Severus smiled as he looked at his young son, sleeping peacefully in his crib. "Come on Sev, he's not going to stay asleep if you keep hovering." A kind voice said from the doorway. Severus Snape-Prince looked up to see the relaxed form of his wife, Lily Evans-Prince, her red hair tided in a loose braid over her shoulder.
"Oh please, Alexander is an angel." Severus scoffed quietly, reaching down to brush the dark hair out of the two year old's face. "Have you heard from Tom yet?" He asked, looking back up at her.
"Not yet, but you know my brother. He's bouncing off the walls. You would think that it's his first child, not his second." Lily laughed quietly, walking over to wrap her arms around him. She smiled as she thought about Tom Riddle, her sworn brother. The two had first met when he had saved her from a rather tense situation involving James Potter. He had cornered her in the ministry after she had gone to apply for jobs after graduation. She and Tom quickly bonded about the difficulties in finding jobs being muggleborn and Muggle-raised. The two became joined at the hip practically, even after Tom confessed to her that he was Lord Voldemort. She even joined their ranks not as a marked soldier, but alongside the likes of Bellatrix and Narcissa as a healer for the army. During this time she ended up reconciling with Severus the two picking up their friendship where it had been dropped in fifth year, it soon blossoming into romance that resulted in a beautiful traditional wixen wedding and a bouncing baby boy. Lily smiled as she placed a gentle peck on Severus's cheek.
"What was that for?" He asked with a smile, turning around to look at her.
"Nothing. I'm just happy to be with you." Lily replied softly, snuggling against him as she hugged him tightly. Severus smiled as he hugged her back.
"I'm happy to be with you too. Nothing will change that." He said softly, kissing the top of her head. The soft moment of domestic bliss was shattered by a loud crash from downstairs. "Who's there?!" Severus called, pulling out a wand. Lily reached down and picked up a now awake and crying Alexander, the toddler clinging tightly onto his mother. "Lily, take Alex and go." Severus said sternly, his dark eyes flashing dangerously as he tried to get his wife to take their son and leave.
"No! I'm not leaving Sev. I'm not leaving you!" She said, holding tightly onto his sleeve. "I'm by your side. Always."
Severus's eyes softened as he looked at her. "Alwa-!" His words were cut off by a sudden unknown spell to the back of his head, slumping to the ground.
"No!" Lily screamed, dropping down to his side. "Sev!" She cried trying to wake him. She unfortunately didn't see the familiar face of James Potter coming up behind her. "This is for your safety Lilyflower. Obliviate."

Severus woke up to his head pounding and the panicked voice of his close friend Lucius. "Sev! Come on man wake up!" The blond man said in a panic.
"I'm awake, what happened?" Severus asked as he sat up, his head pounding as the world spun around him. "Where's Lily? Where's Alex? Are they with you?" He asked, his voice panicked.
"No. They aren't. I guess they were taken too. Someone broke in last night. We've been betrayed. Black sold us out. Hadrian has been taken." Lucius explained, his voice breaking a bit as he thought about his nephew.
"No. Dammit! It was Dumbledore and his stupid order wasn't it! Damn him. Damn him!" Severus screamed, trying to get his emotions under control, but not even his occlumency could control his raging mind. They took his family. And they would pay.
"Try to relax Sev. The Dark Lord will find them. He'll bring them home. Safe." Lucius promised, helping his friend to his feet. "In the meantime let's get you to Malfoy Manor. This place isn't exactly safe anymore." He said softly, wrapping an arm around Severus's shaking form and apperating them away.
