*I Hate It Here*

It has come to my attention that I have made a grave mischaracterisation in making Wooyoung a nice person and I deeply apologise for this mistake.

˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚

Teenagers are mean. It's something everyone's known since the beginning of time. They're mean in Heaven, they're mean in Hell and they're especially mean on Earth.

San never had much experience with demons his own age. Most were in containment, as place demons were sent after birth to learn how to control their powers to the best of their abilities. San had skipped this stage of his life. He wasn't sure how but all he remembered was leaving and not wanting to go back at a very young age. Thus, he spent much of his time with older demons, which usually came down too to main two groups: responsible and dangerously chaotic (no surprise which one San preferred and picked up his habits from).

Not to say he didn't know any teens, he just wasn't as familiar with them. Due to skipping containment, and despite Hongjoong and Seonghwa's best efforts, the chaos demon also suffered from a lack of control and true understanding of his powers, making many wary of him.

Recently, things have been very normal. To most that was a rather nice thing but for San, it was torture. He had sworn off using his powers for chaos after coming out to Wooyoung as a demon, as he didn't want to scare him anymore than he already had. Originally, he had planned to just let things go as usual, something would happen eventually that gave him a spike in power.

So he waited, and waited, and waited. Nothing. After a few days he started to get antsy. A power outage, as demons call them, can go several ways. For demons of darkness, like Seonghwa, it's a downward spiral of extreme exhaustion. Demons of fire, like Hongjoong, will freeze to death or simply burn out, the speed at which depending on the environment.

In San's case, he tends to lash out and reacts to most things at the extreme until he eventually can't handle his pent up powers and quite literally combust. That being said, he's never had to experience a near power outage since he's always lived in a controlled environment catered to his powers.

However Earth doesn't necessarily meet those requirements.

So this, plus unforgiving teens equals:

"What do you mean I'm being put on warning?"

"You heard me. You've been on my watch list for ages and now I've finally caught you!" San grumbled his dismay under his breath, which the other student found great satisfaction in. "Smoking is not prohibited on school grounds Park-Kim, I'll be taking this to the student council if it's all the same to you."

The demon rolled his eyes and irritably stomped the cigarette out under his foot. It wasn't like he smoked regularly at school, he just wanted to try it out. Smoking didn't actually do anything to San seeing as he was immune to all its effects. He just liked being able to make smoke come out of his mouth. "Oh come on Yeonjun, you know full well that there's a whole group of boys that spend second period smoking in the bathroom. Why are you only on my case?"

The pink-haired senior tsked at him. "Ratting out your comrades now, are you? Not very admirable of you."

"Those guys aren't my friends," San pressed. They had steered clear of him since their last encounter. Which was for the best. San didn't have to waste any energy on them and they got to stay alive. It was a win-win. Either way, Yeonjun wasn't going to let up.

That was how San found himself sitting in the principal's office instead of having a break. The entire time as he was being scolded, he sat there with his arms crossed and a rather bored expression on his face. He was let off with a warning and was told that they'd be contacting his fathers, which was the only part that had him worried. "What? That's it?" Exclaimed Yeonjun in disbelief after they left the office.

But San was shaking. In fact, he was terrified. "You got off easy Park-Kim, but mark my words I'll expose you!"

"I swear to God Jun, you need to relax sometimes," Both teens turned to see Wooyoung coming down the hall and in their direction. "I swear, you only show up to cause problems."

"O-Oh! Wooyoung, what are you doing here?" Stammered Yeonjun, a light blush creeping across his face.

"I'm here to pick up Sannie of course." Wooyoung chuckled as he went to pull San into a hug. The older teen giggled and brought Wooyoung's arms around his waist. Amongst their little interaction, the Woosan couple had just about forgotten that Yeonjun was there, and his mouth was wide open.

"S-So...you two are dating now?" He stuttered, almost in dejection.

"Where did you get that idea?" Asked Wooyoung while laying his head on San's shoulder and lightly stroked his dark hair. Yeonjun's eye practically twitched and he looked as though he was resisting the urge to throttle someone.

Eventually he was tired of their cute antics and turned away. "Whatever, like I care. Why are you hanging out with him of all people anyway?" Spat the pinkette as he sent an accusing glare San's way. "Don't you have rich dudes to suck off or something?"

"I-I..." San clenched his jaw, feeling that Wooyoung had buried himself further into his shoulder in rising shame.

Yeonjun stopped suddenly when he noticed the lights above him begin to flicker. Someone must be messing with them, he thought, but there was no one else in the hall. He turned around to question the duo behind them, only to be shoved to the ground immediately. "What did you say to him?" Growled San while holding the younger down by his neck. Yeonjun clawed at his hands trying to get free yet San hardly moved. It only made him tighten his grip.

"Say something like that to him again and I'll drag you to the deepest pits of Hell! Do you understand?" The demon was yanked away before he could do any damage to the terrified soul in front of him to be faced with Wooyoung clinging to him desperately.

"Please calm down Sannie," He whispered. San huffed irritably yet couldn't bring himself to do anything. The demon only rested his head on Wooyoung's shoulder as his breath slowly evened out. Yeonjun watched the ordeal from afar, his chest still rising up and down from less than moments ago. He didn't waste time scampering away and sprinting out of the hall.

What the hell was that? The teen could've sworn he was staring at the Devil himself.

------------------------------

Jongho flinched when a hand suddenly slammed down in front of him. The freshman yelped, earning a shush from the librarian. "What the hell Yeonjun?" He hissed irritably. Ignoring his grievances, Yeonjun pushed the younger boy's books aside and placed himself in front of him, staring at him intently and suddenly making Jongho extremely uncomfortable with the ordeal.

"Tell me everything you know about Park-Kim San," Yeonjun demanded. Jongho, still taken aback by his sudden appearance, scoffed.

"The Satan child? If you're so pressed then why don't you just ask him yourself? Isn't it your job to know everything about everyone?" Jongho went to retrieve his book however Yeonjun smacked it out of his hands.

"That's why I need to know about him!" He continued. "He's a menace! He strangled me, he's corrupting Wooyoung and worse, he was smoking on campus!"

"Really, that's where you draw the line?" The brunette picked up his story yet again only to have it meet the same fate as last time when Yeonjun hit it away.

"Regardless, you need to give me something. His parents are coming to school to meet with one of the teachers and that's the perfect opportunity to get him out of here!" Jongho furrowed his brow at his hyung for a bit. Was he really so angry that he wanted to get San kicked out?

Fine by him.

------------------------------

San nervously awaited for his dad to arrive at his school. Other than a few late-working teachers and students staying for clubs, there weren't too many people left in the halls. One of which being Yeonjun, whom he saw exciting the teacher's classroom earlier with a shit eating grin San really wanted to smack off his face.

Hongjoong needed to close up the café, leaving San a bit of time to figure out what to do. He was really banking on Seonghwa being able to come, but he left the previous day and hadn't been back since. It was worrying, especially since his father usually left a note if he was going to be out for a long time. In terms of this situation however, he was hoping Seonghwa could come and clear things up since he could be much more understanding (and possibly treat San to ice cream afterwards).

Of course, Hongjoong could be equally as understanding, if not more than Seonghwa at times, but what San was really worried about was him somehow finding out he's been using his powers in school. His father had warned him that he'd be furious and San really didn't want to see that.

While he tried his best to come up with some sort of plan, San heard the classroom door swing open. "San, is your father here yet?" The teacher asked.

"Um no, not yet. He'll be here in a bit though." Replied San.

"Fine, then come in so long, won't you?" San entered the room slowly and sat down at the same pace. Mr Lee, his teacher from second period, sat with his hand laced under his chin while a stern look was rested across his face. San knew for a fact that he didn't like him, so he wasn't going to have any trouble retelling everything to Hongjoong in explicit and possibly false detail.

"These are some very serious claims," He told the student. "Initially, you were only being called in for smoking, however now, I have evidence to show that an expulsion may be in order." San's eyes went wide. What could he have done to deserve being expelled? "I have received reports from various students recounting your multiple aggressions towards them. It's been said that you forced a group of boys to plunge themselves in the toilets, threatened to hurt another, going as far to hold them against the lockers of the changing room and as recently as yesterday you had strangled a student."

Oh right.

Truth be told, San tended to forget about things like that a few hours after they happen. It wasn't like it was that bad. "All in all, I'll be retelling this to your father."

"No you won't." San said suddenly.

Mr Lee eyed him suspiciously. "Oh? And why is that?"

The demon began to snicker, making his teacher reel back. He flinched suddenly when the air became cool and lights above began to die down. He was too distracted to notice San reach for his throat and clamp his hands around his neck. "Shhh," He hushed. "You won't remember a thing, trust me."

Around five minutes later Hongjoong entered the room, muttering his apology along the way. "I'm sorry I'm so late. I thought my husband was going to come and then there was traffic on the way."

"No worries," Said Mr Lee with a smile. "I've been speaking with San in the meantime and he seems to have accepted what he's done." He gestured towards the teen whose head hung low. Hongjoong was obviously a bit confused since he was never told what the actual issue was. "San, care to tell him what you did?"

"Sorry Dad," Muttered San. Hongjoong sat himself next to his son with his arms crossed while he awaited his explanation. "I was smoking and skipped class."

"Sannie," Hongjoong sighed.

"No need to worry Mr Park-Kim, he explained to me that it was only because he couldn't find my classroom and has attended every lesson since then. However, I'll have to issue a warning for smoking since it is against school policy. He'll be serving two weeks of detention."

"I see, is that all? Nothing else we should speak about?" Inquired Hongjoong. The teacher hummed in thought. For a split second he looked confused, like he was missing something. However San was able to erase that with just one glance.

"I wouldn't say so. I apologise for wasting your time Mr Park-Kim." Hongjoong sighed but still sent Mr Lee a respectful smile.

"I suppose it's alright. Have a good day then, come on San."

The ride back home wasn't as silent as San was expecting. The moment they got into the car Hongjoong asked: "Was that really it?" San was somewhat hoping he'd just sweep all this under the rug and not ask any questions but it seemed Hongjoong knew better.

"Yeah. Sorry you had to come all the way out here..."

"I had to pick you up anyways, didn't I?" Chuckled Hongjoong just as he started the engine. San snickered along but something started to irk him.

"I thought father was meant to come get me. Where is he?" When he said that, San noticed that Hongjoong's hands began to tense around the steering wheel while he tried his best to avoid eye contact.

"He's just out..." He muttered in response yet San managed to see through this.

"Dad..."

"I'm not sure where he is," Hongjoong finally admitted. He let out a shaky sigh and laid his head against the steering wheel in dismay. San's eyes widened at the sudden state his father was in. The chaos demon went to hug him almost instantly while Hongjoong failed to hide his frustration.

After a few moments San whispered: "Is...Is father going to come back?" Hongjoong sighed yet again and turned to his son. He could see the confusion on his face and he knew he didn't want to worry him any further. So he gave San a slight smile and gently tucked the teen's dark hair behind his ear so could see more of his face.

"Yes Sannie, he'll be back in no time." Though it sounded like Hongjoong was telling himself that as well. San slid in his seat once his dad finally pulled out of the school's parking lot. His mind right to work conscrewing the situation and filling in the gaps with wild possibilities. Seonghwa wouldn't leave them, not so suddenly. Why would he do this? Was it San's fault?

"It's my fault...isn't it?" Hongjoong nearly slammed his foot on the break in surprise, but managed to hold himself together. "I did something he told me not to...now he's gone..."

"Sannie," His dad said seriously yet gently. "No matter what happens between your father and I, it will never be your fault. Understand? You are not at fault." Even with that, San still couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. Hongjoong noticed him staring aimlessly out of the window for the better part of the journey back home and figured he should do something to lift his spirits. "Hey, how about some ice cream? I'll get you any flavour you want."

The teen perked up at that and nodded his head eagerly. "Even if it's mint chocolate?" Hongjoong gagged at this request.

"If you want to eat toothpaste that's fine by me."

"Dad, did you ever consider that maybe mint chocolate doesn't taste like toothpaste, but toothpaste just tastes like mint chocolate?" That was how an hour long conversation on the matter arose during their trip to and back from the ice cream parlor, with San getting his requested mint chocolate and Hongjoong going for plain vanilla.

The next day San made his way into school with Hongjoong having dropped him off. It was a bit strange since it was usually Seonghwa who did it in the morning and Hongjoong had to rush to take him and then go open the cafe. San found himself frustrated, angry even, by the fact. Where the hell was his father? The more he thought about the idea of Seonghwa leaving them the more irritated he became.

The lights of the hallway flickered on and off while San stalked through, some bursting in the process. Students in his proximity felt a sudden headache come on and one dropped to the ground. Lockers trembled and the atmosphere was tense. The teen growled lowly at anyone who dared make eye contact with him. He was breaking, shaking with the urge to cause any sort of pain or anarchy. All he needed was one thing and-

"Sannie!" Wooyoung exclaimed when San entered the classroom. Just like that it was like San's entire world brightened. His cloudy vision instantly cleared as if Wooyoung was the sun itself and he happily skipped over. "Are you okay? You seem a bit pissed..."

"Oh yeah, I'm perfectly fine." He gave Wooyoung a smile, but he wasn't buying it for a second.

"Talk with me after school." He demanded.

"Wooyoungie~" Whined San, pressing up against his friend.

"Yah! Then tell me now? What's wrong?"

San went silent. "Alright, let's talk later..." The demon lowered his gaze, suddenly a bit embarrassed by his issue and at the now worried expression on Wooyoung's face. About a minute later Jongho walked in, offering his usual greetings.

"Whore," he sneered towards Wooyoung.

"Orphan."

Jongho rolled his eyes and glanced at San. "Hell spawn,"

"Dead to me." Upon hearing his frighteningly deep voice, a few students turned in their direction with their eyes wide. Even Wooyoung was taken aback. Yet San hardly acknowledged any of them. His eyes were fixated on Jongho, a look of violence radiating from his glowing purple eyes that, even with his contacts still shined through. He wanted to release his energy. No.

He needed to

"The satisfaction I'll from ripping you to shreds." San growled in Jongho's mind. The younger teen flinched back. His head was screaming at him to move back but his body just refused to move.

"Alright students, get to your seats." San snapped right back to his senses when the teacher made her way into the classroom. He had released Jongho from his grip and collapsed to his desk within seconds. Wooyoung caught him before he fell while Jongho ran to the furthest seat away from the duo possible.

So much energy but I can't even use any of it...

San thought to himself while he laid in Wooyoung's arms. Still, though his body was painfully tense he felt himself relax in Wooyoung's arms as he shushed him and stroked his head.

Towards the end of the next day, featuring little to no conflict, San received a text from his dad giving him permission to fly home since he'd have to stay in a bit late. The demon sighed to himself, knowing full well he wouldn't be able to handle flying right now. "You going to tell me what's wrong now? You never told me yesterday." Questioned Wooyoung once they arrived at the gate of the school. He had waited for the other while he was in detention.

"Only if you come to my place today." San replied with a smirk. Though Wooyoung rolled his eyes he happily nodded along.

"Are one of your dads picking you up? Maybe I can ride with you." San tensed.

"Umm..." Wooyoung seemed to sense that he was dodging the question.

"Don't worry about it! Let's just take the bus."

Something about public transport, the bus more specifically, made San extremely uneasy. Perhaps it was him losing control of his own powers, but he could hear everyone's thoughts. The minds of each individual person laying there for him to take over, all screaming at the top of their lungs for him to make a move. The teen was stiff as a board, scared to move in fear of taking over someone's body. "Sannie, are you okay?" Asked Wooyoung. San responded with a rather curt nod, keeping his arms locked in his lap with his head facing the ground. Wooyoung could very clearly see that he was feeling anxious, San had hardly said a word since they entered the vehicle.

He wrapped his arm around his friend and wordlessly brought him close to his chest. San felt himself slowly begin to calm down. It was like Wooyoung had this power over him, like he could tame whatever it was San was dealing with, with a single touch alone. The demon focussed on nothing but Wooyoung's heartbeat for the rest of the ride until they made it back to his home.

"Father?" San called once the duo entered the living room. No reply. He was still gone. San cursed under his breath. "Hey, let's go to the roof." He suggested once he turned to Wooyoung with a smirk.

"Umm sure, but how are we supposed to get- Whoa!" Wooyoung gasped when San pulled him into the air and straddled him in his arms. The younger teen clung to San in shock but soon blushed at the action.

"How cute." With Wooyoung in his hold, San flew through the back door and up to the roof of his house. This area in particular was rather flat, giving them the space to sit. Though they were on solid ground, Wooyoung still clung to San. "Aw Wooyoungie, are you afraid of heights?"

"What? No! D-Don't be stupid! You just caught me off guard, t-that's all..." San chuckled at Wooyoung's pout and they both sat down cross legged together. There was a slight breeze, making San shiver, so he practically threw himself on the blonde's lap for warmth, laying his head on his leg while Wooyoung wrapped his arm around him. "What's been on your mind Sannie? You've been down..."

If only you could see what goes on in there, you'd run and never look back.

"It's my father...He hasn't come back home yet..."

"Did...You know...Did he go and get milk?" San glanced up at Wooyoung curiously before shrugging.

"I don't think so. He doesn't really like milk and it wouldn't take this long...maybe he got lost at the store?"

"I...Nevermind. Don't worry Sannie, I know he'll be back in no time." Wooyoung said optimistically. San grinned and nodded at him.

"Did you know I have a puppy?" The demon stated randomly.

Wooyoung giggled and simply went along with it. "Aww, really? What's his name?"

"Shiber," Grinned San. "He's the cutest little fluff ball there is! I had to leave him back in Hell though..." He sighed and sat up, with Wooyoung frowning at the loss of contact. "I wonder if I'll ever see him again."

"I'm sure you will," Wooyoung smiled. "You're an amazing person, you know that Sannie? I know that's a little out of the blue, but it's true! You're incredible, and I'm so glad we're friends." He sent San yet another smile, and that's when he felt it. His heartbeat raging in his chest, as if it were going to burst. That was when he decided.

Jung Wooyoung, you're mine, and I'll never let you go. Not for a single second, not for the rest of eternity.

Everything his dad's had taught him, manners, control, consent, it was slowly fading away because of him. All because Jung Wooyoung was here, smiling at him. San wanted, no, he needed him in his life. He felt himself leaning towards Wooyoung, his eyes trailing towards those perfect lips of his. Wooyoung, noticing his slow movements leaned forward as well. His gaze fixated on San's beautiful purple eyes. Their faces were just inches apart when-

Wooyoung's phone rang. The younger yanked himself back and pulled out his phone with wide eyes. "Shit, it's my mom. Eomma!" San couldn't believe this. His hand twitched by his side while Wooyoung spoke to his mother. He was painfully resisting the urge to grab him by the throat and force their lips together.

What are you waiting for?

I'm not going to do it! I'll hurt him.

Who cares? Do it. Do it now. You know you want to.

I can't! He'll be scared of me, I don't want that!

Even if he is, you can change that, can't you? You have him right here, you never have to let him go. He's yours. He belongs to you. Show him that. Do it. Do it. DO IT! DO IT NOW-

"Sannie, could you bring me down? I have to go home." San snapped his head towards Wooyoung. The younger flinched back when he saw the crazed look in his eyes.

No no no! Look what you've done.

I did nothing, it was all you. Don't let him get away. You'll regret it and he will never be yours.

"Sure Woo, I'll drop you off at the bus stop."

You're going to break one day. Stop ignoring me and let me out before I break out.

------------------------------

San covered his ears. He could still hear them arguing. After an entire week, Seonghwa had only just gotten home and got into conflict with Hongjoong immediately. Despite his discomfort, his powers were surging inside of him from the chaotic high he got from their fight. He growled and punched the wall in frustration, leaving a hole behind.

This wasn't the kind of chaos he wanted to enjoy, yet his body said otherwise. Things had been so calm that only the smallest bit of tension sent him off and San just couldn't deal with it. His body was begging for release while his mind was slowly filling with more and more destructive thoughts. He needed a distraction and quick. "Hello?" A tired voice muttered through the phone a moment of scrolling through contacts.

"W-Wooyoung," San's voice came out as a low growl, the rest of his body shaking uncontrollably. "Woo, I need help."

Now fully awake Wooyoung quickly asked what was wrong. "My Dads are fighting." San sniffed.

"Aw Sannie, it'll be okay-"

"No you don't understand!" He snapped. "I...I like it. Fuck, I love it. I haven't felt so good since the alleyway." That set off several alarms in Wooyoung's head. Unsure of what to do, he let San continue. "Wooyoung I can feel my powers begging to get out. I don't want to like it, but I do. I like it so fucking much."

San started to chuckle, his voice becoming deep and distorted, almost sinister. "If it stays bottled up like this, I might just snap!" He giggled. "Hell, I might kill someone!"

Wooyoung knew he was way in over his head when San came out to him as a demon. He wasn't sure what to do. So the teen decided to improvise. "Sannie," he said carefully. His tone was low and even in an attempt to calm his friend. "Listen to my voice."

"O-Okay...I'm listening."

For the rest of the night, Wooyoung spent hours whispering sweet nothings into San's ear in order to calm him down. He even got him to giggle at some point which was a success in his eyes. Even as San began to drift asleep, Wooyoung kept his line open just to be sure he was truly okay.

He let out a happy sigh as he heard San snore lightly through the phone. "Sannie?" Wooyoung whispered. There was no response. "I hope you're alright when you wake up. I know I'm not a demon and don't know a whole lot about your past or powers. But...I'm willing to stand by your side while we figure things out...together because...because I really like you San."

Wooyoung found himself smiling and shook his head. "God...I really hope you're asleep."

That was a bit long lol. I'm only just realising it's been like three chapters since I did Woosan. They'll get their time again later though ;3
