Ice breaker
Lance yelped when he felt something cool touch his back and tried pushing himself up but cried out falling back onto a soft bed.
"Smart move," a females voice stated and Lance looked seeing the servant girl from before holding a bowl of water and cloth.
"Are you going to let me finish?" She asked and Lance took a few deep breaths regaining a steady heart beat. The galra girl gently placed the cloth on his back again and Lance stared at the ground helplessly.
"Your allowed to talk," she rolled her yellow eyes as her irises where yellow as well.
Her long purple hair was braided back in a bun as she had galra empire symbol on a long dress she wore.
"What's your name?" Lance asked putting his face in the pillow enjoying the softness. It wasn't like at the castle with stiff beds or at his dorm at garrisons where it was just spring mattresses.
"Nayla," she smiled softly.
"I work in the infirmary," she shrugged.
"Is that how Lotor knows so much on... This?" Lance motioned to the stitching on his back.
"We learned together, I'm more herbs and illnesses or disinfecting, he always was better at stitching and bandaging wounds," nayla shrugged again placing another rag on lances back.
"What are you doing now?" Lance asked confused.
"You've been asleep for a few days, had a fever, I'm breaking it, you shouldn't be ill anymore, you sweat a lot of it off," nayla explained.
"Gross,"
"Yea,"
"Thank you," Lance smiled at her and tried pushing himself up again hit felt nayla hit the back of his head and scowl at him with some galra language.
"What do you think your doing?" Nayla stood up with her hands on her hips.
"Getting up?" It was defiantly not a statement.
"Hell no, you are going no where, I don't care who you are or what you can do, if there's gashes on your back you ain't going nowhere," nayla crossed her arms glaring at him.
"Jesus..." Lance face planted into the pillow. "But I'm bored!"
"Does it look like I care?" She scoffed.
"When your more healed then you can start moving but now, you are going no where blue paladin," she sat back down and set another cloth on his lower back not caring for the small yelp escaping Lance.
"Okay okay you win, I'm staying here," Lance frowned crossing his arms under his chin.
He raised his head a little and arched his back more ignoring the pain as he looked down at his arm wrapped up, he could feel the gash still.
"Unwrap that and i will get Lotor," nayla glared seeing Lance as she had her back to him and looked over her shoulder.
"I'm not touching it!" He defended.
"Good, it'd be a shame for my hard work to go to waist," a smooth voice chuckled and the two saw Lotor entering the room.
"Hello prince Lotor," nayla nodded at him as she rang out a cloth in the bowl.
"Hello nayla, how's he doing?" Lotor walked to her.
"He whines like a kit,"
"Hey!"
"I said stay down!"
"..."
Lotor chuckled at the two seeing Lance pouting and nayla shaking her head as she switched the cloths on lances back. Lotor raised an eye brow as he looked under the rags seeing how the paladin was healing.
"So how bad is it really?" Lance asked looking at Lotor with gentle eyes.
"Your wounds are still fresh but your fever is long gone," Lotor said simply and nayla stuck out her tongue at Lance.
"Can I get up?" Lance offered.
"I don't see why not," Lotor nodded and turned his back to the human and galra while Lance stuck his tongue out at nayla.
"But the wounds!" Nayla cried out.
"The prince has spoken," Lance smirked as he pushed himself up by failed.
"God dammit!" Lance yelled annoyed.
"Nayla thank you for everything, you are dismissed," Lotor patted her shoulder and nayla smiled and left the quarters.
"Shall we get you off this bed?" Lotor smiled back at Lance offering a hand. Lance took it and felt Lotor lift him up with one hand and Lance grunted as he sat straight on the edge of the bed.
"Is... Is this your bed?" Lance asked nervously suddenly and took his hand back.
"Yes, I don't let anyone I don't trust into my quarters," Lotor sat next to him on the bed as he looked inside the wrapping on lances bare back.
"What about me?" Lance gulped not wanting to look at Lotor.
"You had a reason to be here, the room before anyone can get into unfortunately, only my generals and very very few servants are allowed," he explained gently placing the wrapping back.
"Where you serious? About letting me go back to my team one day?"
They stared at each other and Lotor nodded at him. Lance bit his lip nervously.
"What do I have to do to get there?" He asked hopeful.
"If the galra think your loyal, no one will question if you left, I've lied to my people before, I have no problem doing it again," he smirked and Lance covered his mouth smiling gently.
"So tell me about your team, what makes them so great to have Voltron at their command?" Lotor shook his head as he helped Lance up by taking both his hand to guide him to his feet.
"What? Gonna use it against me?" Lance rolled his eyes.
"I've heard it's more of a earth term, an 'ice breaker'?" Lotor offered with a shy smirk.
