Loyalty
"So she can see through other people's eyes?" Lance sat at a table eating with the generals in the evening. He sipped the drink happily, the food and drinks here where a lot more better than space juice and goo.
"Yea that's how we get to hack a lot of galra things too, Narti makes them type codings," Ezor gasped happily proud of her friend as Narti was silent.
"Whoa you guys hack into the galra?" Lance said impressed.
"We don't discuss these things with strangers," Acxa stated simply as she sat next to Ezor and sipped her drink.
"Lance isn't a stranger, Lotor likes him enough maybe you'll be a general, ain't that right sharpshooter?" Ezor nudged him.
"Yea I saw you shooting on that mission, your not to bad," Zethrid boomed a laugh.
"A general? Nah I'm not that good," Lance waved them off.
"I'll say," Acxa scoffed. Lance nodded pursue his lips.
"Be nice," ezor pouted.
"Besides, Acxa is way cooler, I mean did you see her flipping all over the place? That was so cool! She never missed a hit either!" Lance beamed at her. Acxa narrowed her eyes a little at him.
"What's your game paladin? You defiantly aren't going to be loyal to the prince with being a paladin of Voltron," she set the cup down harshly.
"Well don't worry, things change, people are replaced, people join, I've seen both sides of this war, and I don't think I'm a Paladin," Lance leaned on the table with crossed arms.
"Lotor has a tendency of taking people from a unwanted life and discriminated of who and what they are and make them into someone important, needed, useful," Ezor smiled gently playing with her food.
"Maybe that's why he chose you, he's saw potential in all of us when no one else did," she looked up at him.
"Whaaaat my team like me I was..." Lance stared down. He was nothing to them. Not after last night with his break down with Lotor, speaking what he actually believed. He could t lie to himself anymore.
"Actually... They would've came for me by now, they think Lotor took me as a prisoner, wouldn't they have came for me by now? No, I'm not that much to them apparently," lance looked at them and Acxa softened looking at him.
"I'm sorry Lance," she told him.
"It's okay, you guys are pretty cool, let me just drink some good old respect women juice cause you girls are bad ass," Lance smirked at the women as Ezor laughed a little as Zethrid punched his arm playfully.
"We needed another guy anyways," Zethrid snorted.
"Generals, you are needed," a soldier walked over to the table of the five.
"Prince Lotor called for you," he told them and the woman stood up.
"You coming?" Acxa looked at Lance as he made no move to get up.
"What for?" Lance raised an eye brow.
"Prince Lotor wants his generals, your important enough to join us, if your truly loyal to the prince then come along," she told him. Lance looked at the floor then back at her win a smirk.
He got up and walked quickly with them to hurry to meet the prince. He trusted Lotor, he trusted Lotor to do the right thing for them, screw the empire, they can do so much more. Screw Voltron, if he can be formed then what was Lance needed there for them? If they haven't even tried to break him out of the 'prison' then screw them. They can do so much more.
He felt wanted here..
He liked the people he was with here sad to say, the girls liked him, Lotor made him feel good about himself. He liked these people and they liked him.
It was all he could ask for, to be treated like they would have his back, and he would gladly have theirs.
It's almost like... he was happier with the galra...
"Yea I'm coming,"
