Note: I changed the beginning of the last chapter, so if you want to see a good two minutes of Yeosang not being an asshole there you go.

And I also want to clarify that this chapter, the previous one and the next one all take place in the same day <3

˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚˙༓࿇༓˙˚

Yunho wasn't often the type to seek advice. For the most part, he thought it should be within his capabilities to solve whatever issues he had all on his own. Yet there he sat. A cup of tea in his hand, his gaze down cast and a fire demon sitting across from him. Never did he think he would come to ask a creature meant to be his adversary for help with an emotion he was never meant to experience. Yet here he was. In the home of two demons.

What he thought would be met with ridicule received a soft grin and a relaxing proposal from the older supernatural. Though he was shocked, it was a response Yunho welcomed. "I'm not sure where to start..."

"Take your time. I've got all day. Or, until Seonghwa gets back." Yunho nearly smiled at that. It was, of course, a jab at the way Seonghwa despised him, but he enjoyed the way Hongjoong never failed to consider his partner's feelings. "Let's start with something simple. How do you feel towards Mingi?"

"I feel..." It wasn't hard for him to get his thoughts clear on the matter, the problem laid in how to put it into words. So after a few moments of careful consideration, he was able to answer. "I feel as though the Sun is shining on every part of my body. Displeasure is nonexistent when I look at him. I've seen angels that cannot compare to his smile, his eyes, every little feature he has. My heart is always seconds away from leaping out my chest when I see him. And when he holds me...it's like magic. When he's with me, I feel complete and there isn't a single being in the universe that can make me feel the way he does."

The angel didn't realise, but he began to smile as he spoke. The act still tended to hurt his cheeks because of how little he did it, but he didn't mind. Yunho heard Hongjoong giggle, then watched him shake his head. "That was beautiful," He said earnestly. He chuckled yet again at the way Yunho blushed. "Never in my life did I think I would hear an angel speak in such a way, or even blush for that matter. Now, let me ask you this: Do you love him?"

This time, Yunho was hesitant to respond. "I can't truly say...I've never felt love before. I don't want to mistake a phase for such an intense feeling..."

"Trust me, it's no phase," Hongjoong told him, a smile resting on his face. "I know how it feels to be emotionless and suddenly start experiencing a whole new world of feelings. It can be frightening and I don't blame you if you ever want to go back to feeling stoic. It's not my place to tell you how to feel. You are now a living being, your decisions are your own. But, I'll say this. Don't be afraid to make a move, Yunho. You may have all of eternity, but he doesn't. Don't let fear be the thing to overpower you."

Fear, another emotion Yunho had only experienced once he left the safety of heaven. He never thought he would fear losing someone until today. The thought of losing Mingi haunted him. So much so that he didn't even want to imagine it. "What if he doesn't say it back...?"

"There's no way to predict what he'll say or how he feels," Stated Hongjoong right before he took a sip of his tea. "If he doesn't, you'll simply have to accept it. You can't force someone to admit their feelings for you. Hell, it took Seonghwa and me years to say 'I love you' to one another. It takes time."

Seonghwa. He was the key. As long as he remained on Earth, Yunho would get to stay with Mingi. He could wait for his heart to heal and maybe, just maybe, he would get the chance to make it his.

So cautiously, Yunho brought up the topic of their stay. "You three seem rather content here, how long do you intend on staying?"

Now, Hongjoong was no fool. He knew the real reason the angel would ask such a question and answered honestly. "For the sake of San, I don't think it would be very wise to move again. Not after he's gotten so comfortable and met someone that makes him this happy. It would be criminal to take that away from him now."

Yunho listened attentively, waiting for any signs of their departure. Though he did enjoy listening to the way Hongjoong talked about his family. It was rather endearing. "As for me and Seonghwa, I know he misses what we had in Hell...at times, so do I. But I don't intend on returning anytime soon. San turns eighteen soon and I'd rather have him in a place like this than in Hell."

The breath of relief Yunho let out had Hongjoong giggling. "Relieved?"

"Very," Neither of them had eternity. The chances of Yunho being assigned to a demon in this area again were slim, and for all he knew, Mingi may not even be alive when that happens. So he made a decision. "I'm going to tell him today. There's no point in waiting around when any day could be the end. If he doesn't accept my feelings...then I suppose I'll just have to live with it."

"That's amazing!" Exclaimed the demon, giddiness sounding through his voice. Though he cleared his throat not a moment later to reel himself in. "I'm happy to hear that. What do you plan to do?"

"I'm going to give him a day he'll never forget." The thought of what he had planned made Yunho smile, but to Hongjoong, his intentions sounded much more devious.

"Yunho, I don't think that's a good idea. What makes you think he'll be ready to take that step the moment you confess? I doubt he's done anything like that since he lost his partner..."

"What on Earth do you...oh...Oh! No no no!" The angel gasped at what his hyung was implying and shook his head vigorously, cheeks becoming a flustered shade of red. "I myself have never done anything like...that. I am not so sure I am ready for that and I wouldn't want to disappoint him with my poor performance."

"You're twenty-two...and you're a virgin?" Questioned Hongjoong in disbelief.

"Don't phrase it like that!" Yunho shouted, his embarrassment very clear. "It's not as though I am over a hundred. Besides, many angels are celibate." Hongjoong rolled his eyes at that, muttering about how prudish they seemed before he stood to his feet. He told Yunho it would be best to be on his way and walked him to the door.

The angel thanked him with a bow, smiling gratefully at him. "I appreciate the advice, hyung. If all goes well, perhaps we could speak another time."

"Sounds like a plan. I should probably go wide down the living room, Seonghwa will definitely know you were here and I don't want to watch him scrub the carpet for an hour." The two shared a laugh, then Yunho headed off. However, not before he noticed a package on the ground.

"This must be for you," Both examined the medium-sized box with curiosity before Yunho remembered his mission at hand and teleported from the scene. Hongjoong furrowed his brow at the note stuck to the box, fingers tracing the logo on the side.

'You'll be needing a new toy. Don't forget our agreement.'

------------------------------

Mingi sent the customer a smile, sending them on their way once he handed them their order. He then sighed, leaning against the front counter. For a moment, his eyes travelled to the booth in the corner of the room, if only to think about the person usually occupying that seat.

"What are you daydreaming about?" Ask Seonghwa, coming behind the younger and leaning on the space next to him.

"Nothing really," He replied. "Just wondering what Yunho's up to." The mere mention of that name made Seonghwa gag.

"Out of everything in the world, you're thinking about that thing? I'm surrounded by love birds. First San and his human toy, and now you and this holy creature."

"You're one to talk," Mingi chuckled. "Just the other day, you and Hongjoong hyung were cuddling in one of the booths. You should be the last person on Earth to complain about this sort of stuff." Seonghwa simply stuck his tongue out at the brunette, earning a playful snicker from him. The demon stretched, turning around to make himself a cup of coffee, while Mingi's eyes wandered back over to Yunho's seat.

There was a strange part of him that sort of wanted to see him. The rest of him really wanted him. Mingi would be lying if he said he didn't miss the angel's presence. He became rather distant after that day at the park and the thought that he may have done something wrong was eating him up inside.

Not only that, but he kept wondering what he was doing and who he was doing it with. It sounded obscene to him, how much he thought of his friend, but Mingi just couldn't help it. He wanted to spend more time with him.

These thoughts poofed away when a familiar figure suddenly appeared in front of him, eliciting a quick shriek from Mingi. "Yunho?" He gasped. Not a second sooner, Seonghwa appeared in front of him, pushing the human away, eyes growing dark. "Wait, hyung! I didn't mean to scare you, it's just Yunho!"

"And?" Mingi groaned to himself, simply shifting away from the demon and walking around the counter to greet him. He mouthed an apology to the few patrons of the cafe who were reasonably shocked to see that two men had appeared out of nowhere but thankfully no one chose to comment. The brunette smiled at Yunho, happy to see that his grin was returned.

"I wanted to treat you today. Are you free to leave early?" Mingi was ready to grab his coat and shout yes without s doubt, yet realised he needed permission first. He looked towards Seonghwa, whose arms were crossed, and a deep frown on his face. The demon told Yunho to wait while he pulled Mingi into the kitchen.

Ready to plead his case, Mingi opened his mouth to speak and got his puppy dog eyes ready. Unfortunately, Seonghwa beat him to it. "I've got condoms in the closet," he stated suddenly.

"Hyung!"

"Don't hyung me! You'll need them! You don't pick someone up from work early just to hang out! Remember, don't let him break you. Oh~ Unless you're into that?" Yet again, Mingi opened his mouth only to be interrupted once more. "And don't say a thing because I know you're a bottom. I never got the chance to have sex with an angel so let me know how it goes!"

"I've to go, hyung." Muttered the younger, doing very little to hide his flustered expression. "And for your information, I'm not a bottom!"

After an extensive and "lovely" conversation with Seonghwa, where he warned Yunho that, and to quote "He would break every bone in his body, build him back up, then destroy him with all the powers of hell if he dared hurt Mingi's feelings" they two were able to leave. They stood outside the cafe door for a moment, afternoon winds brushing through hair and against their clothes.

Mingi was unsure of what the day had in store. After all, he assumed the angel was upset with him and had no clue what he had planned. Yunho, on the other hand, knew exactly how he wanted today to go. "Before we head back home, can we stop by the store?"

As Yunho threw things into his basket, Mingi watched him curiously. Espresso, sugar, vanilla extract, cocoa powder, whipped cream, mascarpone. They were all the ingredients for "Tiramisu?" He gasped just as they reached the checkout.

"You catch on fast," His warm chuckled had Mingi's cheeks a little flushed. Although it took him a while to guess, Yunho smiled regardless.

He stopped Mingi right as he was about to take out his wallet, bringing a black card into his hand instead. "Isn't that Seonghwa hyung's card?"

"Indeed. It's alright, he won't even know it's missing." They both chuckled, though the angel was silently praying that the demon really wouldn't notice. Ah well. It was Seonghwa's problem. Not his.

With that, the two walkedback to the house. They took their time. It was a good excuse for them to chat and admire the scenery on such a beautiful day. Mingi took hold of Yunho's arm, clinging to it as they strolled. Such an action made the angel flustered but he didn't dare discourage it.

All this time, he had been avoiding the human, thinking it would be best for both of them but now Yunho felt like he had wasted so much time. There was nothing in the universe he wanted more than to spend time with Mingi. That had become clear to him.

When they reached their home, they got started with the tiramisu immediately. Mingi admitted shyly that he had never actually made the treat before. "Don't worry, I'll guide you," Yunho told him. As the pink apron was fastened around Mingi's waist, the brunette couldn't help but chuckle at what it said. 'Princess' written in pretty cursive. "Why do you have this?"

"It was a gift for my mother. I don't cook much so I completely forgot about it." The angel leaned closer, head resting on Mingi's shoulder as he tightened the last of the strings.

"Well, I like it. I think it suits you, princess." The second those words left Yunho's mouth, Mingi turned to him, brow furrowed. "Sorry, I didn't mean..."

"It's okay," Mingi assured him, a gentle smile on his face. "I like it."

Yunho's cheeks began to feel warm, earning a giggle from the younger. He reached up and booped the angel's nose, snapping him back to reality. Yunho wasn't given time to dwell on this action as Mingi had already started to search for a recipe and pull everything out.

The angel cupped his face, waiting for the warmth to fade as he watched the brunette, it only got worse. I still haven't learned my lesson.

Now...When Mingi said he couldn't cook, he meant it.

Yunho had to explain to him that "You have to follow the recipe."

"But how's it going to cook if we don't put it in the microwave?"

"Mingi...It will melt."

"We'll never know until we try!" So they put the finished tiramisu in the microwave.

It melted.

So next, they tried the oven which Yunho was pretty sure Mingi had never used before because he mistook the timer for the dial. Nevertheless, they put the tiramisu in the oven...and it burned. Perhaps it had something to do with the fact that it was over one hundred and eighty degrees.

By the end, both were covered in cream after they just decided to eat the ingredients. Yunho knew tiramisu wasn't a particularly difficult dish but didn't mind messing up if it meant getting to help Mingi clean up afterwards. Wiping his lips of leftover filling and brushing his soft cheeks to do away with crumbs.

They cleaned up their mess of a kitchen, leaving what was the most decent bath out for Jongho and Yeosang when they got back from school. Afterwards, they retired to the couch, Mingi unconsciously snuggling up to Yunho when they made contact with it.

"What would you like to do now?" Asked Yunho. He heard Mingi hum then looked up at them with his big eyes. Should he have the chance, the blonde would do nothing but stare into those beautiful dark pools of his.

"For now, I just want to relax. It's been a long day already. It'll be even longer once Jongho and Yeosang get back. They've been a little off lately, have you noticed?"

Yunho thought for a moment, then shrugged. "I assume it's teenage angst. Perhaps they are just going through puberty?"

"Oh...Yeah, I guess that makes sense. I just hope nothing bad happened to them. I've hardly gotten to spend any time with Jongho recently. Maybe I should-"

"Mingi," Was what cut off the start of the brunette's rambles. "You worry far too much about other people. What do you want?"

"What do I want?" Their eyes didn't leave each other. Mingi's sentence trailed off, gaze examining the pristine features of Yunho's face. From his sparkling eyes to his plush pink lips. You would have to be blind to not think he was stunning. Slowly, he moved closer, adjusting himself in Yunho's gentle hold, still failing to break eye contact.

"Mingi...You're staring."

The brunette blinked, then blinked once again. Immediately, his face became a flushed shade of red when he shifted away from the angel. His warmth was something Yunho craved the moment he was gone, his hand reaching out to him, only to draw it back. "Sorry, I didn't mean to I just-"

"No!" The blonde exclaimed, perhaps a little too quickly. Mingi had never heard him sound so frantic before, not over a casual conversation at least. "I didn't mean to deter you! It's just that...I'm not sure. I liked it and I wasn't sure if you were aware of what you were doing."

The blush had yet to fade from Mingi's face. Even still, he scooted back towards Yunho. All of a sudden, he began to snicker. He buried his face in the angel's chest, catching him off guard. Although, it did tickle just a little, earning a light giggle from him. "Sorry! You're too cute Yunho, you know?"

"You think so?" Mingi nodded at him, continuing to chuckle. "If my princess thinks I'm cute, then so be it." This time, it was Yunho's turn to laugh. He pulled the brunette closer, as Mingi was red to the tips of his ears. The angel couldn't help but smile. Not when Mingi was this adorable.

Noon was drawing near, and Yunho wanted to spend a few more hours with him before the others arrived.

That was how the two ended up strolling through the park that afternoon. It was late in the day by now, with not too many people in sight. Neither of them minded though. It made it feel like this was their private space.

As they walked, Mingi excitedly pulled Yunho to the ice cream truck. They ordered two simple, vanilla soft serves and went to their usual spot. For once, the brunette's eyes didn't wander across the carvings layering the bench. He wasn't taken by the memories of his past. He focussed on the present and the one thing that stole all his attention.

Yunho.

His thoughtful gaze and the way he so carefully swirled his tongue across the tip of his treat. It was clear he didn't want to make the same mistake as last time. Little did he know, such a simple action made Mingi shift in his seat, crossing his legs and glancing away to distract himself. He started to lick his own serve, hardly paying attention to his pace.

Yunho turned towards him, suddenly hearing the younger groan. He saw that his ice cream was nearly halfway done and smiled, shaking his head. "Brain freeze. Remember?" Such a snarky comment was met only with a playful eye roll from Mingi.

"I guess I should've learned from your mistake, huh?" Yunho's thumb ran across the corners of his mouth, doing away with the excess ice cream.

"Indeed." When he moved away, Mingi found himself leaning forward, but caught himself before Yunho could notice.

What's wrong with me today? He thought to himself. Maybe if you just focussed on Yunho, these thoughts would go away?

Yunho had his legs crossed, eyes fixed on the horizon. His platinum blonde hair tenderly brushed by the wind, his warm and inviting aura - Everything about him just seemed so otherworldly and angelic. That thought made Mingi roll his eyes. After all, it was true.

For a while, neither of them said much. With their hands intertwined, both males kept their eyes on the clouds, watching as the sky above them began to settle. Even as the moon rose, they were fixed in a comfortable silence.

"Do they have stars in Heaven?" Mingi had asked, doing away with the stillness they had built up. Though a rather unprompted question, Yunho still grinned and answered regardless.

"Unfortunately, we do not. Quite upsetting, isn't it? Such a beautiful sight one can only find in a place like this." Finally, they turned to one another. Whether Yunho was referring to the stars or him, Mingi wasn't sure. Yet he felt himself getting lost in him nonetheless. The same could be said for the angel beside him.

Slowly, Yunho moved towards the brunette. His silver eyes glistened under the bright light of the moon, angelic aura making the moment feel comfortable and safe. It was only them. The park was empty, void of anything that wasn't a firefly or the two men. Nothing could be more comforting and as Mingi shifted closer to the angel that was all he felt. Comfort.

The angel's hand slowly went to his face, each movement done with caution. Yunho wanted to make sure Mingi was comfortable with whatever he did. Even if it was a simple touch. Thankfully, the younger brought himself closer, captivated by his mere stare. "Yunho..." He whispered.

"Yes, Mingi?" Was his gentle reply, carefully running his hand through his beautiful brown locks.

"This day has been amazing. Thank you," His light pink cheeks accompanied with his glowing smile, even in the dead of night, still managed to make Yunho flustered. Though this time, he didn't quite mind the feeling. Rather, he was very fond of it. It reminded him that these feelings were real, and that Song Mingi was the only one they belonged to.

"Anything for you Mingi, you deserve whatever the greatest gifts heaven has to offer. I can't think of anyone more caring or special," The words he spoke filled the brunette with such a fluttery feeling, so beautiful he never wanted it to end. It only engulfed the rest of his body as Yunho continued. "Though I may not have much in the sense of wealth, I have my heart and...I would love nothing more than for it to belong to you."

When he leaned in, Yunho swore he felt the world stop. "You would do anything?"

"Anything."

"Then...Would you please kiss me?"

Yunho smiled at him. "Of course, princess."

His hand travelled just before his lips, thumb running over the bottom part. Mingi leaned in first, eyes fluttering closed. There was no sight more precious to Yunho.

Mingi could feel his breath lightly brush against him and counted the seconds in his head.

1...

2...

3...

Nothing.

In fact, Mingi felt nothing but the air around him become cooler, the warmth of Yunho's grasp fading away. His eyes flew open but nothing could match the pure confusion on the angel's face.

He looked at his arm, now a ghostly transparent colour that was quickly spreading to the rest of his body. "Yunho? What's happening to you?" Asked the frantic brunette, desperately reaching for Yunho's hand only to slip right through.

"This...this isn't right!"

"I don't get it, what's happening?"

"They're calling me back to Heaven. My mission...it's over?" The angel went wide-eyed. With such a realisation and limited time, he whipped in Mingi's direction. As quickly as he could, he attempted to cup his cheeks and deliver at least one kiss yet his hands went right through his body.

Soon, there was nothing left of him. "I'm sorry." Were the last words he whispered before fading away in front of Mingi's very eyes.

He was left with an empty space that he had no clue how to fill. Mingi reached for the place where Yunho once sat, disbelief resting on his face that soon turned to sorrow.

"Y-Yunho?" He stuttered, voice just above a whisper. Mingi could feel his vision become clouded by the pools in his eyes when there was no reply. Clutching his arms, he let the tears spill down his cheeks, chest rising and falling with pure distress as he cried at the top of his lungs.

"Yunho!"
