*Don't Worry, I'll Hold You*
There a slight mature scene close to the end, it's not detailed but I thought I'd still give a warning because it's not between Seongjoong.
Speaking of which, I got a comment about this towards the end of the last chapter so I want to explain something really quick: the original draft of this story focussed heavily on smut and it seemed like everything was resolved around sex. So I took it out, rewrote it and replaced it with something else. Chances are if you're reading a soft scene it was originally smut.
I made a rule to only stick with Seongjoong having mature scenes at the beginning just to keep myself on track. I'm not opposed to smut, I just thought the story had too much at the start so I'll just save it a for later 🌚(Later means now)
So like...idk don't ask me I'll get to it lmao.

San skipped happily around the house, brewing with excitement that didn't go unnoticed by his parents. There was a bright smile on his face but they knew for a fact that it was a devious one. "San," Hongjoong said cautiously, just as he finished pouring Seonghwa a cup of coffee. "What are you planning?"
The teen giggled and floated over to him, the grin still on his face. "Now what on Earth do you mean Dad?" The two adults shared a sceptical look and glanced back at their son. "Okay okay! I'll tell you!" He exclaimed. His smile suddenly fell into the mischievous smirk he had been masking. "I'm going to Wooyoung's house in a bit."
"I'd hardly call it a house," Seonghwa scoffed before he took a sip of his coffee.
"And what are you going to do?" Hongjoong pressed. It's not that he didn't trust San, it's just that whenever he left the house he was genuinely concerned for the safety of every living thing around him. Wooyoung especially since they spent so much time together.
"I'm going to ruin him~" Seongwha choked on his hot drink, coughing it up across the counter while the fireplace and gas stove in the kitchen flared brightly as Hongjoong's mouth fell agape.
"Sannie you can't just-"
"With Wooyoung?!"
"You need to ask for consent-"
"With him of all people!?"
"Seonghwa!" They quickly turned to each other, Hongjoong's face a harsh shade of red as he contemplated what to say to their son. Meanwhile, Seonghwa looked mortified. Or maybe he was laughing. It was hard to tell at times. "All of a sudden? He can't just...Hwa...are you...crying?"
Sure enough, streams of tears were running down the older demon's face. "My little boy is growing up too fast!" He wailed. Hongjoong sighed and rubbed his back. "H-He used to b-be so tiny! And now look! He's taller than you and wants to start his own adventures! And with a human being of all things! I thought we agreed he could only do this when he reached a hundred!"
"No, you said he'd have to wait till a hundred and I told you that was unreasonable-"
"Should we call Jackson?" Seonghwa interrupted. The demon whipped out his phone, frantically scrolling through his contacts. "Jackson will know what to do, he's a chaos demon, a professional!" Hongjoong snatched the device away immediately and shook his head.
"I do not want Jackson Wang in my house," He said sternly. "The man is messy. We just need to talk to him. Stop stressing." Seonghwa took a deep breath then nodded along. Together they turned to where their son was standing.
Only to find that he was long gone.
------------------------------
For the most part, San was doing a pretty good job of making it look like he was avoiding Wooyoung. He never said he was going to his house, never brought him over if his fathers were home and if asked about him, only ever responded with a light hum or off-hand comment. At school, on the other hand, they were practically inseparable. Woosan was their official name and everyone knew it. Any bullying Wooyoung had experienced prior practically vanished with San around to defend him at any given moment. Whether that being quietly correcting someone or some of his more...ethically questionable methods.
By now everyone knew that they were an unofficial item, everyone except their parents of course. While San had little to no worry about his father's finding out, Wooyoung on the other hand was much more apprehensive to let his mother in on the more "scandalous" aspects of his life. San had assured him that everything would be okay but he was still scared beyond belief. Since Seonghwa had come over, her attitude had become much more unpredictable. When she woke up surrounded by wine glasses she had convinced herself she had become an alcoholic.
Needless to say, home wasn't the best place to be right now. "You're always invited to my house," San told him with a smile. Wooyoung would never understand what he did to deserve such an amazing friend but he didn't take it for granted for a second.
Wooyoung met San outside his apartment complex with a smile and jumped into his arms to hug him the second he was close enough. "Whoa! Someone's excited to see me." San grinned.
"I can't help it! It's been forever since we've hung out!" The two of them chuckled and started walking down the street. Hand in hand, the duo made their way around town stopping by shops and small stores as a way to meander and fill time.
Yeah, San said he was going to ruin Wooyoung, but he only really did that to stress his parents out. He didn't actually have any real intention to do anything sexual with him. All San wanted to do was enjoy his company. "It's strange," said Wooyoung suddenly. "Ever since you came around everyone's left me alone. How'd you do it?"
San hummed.
"Please don't hurt me!" The teen cried, curling in a ball as San stood over him. The demon scowled at him.
"Funny, isn't that what Wooyoung said to you when you held him down and called him a slut? Now that's not very nice." The teen continued to cry when San held him up, glaring into his soul with his glowing eyes as he slammed him against the brick wall.
"Now, what to do with you?" San grinned, eyeing the tall building above them. "Let's see if you can fly."
"I guess I'm just very persuasive."
"Well, either way, thank you Sannie." Wooyoung put his arm around San's waist and planted a kiss on the demon's cheek. "You're the best."
San blushed. He wanted to hide his face but Wooyoung wouldn't let him go. "Wooyoungie~" Wooyoung giggled, kissing his cheek yet again. They stopped by a cute little store with a row of roses in the front. San grinned down at the display and plucked one of the red flowers before handing it to the other teen.
"For the most beautiful boy on Earth~," He said with a wink.
Wooyoung tilted his head. "I can't be the most beautiful boy on Earth." He replied.
"What? Why?"
"Because I'm looking at him." San gagged, playfully of course, before smirking yet again.
"You're so cheesy," He teased. Wooyoung still took the flower, taking in its wonderful scent and then turned back to his friend with a grin.
"You love me either way."
"Damn right I do," The demon thought to himself. He really did love Wooyoung in a way he just couldn't describe with words. Something about the way he made him feel so at ease and...normal. Wooyoung didn't push him away when he found out about his powers - he embraced him and San would forever be grateful for that. When their hands intertwined, it made his heart flutter. When they gazed into each other's eyes, he felt like the happiest person in the world. He could only hope Wooyoung felt the same.
They continued to stroll around, their arms linked while they engaged in pleasant chatter. San found his eyes travelling to Wooyoung's perfect lips every so often and he had to remind himself that he was a gentleman that would never do anything without his permission - But the things he wanted to do to this boy...If he had it his way, he'd be pinned against a wall by now. "He wouldn't like that very much, would he?" He thought in frustration with his desires. "Control yourself San. Consent is important...Consent is important...Consent is-"
"What are you thinking about Sannie?" San snapped himself out of his thoughts and turned to Wooyoung, who was looking somewhat worried.
"You, of course, ~" Wooyoung's face melted back into a grin immediately as he hit San on the chest.
"You're such a flirt," He groaned, yet San didn't fail to notice the blush on his cheeks. It was nice knowing he could make him smile.
Their moment was cut short, however, when the blonde suddenly got an alert on his phone. "Dammit, I need to put this thing on silent." Wooyoung cursed. He then gave San an apologetic look and the demon already knew what he was about to say. "I gotta go..."
"Oh...Well, where to? I'll drop you off."
"Don't worry about it!" He stood on his toes and placed a kiss on San's forehead. "I'll see you tomorrow!" He exclaimed while he ran off. Watching him sprint away, San stood there with his arms crossed and a face full of disappointment.
Now where is that whore running off to now? San flinched at the sudden voice that entered his head. He felt his mood sour within seconds.
"Oh great, it's you..." He grumbled. The voice didn't respond causing the demon to sigh. There was no use standing around doing nothing, so he figured he'd head home.
Though he despised everyone who so much as glared at Wooyoung, San was thankful he could take out all his pent up energy on them. It was very relaxing. As such, he was able to fly with no problems other than the occasional bird flying at his face. Though he was disappointed he couldn't spend more time with Wooyoung, especially since the blonde had been blowing him off all week. San only hoped he was okay.
------------------------------
It was seven-thirty. Hongjoong was scribbling things down in a notebook, Seonghwa was busy making kimchi for dinner and San was flicking through the channels on the TV when the doorbell rang. "I'll get it!" The teen announced, hopping off the sofa and sprinting towards the door. He was hoping it was the delivery man since San liked growling at him and chasing him off their lawn.
To his shock, it was someone much different. "Um...surprise?"
"Wooyoung?" The blonde clutched the duffle bag at his side and looked down with his red eyes. He had been crying. He was dressed in short-shorts and a crop top. Mascara ran down his cheeks and whatever makeup he was wearing had smudged as well. San wasted no time ushering him in and taking his bag. "What happened, Woo?"
"I um...I was kicked out..." Tears started to run down his cheeks all over again. "My mom found out about my job and about...us..."
"Wooyoung..."
"I had to go back! They got new management and I was called in. I...I didn't have a choice..." Wooyoung sniffed between a few of his words. "I've been going in for the past few days...It's why I haven't had time to hang out. My mom confronted me after she said she saw me on the street and then she threw this bag at me and told me to pack my things. She told me I was too friendly with the forces of Satan and she wouldn't tolerate whores in her presence..." San pulled the now weeping boy in his arms, letting him cry in his shirt.
He could see the guilt in his eyes and seeing Wooyoung like this made San's heart hurt. "You're safe Wooyoung," he said softly, stroking his blonde hair. "Don't worry, I'll hold you..."
"Hey San, who's here-" Hongjoong stopped dead in his tracks. When he saw the bag in San's arms and that Wooyoung was crying, he knew what happened immediately. "Take him to one of the spare bedrooms, okay?" San nodded, mouthing a thank you before leading Wooyoung away.
The red-head watched as they left upstairs, San held him every step of the way. After that, Hongjoong sighed then sucked in a nervous breath before he made his way into the kitchen. "Who was at the door?" Asked Seonghwa while he set the plates. "I heard crying. It wasn't that mailman, was it? I swear I have no idea why San doesn't like him."
"Seonghwa, you can't get mad at what I'm about to say..." The older demon put the last plate down and looked at him sceptically, his hands placed on his hips. "Woo-"
"Wooyoung is going to be staying with us for a bit," San announced when flew into the room. Hongjoong held his face in his hand, awaiting Seonghwa's, inevitably, negative reaction.
"He's...WHAT?"
"I said he'll be staying with us for a while," San restated, trying to keep a straight and unbothered expression on his face. Though it faltered at the downright frightening glare his father was giving him. "He needs a place to stay! His mom just kicked him out."
"And how is that our problem?" The demon hissed.
"It's not a problem and it's not yours to deal with!"
"Excuse me, I didn't know you paid rent in this house." Hongjoong put a hand on Seonghwa's shoulder and pulled him back.
"Calm down Seonghwa," he said. "But San, you can't just decide things like that on a whim. You need to-"
"To think about things I know! But I can't just leave him alone! I won't do that to him," he said. "Because I..."
"Don't say it," hissed Seonghwa.
"I love him."
"Goddammit!" The temperature in the room dropped exponentially, as the shadows in the room flickered, momentarily coming to life and flying in every direction. San flinched seeing his own rise above his head.
"H-Hwa..." Hongjoong coughed out at the harsh temperature change. Seonghwa pulled him to his side and held him up, breathing in and out to reign himself back in. San was left wide-eyed at his father's reaction. He knew he hated humans, but this much?
"San-ah," Hongjoong said once the temperature returned to normal. "You can't fall in love with a human."
"Why not? I know I skipped containment, but I'm not stupid, I know that's not a rule! It's not like I'm too unstable or something! It's not fair! So why can't I fall in love with him?"
Seonghwa sucked in a harsh breath. He could see Hongjoong silently warning him not to say anything, but the sooner he knew the better. "Because you're going to outlive him San!" Seonghwa finally exclaimed. He watched his son freeze and suddenly regretted what he had just said.
San's face dropped. "W-What...? No...I can't!"
"Sannie, you're father and I have lived for hundreds of years, and so will you," Hongjoong explained with a rather sombre expression. "Human's can hardly live past ninety. They get older in a way we could never understand. That's why we said we wanted you to think about this relationship. That's why I said it'll end in heartbreak because Wooyoung won't make it to the end with you."
No, that wasn't possible. They were supposed to spend the rest of eternity together! San covered his face, fighting back any tears threatening to come out. "Oh San," sighed Seonghwa. He and Hongjoong went over to their son, wrapping their arms around him once his tears started to roll down his cheeks.
"D-Does that mean I'll have to give him up? I can't do that, I love him!" Wailed the distraught teenager.
Hongjoong stroked his son's dark hair. "You don't have to give up on him, you've just got to accept that things don't always go to plan and that you can't get everything you want. I know it's hard right now, but we'll help you get through things. Just take your time, and we'll be there every step of the way."
"He knows I'm a demon..." San confessed honestly. He felt Hongjoong tense a bit. "It was an accident. I trust him and I know he won't tell anyone."
"It's alright San," Seonghwa reassured him. He glanced towards Hongjoong, making sure agreed as well. To which the fire demon hummed.
San only nodded. He enjoyed feeling so small and engulfed in his parent's loving arms. At least he'd have them forever. Even if he couldn't keep Wooyoung with him forever, at least they could be together in this lifetime. There was nothing but silence between the three of them before San broke it by saying: "Father, the kimchi's cold."
Seonghwa chuckled. "You're right. Why don't you take a plate for Wooyoung and you two can eat upstairs." San smiled brightly, shimmying out of their soft hold then racing to Wooyoung's room with the food.
"What do we do?" Hongjoong muttered aloud. "I don't want his heart to be broken."
His husband sighed. He brought Hongjoong back to his side with a look of uncertainty on his face. "Some things are inevitable Joong, heartbreak is one of them and we can't stop it from happening."
------------------------------
He was only a few doors down and every bone in San's body was telling him to get up and go see him. He wanted him. His malicious thoughts had subsided when he started to release more energy but that didn't mean they went away entirely. After all, they were always there, quietly nudging him to do things. Like now.
Go over there and choke him out.
"I don't want to..." San muttered in response. "Remember what they said? Maybe I should keep a little distance..."
Can little Sannie not be a big boy and get what he wants? San rolled his eyes and pulled his blanket over his face but it did nothing but cover his body, not his thoughts.
What must he think of you? That little whore must be waiting for you to ruin him but you're just lying here like a coward.
"Don't call him a whore!" The demon growled. "He's not some slut looking for a job, he's my friend!"
Ah, there he is. You're so much more interesting when you're aggressive. I know you want to cause some damage. His body is yours for the taking, remember? You can do anything you want with him and he can't fight back.
"WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY? Stop talking before I come in there and kill your ass!"
A soft knock came from the door, instantly making San cover his mouth. "Sannie?" Seonghwa called from the other side. "Hun, can I come in?" The younger demon responded with a hum and his father soon came in. Seonghwa sat down next to San on the bed as his son slowly crawled out from under his covers.
"Sannie, are you okay? What's going on in your mind right now?" San only shrugged. He couldn't bring himself to say anything, Seonghwa would kick Wooyoung out if he did. "San," Seonghwa said seriously but still gently. "I know you've got a lot going on in there, but if it's getting bad again we can call Jackson. Please just let us know if it hurts."
"Is Dad asleep?" Asked San, changing the subject. Seonghwa noticed that he had averted his gaze, he clearly didn't want to talk about it now.
"Unfortunately. I don't understand how someone could sleep every night, what a waste of time."
"Says you, Father," San giggled. "You're always trying to sleep during the day. If it wasn't for Dad and me, I bet you wouldn't even leave the house if you didn't have to."
"Too true," Seonghwa placed a kiss on San's forehead and ruffled his curly hair. "I'll see you in the morning Sannie and remember, we're just down the hall if you need anything."
"Father," The younger called out just before his father got up. When Seonghwa turned back to him, San looked down, suddenly wary. "Am...Am I dangerous?" He muttered finally. Never had his father hugged him so quickly. San was nearly knocked down when he brought him into his arms.
"No Sannie, no you're not. You are just like the rest of us, normal." Except he wasn't normal. Both his father's had control over themselves and their powers. They wouldn't do what he's done to some of these humans. "Listen to me and listen well: I don't care what anyone has to say about you because you're perfect just the way you are and I know you wouldn't hurt someone on purpose unless it was completely necessary. You're dad I love you no matter what, okay? You're not dangerous."
After a quick hug and smile, Seonghwa got up and left. Once again leaving San with nothing but his thoughts. His face fell the moment his father was gone. He tried to let his words sink in, however, they were quickly interrupted.
What must Wooyoung be thinking?
Echoed the voice in his head. What was Wooyoung thinking? San was always told not to invade people's thoughts because it was rude and unethical, but if it would make the voice in his head shut up he'd gladly disregard that rule.
It only took a few moments for San to think of Wooyoung and seep into his mind. What was the point anyways? He must be asleep.
"AAAAAAAGGGGGHHH!"
San winced. Guess not.
"I can't sleep..." he heard Wooyoung say, or rather, think. "San is just in the other room, should I see if he's awake? No, he's probably asleep...does he even sleep? Ugh. I shouldn't bother him, but I can't stop thinking about him. He's just so perfect."
"See? Can I sleep now?" Said pleaded towards the voice in his head. Yet he didn't get a reply. "Thank you." Just before he released Wooyoung, he heard him keep going.
"His eyes, his face. I bet he has the most amazing body that he could just...just...shit!" San stood at full alert ready to run to Wooyoung and see what happened. Just before he did, Wooyoung kept going.
***
"Go down go down! Not in someone else's house! Ugh...but...no one is awake...right? It's almost midnight..." San stopped. His face slowly became bright red while his heartbeat started to rage at what he heard next.
Wooyoung moaned.
"S-San...Ah! San! Just like that, hit me right there!" San heard everything, his light pants, the way he chanted his name over and over again. He wanted to go over there so badly.
I told you he was a little slut.
"G-Go away...maybe he's talking about a different San..."
You're truly an idiot if you think that. Why don't we help him out?
Wooyoung had his eyes closed, breathy moans leaving his parted lips as he leaned against the bathroom wall. "S-San...Oh god yes...San...S-San?" His eyes shot wide open to see the very demon he was fantasising about standing in front of him.
"Having fun?" He teased as he made his way towards the younger.
"S-San, listen I-" The older put a finger to his lips, a coy smirk creeping across his face.
"Shh, it's alright love," San moved his hand away and slid them up Wooyoung's shirt. His touch made Wooyoung's breath hitch. He had never seen such a lustrous look in his eyes before. "You're always helping me, this time let me help you." He bent to his knees, gazing up as Wooyoung before looking between his legs.
"S-San you don't need to- Shit!" He moaned with his head thrown back, eyes fluttering as San wrapped his lips around his length, licking the tip and working his way to the base. Even after these few touches, Wooyoung was dizzy with euphoria.
"Fuck...You're so good at this!" Whined the teen with his head lulled to the side. The feeling was better than anything he had ever felt before and strange in how sensual it felt. His mind felt dizzy, almost empty. Desire was the only emotion present, overtaking his wit and any will to turn away.
His hands made their way into San's dark hair, getting tangled in it and yanking it ever so slightly. Though the demon gagged, he didn't mind the extra force. Wooyoung pushed the demon down further, too drowned in his own pleasure to notice the glowing purple radiating from his own eyes.
I don't want to hurt him. I don't want to take advantage of him. So why am I doing this?
