Helanas POV

I came sprinting into the school, heavily panting. The bus was there, and I ran up to my teacher. He was taking roll call and shouted "Helanas?" I came from behind him and said
"Margaret. It's Margaret". He saw and checked me in. I was breathing heavily, trying to catch my breath.
"Here" Jake said handing me a water bottle and another sandwich.
"This is why your my best friend" I reminded him. He just gave me a half smile while I drank mostly half of the water bottle and some bites of the sandwich.
"Alright, lets go in before they get the good seats" he said, as he dragged be to the back of the bus.

We were making fun of the 'Perfects' because they were trying to fix their make-up in bus, and Catherine's lipstick smeared everywhere when we hit a few bumps. I then remembered the question he asked me yesterday over the phone.
"Hey, so what was your deal yesterday on the phone?" I asked
He widened his eyes and turned bright red. He stammered a little bit with his words.
"Um... you know I... well.. it's um.."
"Cat got your tongue?" I asked jokingly.
He laughed nervously. The bus stopped suddenly, which made Jake slam his face against the seat in front of us.
I snorted at that moment, then started to laugh really loudly.
"We don't talk about this" he said as he held his nose.

We all came out of the bus, seeing the Griffith observatory in front of us. I personally love this place. The planets, meteors, basically everything is amazing. We came to front where some fat guy started talking about the rules but I zoomed looking at the architecture of the dome.
"... alright have fun" the manager said in a forced happy tone

Everybody ran into the place, touching and hitting some of the stuff. I started going down the stairs where all the planets were aligned in their usual order in the solar system. Jake and I were basically the only people here, if you exclude the security guard, and the girl at the front desk. We were playing around with the "your weight on a different planet" when an annoying voice came from behind us.
"What's the point Margaret? You'll still be fat" joked Catherine. The rest of her minions laughed along side her. I rolled my eyes and turned around. She started to walk towards me and stops in front of my face.
"What do you want?" I asked annoyed.
She smirked and looked me straight in the eye.
"I'll tell you what I want", she said "I want you out."
I furrowed my eyebrows and had a questionable face.
"What do you mean out?"
"You know, I want you out of the school and my life." She went close to my ear and whispered
"I also want you out of Jake's life. He's mine"
That made me twitch a bit. How dare she say? Why would she even think that? Is it true? All these questions were racing through my head, I didn't realize Catherine took another step forward and pushed me to the ground
"Hey! Are you alright?" Jake asked me with concerned, dropping right next to me on the ground. Catherine and her squad were laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world.
"Listen to me foster freak! I'm way more powerful than you can ever think of! I have abilities you could only dream of. So why don't you run along with all your other broken families and get out! No one likes a weakling" she shouted without hesitating, as if she recited and memorized what she was going to say. I got up and ran back upstairs. Red hot tears were escaping from eyes and I tried not to let them fall but failed. I burst through the door and walked down the dirt path on my right. I heard someone calling my name but I kept on walking. I didn't care at this moment, all I knew was that they were right. I felt someone grab me by the arm and made me turn to look at them. Jake was out of breath and had anger in his eyes.
"Didn't you hear me calling you?" He asked, putting his hands on his knees.
"Sorry, maybe it was her taunts that made me deaf!" I shouted. I was angry, like furious. He looked at me with sympathy.
"Look I know how it feels-"
"No you don't! You don't know how it feels to be moved from family to family just because they can't handle you! It's exhausting and terrible! You just won't understand" I stared to cry in my hands. God, I felt so weak like a puppy! It's embarrassing. Jake started to rub by back saying everything was going to be fine. "Look don't worry, I'll always be here"
"No, you won't. I'll be in Virginia in a week" I blurred out.
"Wait what?!" He questioned
I opened my mouth to say something, when we heard someone scream in pain lower down the trail. We both looked at each other and silently agreed. We headed to where we heard the noise and ended us into a dead end. "What the heck! I could've sworn I heard something" I exclaimed
"Me too" agreed Jake. He looks and furrowed his eyebrows at something behind me.
"Um... Margaret? Who is that?" He pointed the someone behind me. I wasn't able to see who it was because they had bonked me in the head with something and I was out like a freaking light.

Cliffhanger! Muahahaha I will now turn into Rick troll Riordan. Anyway, hopes you guys liked this chapter. I know it's shorter than the rest but I just wanted to get this chapter over with. If you guys have any opinions, let me know I'm always open to suggestions. Well now see ya'll later BYE!
