Reunited
Lance walked through the halls getting close to the fighters but felt eyes watching him and he turned back seeing no one there. He wanted to go back as he pursed his lips turning back again as he got to the pods and fighters.
"Where do you think your going?" Hagar snarled and Lance felt lightning strike his back making him cry out in pain and stumbled forward as he spun around seeing Hagar.
"Don't worry I'm leaving," Lance grunted standing back up.
"To tell Voltron all about the galra?" She snarled hitting him again with the lightning and Lance fell on the floor with a grunt. He grabbed his blaster he kept and shot a few times at Hagar but she cut the blasts off with magic and hit Lance again.
He panted on the floor and rolled to his stomach and pushed himself off the floor and sprinted to the fighters as he could hear im Hagar charging up another energy blasts. He fell again skidding across the floor with a small surprise scream as haggar was getting closer.
"Lotor!" He cried out and Hagar raised her hand and shot Lance in the chest with lightning making him scream in pain on the floor.
"No one can save you now you pathetic human," Hagar snarled but cried out when Lance quickly shot her in the leg with his hand gun and grunted sitting up and climbed into a fighter. He powered it up quickly while Hagar was still weak but he flew out thinking he was safe.
Lance panted as he finally got out and groaned in pain as he felt his body sore from the lightning strikes but felt bruises forming as well.
He flipped on switches and turned on a distress signal. Lance looked at his armor and bit his lip knowing the team saw him in this but not as him... Lance took off his armor slowly as his breath hitched in pain and threw it in the back leaving him in black under clothes.
"I shouldn't have left," Lance whispered.
"I finally had someone I loved and I fucking left," Lance banged his fist on the controls and suddenly a message went out and he gasped.
"Shit... This is Lance McClain, I am a paladin of Voltron, I'm minorly wounded from a Druid attack, I have no sources to survive, is anyone out there?" Lance ended the message and let whoever is out there see. If they knew he was a paladin of Voltron he'd be fine, if the galra saw it and took him again he had Lotor, he'd be fine.
"I'm fine, calm down Lance, just calm down," Lance spoke to himself. He breathed heavy as he closed his eyes and felt dizzy. Lance whimpered grabbing his upper arms on each side with opposite hands as his breathing got faster.
He missed the generals, how Zethrid treated him like a sibling would, or how Ezor and him would mess around and sharing jokes, he missed Acxa being all serious, he missed Lotor... He missed how he'd always care about him, let Lance yell or be honest, let Lance cry, he missed Lotor. How he'd be himself around Lance and not just a serious leader, show his altean side, call him beautiful.
"Lotor..." Lance whispered as he reached for the communicator. He hesitated as he wanted to go back but he knew there was so much he needed to do for Voltron.
"I'm sorry," he put the communicator back.
Lance sighed laying in the pilot seat and felt sleep overwhelm him. Lance slowly closed his eyes as he leaned his head back hoping someone would find him. He could return to those he was suppose to belong too...
Then it all went black.
-----
"-nce? Lance!"
Lance peeled his eyes open as he laid on the floor of a cold room and he gasped sitting up and grabbed his chest in pain.
"Wha- who..." Lance turned and felt small arms wrap around him.
"Your alive!" It was Pidge. Lance cried out as he felt his chest flare up in pain.
"Oh my god are you okay? I'm so sorry," Pidge backed away and Lance looked up seeing everyone... Even Shiro...
"Shiro?" Lance smiled in amazement, he was alive.
"Take it easy Lance, how are you feeling?" Shiro knelt down. Lance looked up at Keith and felt his heart clench, not like how Lotor made his flutter.
"Much better, what happened?" Lance smiled as they helped him up.
"We found your distress signal," Allura smiled and Lance looked back at the fighter ship.
"Are you injured?" Keith asked pushing pass and Lance rubbed his chest.
"Its nothing serious," Lance smiled at him.
"Let me see," Keith said gently looking up at him with worried eyes setting a hand on lances shoulder.
Lance bit his lip and slowly lifted his shirt and rolled his eyes seeing a large dark blue bruise covering his chest chest and some of his back but he didn't want the others seeing the back.
"Oh my god, let's get you to a healing pod," Allura said quickly.
"What? Why? It just needs ice," Lance chuckled.
"When did you get so medical?" Pidge teased.
"My friend nayla taught me," he smiled softly.
"Who?"
"What happened?" Shiro asked worriedly.
"I... I don't remember a lot, like you did, I only remember a friend," Lance lied looking away.
"Go get some sleep, we'll talk more later," hunk smiled wrapping his arm around Lance and Lance smiled at his best friend.
"So what really happened?" Hunk asked as they where away from the others.
"What?"
"Don't, I can tell your lying, you remember," hunk smiled sadly.
"Maybe I don't want to remember," Lance whispered looking down.
They stayed silent. Lance was glad someone could see pass his fake smile here, but hunk was like a brother, nothing more nothing less.
"Get some sleep man," hunk hugged him tightly but not to tight. Lance hugged back with a small smile. "I missed you,"
"I missed you too hunk," Lance breathed relieved. Hunk still smelt like home, like earth, it was nice to remember what he was fighting for.
