Mannat's P.O.V

Pulling up to the Cloud Mansion my hands began to shake out of nervousness, Adira had fallen asleep on the way here while I was giving myself a pep talk not to chicken out. I was so close to calling Lydia but I didn't want to be the reason that Hunter gets in trouble. 

Gulping I park my car in front of the door before gently taking Adira out of the car and her stuff walking up to the door waiting for it to open. She moved around in my arms but I lulled her back to sleep, it was around 10 by the time we actually go to Cloud Mansion, don't ask...I got lost a couple of times. A couple of seconds later the door was open revealing a very unamused girl, "Hi." I say quietly, "I am Mahi, from the daycare."

The girl dropped her guard when she noticed Adira in my arms, "Valencia," She introduced herself, "I am sorry again about all of this." Valencia leaned down grabbing Adira from my arms, as I was standing at the second step, "Come on in,"

I shook my head, "No, I really need to get back home as well,"

"Who the fuck is at the door?!" Hunter yelled from inside Valencia covered Adira's ears, "Vallie!"

"Shut up," She snapped looking back at him, "Addi is fucking sleeping, she doesn't need to see you like this."

"I told that stupid girl to keep the fucking kid,"

Shocked I took a step back, "I'm sorry for intruding in your family matter, but I should go."

Valencia sighed, "Thank you again, have a good night." She took a step back before slamming the door shut, "Hunter, say anything against Addi again I will fucking cut your tongue out."

"Fuck you, Vallie!" He snapped back I heard a loud crash, "I hate her, everyone in this house knows I hate her, and I don't want to do anything with her!"

"Delta would be so fucking ashamed right now." Valencia yelled at him, "She left Addi behind for YOU, thinking that you would take care of your kid but I guess she was wrong about that...you know what Hunter from now on, Addi will never come in front of you and I will make sure of that."

I felt guilty eavesdropping but I couldn't help it, how could a father hate his own daughter...why does he have so much hate for a three-year-old little girl? 

"Good luck with that mom-"

"I will handle mom, but today was the last straw Hunter, I don't want to see you around her."

"Good, it's not like I want to be around that burden anyways." 

Gasping I took a step back bumping into a pole except it was a pole, scared I move away from the person I bumped into..."I-I am so sorry, I was just about to leave." I say in a hurry but the large man stopped me. 

"Wait, who are you?" He said holding onto my wrist, God Mahi why didn't you just mind your own business? 

"M-Mannat Ahluwalia, I am just a Day Care teacher...Lydia Cloud had dropped off her granddaughter Adira. She said that her father Hunter would pick her up around 4:30 and well I just came to drop her off because Hunter never showed up." I say shaking my hand out of his grip, "I am sorry I should have left but..."

The man sighed, "Thank you for dropping Adira off, I am Flynn, her grandpa and Lydia's husband."

Oh My God, Flynn Cloud was standing right in front of me and he had caught me eavesdropping outside of his house, Mahi...how stupid can you be!! 

Inhaling sharply I force a small smile on my face, "No need to thank me, Sir, I should head on home now though."

Flynn took a deep breath, "Get home safe,"

Nodding I quickly walked away from him and the house getting into my car, driving away as fast as I could. I am surprised Uncle Alex or Ronnie haven't called to check in on me yet, clearing my throat I call Ronnie,  "Thank god you called Mannat! I literally was just about to call you. Where are you, it's almost 11?"

"Hello to you to Ronnie," I said giggling, 

"Mahi"

"Okay, but just keep a neutral face alright?"

"Okay...?"

"I went to the Cloud Mansion to drop off a kid...Hunter's kid. No one came to pick her up and when I called his sister answered, she asked me to drop her off and I obviously couldn't say no so it took some time." Ronnie stayed quiet ver the phone, "Roshni?"

"Mahi, we have talked about the Cloud Family."

"I know but-"

"Just stay away from them Mahi, drive safe." Ronnie hung up the phone before I could respond. I guess sometimes telling the truth isn't the right way to go... 

Lydia's P.O.V.

Flynn unlocked the door of our house, sighing I leaned against him...it was a long night tonight hopefully everything went well here. As soon as we opened the door my heart dropped, the house was a complete mess...Dom was trying to keep Vallie away from Hunter as Hunter kept screaming profanities at her. Sophie was covering her ears, while Emrys and Saira were clearing up the broken glass everywhere. 

I looked up Flynn who looked pissed off, "ENOUGH!" He yelled pushing me away to the side, Vallie and Hunter stopped yelling at each other as Flynn basically charged over to them. Vallie moved away scared as Hunter swayed in one spot. "What the fuck is going on here?"

"Ask her," Hunter spat venomously, "She is getting on my fucking nerves dad,"

"She is getting on your nerves?!" Flynn yelled pushing Hunter roughly on the couch he glared at him, "She is behind a good fucking sister while you are being a shitty person Hunter."

He scoffed, "Whatever,"

"This is not what Lydia and I imagined you for you, Hunter. Do you have any idea how much we fought to be together just for you! W wanted you to turn out normal not like us but you-"

"Sorry I'm such a bloody disappointment, sorry I didn't live up to your fucking expectation but I lost someone who I thought would be with me forever Dad, and she left behind that....that mistake for me to deal with."

"Hunter!" I snapped going to stand beside Flynn, "Do not call Addi that ever again."

He began laughing throwing his head back Flynn and I looked at him concerned, his laughter soon turned into sobs, "I am going crazy," He whispered, "Momma I am going fucking crazy."

My anger dissolved stepping closer to him I gently wipe away his tears as my own vision began to blur, "You are not crazy Dimples," Hunter sat up hugging my waist tightly, "You are just in pain Honey, and that pain will take time to go away."

"I miss Delta so much," He whimpered, Flynn let out a painful sigh sitting down on the other couch holding his head in his hands, as Vallie brought him a glass of water...Sophie walked over to us leaning against Flynn trying to comfort him as he clung onto me. 

"You can stop life from playing cruel games Dimples, but what you can do is cherish the memories you have left of her...she left you the biggest gift anyone can receive Adira. Instead of running from her, you need to begin accepting her."

"I can't," He said quietly, "Adira looks so much like her mom, every time I look at her all I see is Delta and I remember how I could have saved her but she-"

"She wanted to die to let her child live." I said back gently running my fingers through her hair, "If I was in her place and I had to choose between life or the death of my three children I would choose to die too because I knew your father would take amazing care of you three...for me."

I looked back at Flynn who wiped his tears away discreetly, "I am sorry," Hunter whispered tired, "I'm sorry Momma,"

Letting out a shattered breath I closed my eyes, "Sh," I hushed him, Vallie came up behind me hugging me tightly, please God...please send his miracle before my baby disappears completely, please.
