubt.
"I feel like dead shot from suicide squad," Lance shook his head and grabbed a hand blaster shooting it a few times hitting the targets chest three times dead center.
"I don't understand your earth references..." Lotor looked at him confused as Lance picked up the rifle and shot it after a moment.
"It's a movie, probably one of the things I miss about earth is watching a movie and understanding it," he shrugged a little as they stood at the range together.
"Well you do not disappoint, your welcome around my ship anywhere you like," Lotor nodded at him as Lance grabbed the hand blasters again smirking as he raised his arm.
"I hope I don't disappoint, I couldn't imagine what would happen if I did," Lance teased a little not looking at the prince. "With me just not knowing anything on my own team, what could happen if I didn't hold any value like this,"
"You surely don't disappoint at all, I can assure you on that..." Lotor smirked amused of the paladin.
"Stop underestimating yourself Paladin," he told lance as he left him in the gun range, lance letting his words sink in. He smiled a little and shot at the target.
