Reason To Be

Helena P.O.V
It was the last day of school and I felt happy. Orion, Isaiah, Jacob, Bruce, Danielle, Erick, Nick, and I went to a diner to eat and hang out. We had burgers and soda. After that we went our separate ways. I stayed with Orion. He drove us to the cliff side where we watch the whole town
"So did you pass?"
Orion asked me as we sat down and looked out.
"Yup. I'm going to the ninth grade. How about you did you pass?"
Orion nodded as he stretched out his arms and yawned.
"I'm scared."
I said as Orion looked over at me.
"Why?"
He asked
"It's high school. The time period where everything changes for a teenager."
He chucked.
"We'll be fine. Don't you worry about it."
I smiled with a nod as we sat in a long comfortable silence, when I suddenly heard a strange whirring sound.
"Do you hear that? What is that?"
I asked with curiosity.
"What is it?"
He asked as he looked at me.
"It sounds like a plane."
Just as I said that a plane of some kind flew over us. Orion and I both looked up and saw the plane fly upwards and come back down. It suddenly transformed and landed in front of us. It was at least a 30 foot tall grey robot. He had red eyes, shark like teeth, and what seemed like scars all over his face. We were trapped. He blocked our only exit, which was Orion's motorcycle.
"Well, Well, Well. If it isn't a couple of humans for me to play with. Well one of them at least."
He said with a sneer. What did he mean by "At least one of them?" I backed up in fear of that thing.
"Helena, run!"
Orion said with so much fear. I looked at him in a questioning matter.
"Why Orion, what's going on?"
"Helena just go. I'll explain later. Right now for the love of god, just run!!!"
I ran the other way jumping of that same cliff. Luckily it was a short jump, as landed and ran, Orion right behind me.
"You can't escape!"
The robot yelled as he too was right behind us. He jumped and landed right in front of us. Orion covered me with his arm and stood in a defensive position.
"Hello Orion Pax. Or should I say, Optimus Prime. And you must be Helena Tena. that's right I know you."
I looked at Orion and saw that his worried expression turned into anger.
"Orion what is he talking about? How does he know me?"
I asked as he ignored me.
"Ahhh so you haven't told your little pet the truth. Well here's your chance, Optimus. Tell her what you are and who are. Tell her before you don't get to at all."
The robot raised with his arm and a canon lit up. Was he going to shot at us?
"No!"
Orion yelled as he pushed me out of the way as the giant robot fired the canon on his arm. I landed on the ground as the sound of the canon rang through my ears.
General Narration
Helena raised her upper body of the ground and looked around. She spotted Orion as he laid there, motionless. She made her way to him and starred in horror of what she had seen.
"O...O...Orion!?"
She said weakly as he bleed out from his abdominal area. Tears slowly formed in her eyes and ran down her cheeks. Most of his stomach area had been blown off. She held him close to her body and cried.
"Orion.....please...wake up. Please. Please......don't leave me. I need you."
He groaned weakly as she looked down as he barely opened his eyes.
"Orion. You're gonna be okay. Just hang in there."
She said frantically, not sure if she was trying to reassure him or herself.
"No. It's......too late. I need you to....know, Helena."
Her tears dropped onto his cheek.
"Helena...I'm so...sorry."
She was confused as she narrowed her eyes a little.
"For what?"
She asked him still confused.
"I'm sorry... I'm sorry."
He continued to say as his breathing turned into short breaths. That was it. She saw the light from his eyes dissipate as he took his last breath.
"No, No, No, No, No.....Orion! Wake up! Orion! Open your eyes! Please, Orion. Don't leave me! NO!"
She cried out, as the giant robot walked towards her and raised his canon, aiming it at Helena. She looked up slowly as his canon prepared for a second shot.
"It is your turn!"
He said with a grin. Helena gritted her teeth together.
"Go ahead!"
She shouted with every ounce of hate and anger she had.
"I don't care! You killed him!! He was my reason to wake up every morning! You took that away!"
She shouted even louder.
"So go ahead. KILL ME!!"
She yelled this time.
"As you wish."
He said bluntly, not had been phased by her out burst. He raised his canon and prepared to fire.
Helena P.O.V
I had nothing to live for now
That one person I had ever trusted, was gone. That one person that gave me hope, was dead. That one person who I had ever loved, was torn from my heart. I didn't care what happened to me. My reason to be. Orion Pax. Was dead. I closed my eyes and waited for my death. I waited. I heard the sound of the canon, but there was no pain.
