*Trouble on Earth pt 2. *

I decided to split this up because the original chapter was a tad bit long and I know no one wants to read 6,000 words.

˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚

Jongho ran his hands through his hair in disbelief. "Can I just...I don't know, exist for five minutes without something going wrong?"

"That's asking a bit much, isn't it? Especially for someone that looks like yourself." Yeosang remarked.

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" Mingi held the teen back from doing anything rash with an already exhausted sigh.

"Right well, you two will be sharing a room-"

"Hyung!" Whined Jongho. "But it's my room!"

"Yah," scolded Mingi softly. "We already put up the bunk bed. The room is big enough for the two of you. I've got a lot of school work to catch up on and still have to go to the café every day, so I won't always be home to watch you all." He not so subtly turned his head towards Yunho, with the angel rolling his eyes in response.

"Can I trust you two not to destroy each other while I'm not here?" Both teenagers made direct eye contact. It was clear they didn't trust each other but Jongho didn't want to stress Mingi out any more than this situation probably was.

"Okay hyung, I'll try."

------------------------------

"He moved in with you?" Exclaimed Taehyun, slamming his book down. Jonho shushed him quickly in fear of getting in trouble with the librarian.

"Yes! Now can you not be so loud about it? I don't want to think about it any more than I need to." Jongho held his face with an almost inaudible groan. What did he do to deserve this? He looked back up when he felt Taehyun reach over and rub his back.

"Hey," he said softly. "It'll be okay Jongie. If you want, we can meet up more often and I can even come to your place to distract you from him."

"Oh please, you're only saying that because you don't want to be at home."

"No lies there." The two of them chuckled softly. They eventually fell into a comfortable rhythm of studying, exchanging notes and explaining things to one another while quietly conversing on random topics. Until Jongho realised he needed a particular book that is. He told Taehyun he'd back in a moment, to which his friend only hummed, and he went off. He wasn't sure where he was wandering to but eventually Jongho found himself towards the back of the library.

It was pretty dark and based on the large amount of dust on the books, people didn't come by very often. Jongho was just about ready to turn back yet was stopped when a hand slammed him against the wall and came crashing just above his head.

"Ah! What the hell...Yeosang?" Sure enough, the angel of swiftness was standing just above him, glaring at him intently.

"Who was that human you were with?" He asked coldly.

"Do you mean Taehyun? You met him yesterday! You shoved him off his chair, remember?" Yeosang banged his fist on the wall right before just before Jongho's face, causing him to flinch.

"Don't get smart with me!" He shouted. "Or I'll get angry," he tilted the younger teen's chin then leaned in. Their lips just brushed past each other and Jongho felt his heart ready to leap out his chest. "And you wouldn't like me when I'm angry..."

"Y-Yeosang...WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" Jongho wasted no time shoving the angel away. Yeosang groaned when his back slammed into the bookshelf and knocked down several stories while Jongho irritably watched him pick himself up.

"What's your problem?" Hissed the angel.

"What's my problem? What's yours?" Yeosang groaned and stormed back over, picking up a small pink book he had supposedly brought with him.

"I was just following this guide!" He shoved the story in Jongho's hands. Curiously, the brunette flipped through its pages before his eyes widened and he tossed the book away.

"Y-Yeosang, t-that's a hentai!" He exclaimed.

"Hentai?" Yeosang repeated strangely. He said it a few more times under his breath and Jongho groaned.

"Yes, a hentai. Where did you even find something like that?"

Yeosang shrugged at him. "Some blonde human was reading it. When he saw me come by his face turned red, tossed it at me then ran off. Either way it's been very insightful when it comes to male on male human interactions. I've categorised these two in particular by dominant and submissive based on how they act with one another. I thought it would be good practice to perform the conversation they have just before they-"

"Enough enough Yeosang!" Jongho's voice went much higher than he was expecting and he quickly ran back to his table, covering his face to hide his red cheeks.

Yeosang couldn't help but smirk. He sort of liked being able to knock Jongho down a peg and reduce him to such a state. The blonde picked up the book and dusted it off. He'd definitely be keeping this for later.

"Hey are you alright?" Taehyun worriedly asked his friend when he returned and saw his flustered expression. Jongho, whose face was still bright red, nodded, uselessly hiding behind a book. However it was to no avail as the other student narrowed his eyes at him then simply tossed the book away. "What's the matter with you?"

"Shhhh!" Hushed the librarian, and Taehyun was quick to lower his tone.

"N-Nothing...just drop it..." Taehyun could tell his stuttering friend was lying but left it regardless. Even still, he rested a comforting hand on Jongho's shoulder and smiled. Sure, Tae could be a bit of a prick sometimes but he was a prick with a heart.

"What do you think you're doing? That's mine!"

This bastard on the other hand...

Jongho shot up, ready to sprint right out of the library when he heard the angel's voice, even though he knew he would be caught in an instant. Taehyun flinched when Yeosang suddenly appeared from almost nowhere, glaring at him from just over Jongho's shoulder.

"This," Yeosang yanked the demon back. "Is mine." He spat. "Find your own, human."

"Human?" Muttered Taehyun incredulously. "What the hell is wrong with you? And let go of him will you!" Yeosang's grip on Jongho's shoulder tightened, causing the younger to reel back from the pain.

"No. Didn't you understand when I said that this is mine? Wow, stupid and deaf. Is this really who you choose to spend your time with Jongho? What a waste of space this one is." Jongho was fine with Yeosang insulting him, but he wouldn't stand for him doing the same for Taehyun.

The other freshman was actually surprised by this insult and almost a bit hurt. Even if he tried to hide it, Yeosang could still see his words affected him and continued with a smirk.

"Look at you, I wouldn't be surprised if you were from the streets with that attitude. Did eomma and appa not teach you manners? Or were they never around in the first place."

That was it. Jongho took the hand on his right and twisted it before grabbing the distracted angel and tossing him over his shoulder. Yeosang grunted in pain once he hit the wooden table.

While he groaned, Jongho hastily ushered his friend away and they rushed out of the library. He had pulled Taehyun a good distance away before the other teen finally had enough of him yanking his arm. "Jongho!" He finally shouted.

"My bad..." Jongho replied sheepishly.

Taehyun rubbed his now sore wrist with a light groan but soon waved it off. "Don't worry about it," he muttered. "So, that's Kang Yeosang huh? I didn't think it was possible but he makes my home life look like sunshine and rainbows by comparison."

"Thanks," Responded Jongho sarcastically. He huffed and slid down into one of the benches by the main path. Taehyun joined him. The other freshman tapped his fingers together then pushed his hair behind his ear, clearing his throat.

"Thanks by the way..." He muttered.

Jongho looked up at him curiously. "For what?" He asked.

"For like...I don't know, helping me? Or whatever...I forget sometimes that you're stupid strong and could literally body anyone you want, but only doing it to help someone...or...me. It's dumb, but you're a great friend Jongho."

The young demon found himself becoming rather flustered at this confession and sat up straight. Taehyun snickered at the blush on Jongho's cheeks, only making him even more flushed. "Yah," He grumbled. "I could say the same for you. We made it through the system together after all, I don't know where I'd be without you."

They smiled at one another. "Foster friends!" They cheered simultaneously with grins.

Little did they know the very person they ran from was standing on the roof of the library building, glaring down at them. Yeosang didn't know what it was, but he didn't like Jongho spending so much time with this human. He was so bothersome. The angel was sure he still wanted to kill Jongho yet didn't want his eyes on anyone but him. Why was that?

Regardless, Yeosang knew for a fact that he hated Taehyun with a passion and he was going to do whatever it takes to stop him from interfering with his mission - whether it be killing Jongho, or keeping him for himself.

------------------------------

The next day Jongho was silently getting ready for school. His eyes occasionally travelled to the angel watching his every movement but he'd soon avert his gaze at the creepy encounter. That didn't stop Yeosang from staring at everything he did though.

Thanks to Yeosang's speed, he was able to get ready in record, leaving him plenty of time to watch Jogho as he went through his usual routine. "Could you not!" Jongho finally shouted.

"Could I not what?"

"Watch me! It's super creepy!" He huffed while he straightened out his shirt. Yeosang rolled his eyes and only leaned in closer to annoy him.

"It's my job, is it not?" He remarked.

"You're pretty sucky at it." Jongho wasn't prepared when Yeosang suddenly picked him up and slammed him against the wall.

"Take it back," growled the angel.

"Make me!" Jongho spat back. He pushed Yeosang away, just about ready to punch his lights out when he remembered what Mingi had said. Reluctantly, the young demon grumbled his annoyances under his breath and carried on getting ready.

Since he had no clothes other than the ones he arrived with, Yeosang had to borrow some. At this rate Mingi didn't have any clothes of his own because everyone one else in the house kept taking his. Yeosang, dressed in a pink turtleneck, jeans and white converse, found himself rather snug with the look, despite him claiming he wanted to look like a "bad boy".

"Bad boy?" Sputtered Jongho while they walked into the kitchen. "What the heck do you mean by that?"

"You, know, I gotta be a bad boy, I'm going to be a bad boy~" Explained the angel, doing a little dance with.

"It's been three days, how do you already know who Rain is?" Jongho was interrupted by the heavenly smell of food coming from the kitchen. He raced in, in awe at the table of various treats laying about. Pancakes, croissants, muffins - it was paradise! He was shocked to find that Yunho was actually the one making them.

"I didn't know you could cook." Said Jongho to the older angel, still in wonder. Yunho turned to him with an ever so slight grin.

"Nor did I," he responded. "However I figured I would be a useful skill to learn while here since Earth has so many treats one cannot find in Heaven! Feel free to take as much as you please." Like a kid in a candy store, Jongho's eyes lit up and he immediately went to throw as much as possible into his backpack.

"How nice of you to feed your superiors," Yunho stopped dead in his tracks. Both Yeosang and Jongho flinched when all the lights in the room began to flicker.

"I change my mind," Yunho stated coldly. "You can't have anything." He said towards Yeosang. "I do not know who you are fooling, but you are no one's superior and certainly not mine. Trained under an archangel or not, you shall refer to me as either hyung or sunbaenim. Is that understood?" When Yeosang responded with a short but reluctant nod, Yunho calmed himself down, with the lights reverting back to normal as well.

"You two should be on your way, I assume you will be using public transport?"

"Um...Yeah...We'll be taking the bus." The angel nodded at them then bid them farewell as they made their way out the door. Yunho seemed more lively nowadays, at least in terms of expressing basic human emotions. It was almost strange seeing him smile or really do anything that wasn't looking bored or stoic. Jongho was happy to see it though. It definitely made being around him much less unnerving.

As they walked to the stop and even boarded the bus, Yeosang had remained oddly silent. Jongho much preferred it this way so he didn't comment. He however did start to feel concerned when noticed that his angelic companion was completely rigid once the bus started moving. He had his head facing his lap and hands desperately clutching his knees. "Hey," Jongho called softly. Yeosang slowly lifted his face towards him, light tears threatening to spill from his eyes. "Hey, don't worry about what Yunho said, really."

"It's not that," Yeosang's voice was soft and shaky. "I mean...it is...but it's also this...vehicle." There was a bit of a long pause between his words while he gathered his breath. "I've never been in such a cold environment, something so...unfeeling and cramped. I can feel everything in life...but...but there's nothing here..." The tears finally started to stream down his pale cheeks and Yeosang quickly turned away to hide his flushed face.

He flinched when he suddenly felt a hand on his. Yeosang slowly turned back towards Jongho, who gave him a soft smile. He wanted to yank his hand away, he wanted to do it so badly but he just couldn't. It was so comforting.

"No no no!" The angel thought to himself. "I have to kill him! I can't feel like this!"

"It's dumb isn't it?" Said the angel quietly. "Feeling so weak in such a simple situation. I'm superior, yet can't ride a bus."

"No one's superior to anyone Yeosang and it's okay to be scared of things. We all have fears, it's just what makes us who we are." Yeosang wanted to smack that sweet smile off his face. That perfect smile that just made him feel so warm and fuzzy inside...

He wanted to burn in.

"It's odd having someone correct me like that, or correct me at all for that matter."

"I take it you've been pretty isolated?"

"From society perhaps, but I have always been surrounded by other angels. We rode in chariots and flew through the heavens together, learning of the different aspects and wonders of our world." Yeosang found himself more relaxed throughout the remainder of the ride, managing to distract himself by telling Jongho of his life in Heaven. Jongho found it all fascinating and hung onto every word.

It was something Yeosang noticed. He paid attention. He cared. It fueled something in Yeosang but he couldn't tell if it was his desire to see Jongho dead or become closer to him. Either way, he found himself enjoying the feeling.

"Jongho..." The angel peeped once the bus arrived at their school. "Would it be possible to not take the bus from now?"

"Of course Yeosang." Jongho wiped the remaining tears from the taller teenager's face then smiled up at him. His attention was quickly taken off him however, when someone called out the young brunette.

"Jongho!" Just like that, Yeosang's face fell into a scowl. Jongho grinned and raced to meet his friend, leaving the angel alone. Yeosang's fingers grazed the area that Jongho had touched with a soft smile. It was...nice. Yet his attention was stolen so quickly that Yeosang didn't get a chance to thank him. Who was it taken by?

"Taehyun." His name alone had Yeosang seething. Perhaps he was a test. Part of his mission that Taemin sent for him to eliminate. Of course. Why else would he be feeling so vexed?

It was all too late when the young angel realised that he was all alone. Jongho had left with Taehyun and had no classes with him for the first few hours of the day. Swarmed by students that were each rushing past him with little to no regard, Yeosang slowly felt the world around him begin to close. Why was everyone in such a big crowd? Where was the unity or the order? Nothing made sense!

Yeosang closed his eyes, getting shoved and shouted at to "Move out the way" and to "Get to class". He was starting to wonder which was the real test, watching over Jongho, or surviving high school. "This must be what Hell is like..." He muttered allowed. When the angel reopened his eyes, he let out a breath of relief seeing that the world had slowed down. Which could only mean he was going faster than they could keep up. Yeosang smiled to himself. Sprinting through the building, he quickly found his way onto the school's roof, where everything returned to normal.

The school roof had a lovely view. One could see from the courtyard or peek just over the walls keeping them all in. There were plenty of birds singing, flying around effortlessly with the light breeze sweeping through the area. It was all beautiful.

"I hate Earth..." Yeosang grumbled. He felt around his back for the wings he so desperately longed for yet they were nowhere to be found. "What's life if I can't even fly?" He felt patronised under the gaze of the birds soaring through the air. Mocking him.

What was even the point in being here?

"Yeosang!" A sudden voice beckoned the angel's attention. With a face full of worry, Jongho raced over to him and cupped his face. Yeosang was understandably startled by this random action and slowly went to remove the younger's hands.

"What?" He said coldly.

"Someone said you had a seizure in the hallway! You were twitching and flopping back and forth! Are you alright?" Yeosang, still confused, raised his brow at the demon. It took a few moments but he finally understood what had happened and even chuckled at it.

"I'm fine. I was just moving faster than everyone around me. From an outsider's perspective I can understand why it would look like something was wrong." He then smirked at Jongho and leaned forward. "Why? Were you worried about me?"

Jongho groaned at him and pushed his face away. "Duh, if something happened to you Mingi would probably have a heart attack." Yeosang only hummed at this response, looking Jongho up and down before leaning in yet again. "Yah!" He was stopped when Jongho put his hand to his face. "Do you like me or hate me, make up your mind! I swear you wanted me dead the other day..."

"I still do." This man was so confusing. As off putting as Jongho found his duality, Yeosang seemed to be just as puzzled by his feelings as well. "Tell me, if I want to see you all the time, want you near me at every second of the day and don't want you around others...does that mean I like you?"

Jongho went silent. His expression was unreadable to Yeosang, which scared him. So he backtracked almost immediately. "Maybe I'm over analyzing things. Perhaps it's normal to feel this way towards targets...this is my first time after all..."

The brunette clicked his tongue. Clearly he had something on his mind yet was just reluctant to say what it actually was. So instead of actually saying anything, Jongho only cocked his head to the side and looked off into the distance. His sudden silence didn't sit well with Yeosang, who was still awaiting some sort of answer. "Yah..."

"Hm?"

"Why aren't you saying anything?"

Jongho shrugged at him. "I guess I just don't have a clear answer for you. I've never really liked anyone. Well, I got married in primary school, but that doesn't really count."

"What was his name?" Yeosang nearly growled.

"She, and it doesn't matter. It was all make believe anyway." Jongho shrugged yet again before sighing. "And you? Have you ever been in love?"

Yeosang wasn't sure. Love was such a strong word and showing intense displays of emotion was often frowned upon in heaven. So even if he did fall in love, he would've suppressed it at all costs. "As if I know. Quite being so curious, would you?"

"Well fine, sorry for asking," Grumbled Jongho. He stood to his feet with his back turned to the angel, but Yeosang still managed to see his frown. "Now come on, we should get to class."

"Wait..." Jongho felt a tug on his sleeve, and looked down to see Yeosang glancing down. "Stay here...with me?"

Yeosang was surprised when Jongho actually sat back beside him. The younger didn't say anything. He only turned his attention back to the horizon but Yeosang didn't really mind. He liked just having him next to him.

------------------------------

After hours of searching online, Yunho was sure he had enough cooking knowledge to create his own restaurant. He had taken so many notes he had nearly filled an entire notebook. All he wanted to do now was close his eyes and think. "You've been busy." A voice chuckled.

The angel turned around and smiled. "Hello Mingi." Mingi smiled back at him and handed him the cup of coffee he had walked in with. He sat down on the edge of his bed which was just opposite his desk and leaned into his hand while Yunho took a sip of the caffeine filled drink.

"What are you up to?"

"I thought I would try my hand at cooking. Having a record of my findings is very important, so as I research I'm keeping them in this journal."

Mingi hummed at him. He looked impressed by the amount of work he had gotten done, not at all bothered by the scattered papers on his desk. "Oh, and by the way, how is the search for those demons coming?"

Yunho paused. In truth he had stopped looking for them. He had gotten so distracted that he had nearly forgotten about them completely. By what? Mingi of course. The college student was sitting in front of him with his now faded hair pushed to the side, exposing his forehead, and a smile so infectious that Yunho couldn't help but grin back. He was truly the most beautiful person he had seen in his life.

"They are...tricky...It has definitely been a challenge locating them."

"Well don't worry, I know you can do it. I believe in you Yunnie!" Mingi did little jazz hands with a bright smile and it was like someone had sent a spear through Yunho's heart. In a good way. The angel turned away to clutch his bright red face.

"Mingi..." He heard him grunt as he flopped onto the queen sized bed with a satisfied sigh.

"I wanna curl into a ball and sleep forever," Muttered the brunette. Mingi tiredly removed his shirt and threw it across the room. "I need to take a week off school, all this work is killing me..."

It was as if he was trying to kill the poor man. Yunho turned away yet again, swearing to God that he may just explode if he so much as glanced at the human's exposed chest.

Mingi slid under the covers, tired and ready to sleep for the remainder of the day. His eyes slowly blinked open when he felt the mattress shift. "Yunho?"

"I...figured I'd join you...if that's alright?" Yunho was expecting him to just turn away. It was quite the opposite. Instead Mingi pulled Yunho into his arms and snuggled up to his chest.

"Your heart is beating so fast," Mingi giggled.

"I-Is it?"

"And you stuttered! It's cute." Cute? He found Yunho...cute? Why did he feel so fluttery at that? No matter how hard he tried, Yunho couldn't fight the smile curling on his lips. Yet, he sort of liked it. He liked having Mingi in his arms like this.

He didn't get the chance to let him know though, as Mingi had fallen asleep in his arms soon after. "Sleep well Mingi. You truly are the real angel here..."

Yunho's eyes slowly drifted closed, but they slowly crept back open when he felt something disturbing. He couldn't quite figure out what it was, but he knew something was wrong.

˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚

I thought I'd end on a bit of Yungi because I'm seriously soft for them sometimes. Don't worry, we'll get back to the messy ones, i.e. Woosan and Seongjoong, after this chapter.
