Mannat's P.O.V

"Mahi!" Gia ran over to me giggling followed by her mother as always, smiling I lean down waiting for her to run into my arms. "I missed you, where were you yesterday?"

Jasmine came out of the back smirking, "She was a little busy Gia," 

Glaring at her I tell her to zip it, I wanted to forget about what had happened last night but Ronnie and Mini wouldn't let me. I don't understand what the fascination is about 'forbidden' boys...taking a deep breath I kiss her cheek, "I just had a couple of things to do Honey...why did Mini not take care of you properly?"

"No she did, but you're more fun."

"Hey!" Jasmine protested huffing, "That is not nice,"

Gia laughed struggling to get out of my arms setting her down she walked over to Mini, "Sorry Mini,"

Ruby chuckled setting her bags down, "Let's go play with the other kids Gia," Mini said before walking into the back room, looking over at Ruby I handed her a cup of coffee.

"What's up?" I ask sitting down in front of her,

She took a sip from her cup, "Gage and I..."

"What about you two?"

"We are getting a divorce." She said firmly, "I can't deal with him anymore, I have been raising Gia, all by myself for the past 5 years and I just need freedom. On papers, we are a married couple but...in real life, we are far from that."

Grabbing her hand comfortingly I say, "I am so proud of you Ruby if you need anything just let me know and I'll be right there."

"Actually that's what I want to talk to you about...this divorce is going to get ugly, and I don't want Gia to sit through everything and surprisingly Gage doesnt want that to happen either. I don't want to send her over to his mom's or my mom's, I was wondering if I could leave her with you for a little while? Maybe for three or four days."

Aunt Rani...she'll kill me. "Um..."

"Please?"

"When are you thinking about leaving her with me?"

"Maybe by this weekend?" Perfect.

'Yeah, you know how much I love her...it'll be fine."

Ruby let out a relieved sigh pulling me into a hug, "Thank you Mahi, you are a life saver." 

"No problem," I say, "I got you." We continued talking for a while, I tried to keep her mind off of Gage until...

"Mahi!" Addi ran up to my legs tightly hugging them, "Hi,"

A huge smile came onto my face picking her up I give her a tight hug, "Hey Honey, excited for today?"

"Mhm, is Gia here?" She asks showing off her adorable little dimples, 

"Of course she is, this is her mommy," I showed her Ruby, Ruby smiled tickling her feet gently, 

"Adira, I told you to wait for me." My body froze up...shit he was here, why was he here? Addi moved closer to me obviously afraid of her father.  Clenching my jaw I stood up with her in my arms, so I was facing him. 

Hunter smirked as soon as he saw me, "Hey Mahi,"

Clearing my throat I kept a blank face, "Hello," Addi kept her gaze down, "Sorry Dad,"

Hunter looked over at her with a soft gaze at first but it harden fast, "Don't do it again okay? Otherwise, Gramma will get mad at me."

Squinting my eyes at him I cut in, "I think that instead of scolding her maybe you should pay more attention to her...you know make sure she doesnt run off instead of being glues on your phone."

He raised an eyebrow at me, "Excuse me?"

"As a caretaker, I have the right to point out things that I find rude or cruel against children Sir, and the way you behave with your daughter isn't a very respectable way."

The smirk fell from his face getting taken over with a slightly irritated look, "Maybe you should mind your own business, it's a family matter."

Tilting my head to the side I walk closer to me with Addi in my arms, "This 'family matter' you are talking about shouldn't be brought out in front of strangers then Sir. If I wanted to I could have reported you the night you didn't come to pick her up, I have rights as well...so if you want her to continue to come to MY daycare, don't speak to her the way you do in front of me."

Ruby gasped slightly at my tone towards him. I was mad at him about last night...I was made that he thought that I was so easy...that I would sleep with him, and I would let him treat me like complete shit after. 

Hunter clenched his jaw, "Don't talk to me like that,"

Keeping my gaze on him firmly I don't back down...Addi slightly squirmed in my arms, "Can I go play Mannat?" Leaning down I set her down on the ground, "Ruby would you take her to the other kids."

Ruby nodded taking her hand gently leading her away from us, "You have guts I gotta say that." He began, "But I think you are forgetting who you are talking to."

"Hunter Cloud, son of Flynn and Lydia Cloud right?" I ask pretending like I didn't know, "Older brother of Valencia and Sophia Cloud, father of Adira Cloud...thinks that he can get whatever he wants when he wants and he thinks that he can use any girl he wants and she will be totally okay with it."

Crossing his arms as I continued, "You are a criminal Hunter, that everyone's afraid of...not everyone girl likes that."

"Really?" He snapped, "Last night you seemed perfectly fine with making out with me."

"I had alcohol in my system." I snapped, "And if you're forgetting I said no when you first approached me, and I was the one who left." I didn't want to talk about last night...I was a mistake.

"But you gave in," He continued,

"It was a mistake," I said firmly, "And as a worker of this Daycare I would like it if someone else came to drop Adira off...you are a threat to the safety of the children here and if any other parent found out that you come here it would create a bad image. Just stay away from the Daycare."

I turned to leave but he stopped me, "Adira has Cloud blood in her too. Is she a threat?"

"She's two Hunter." I said, "I never said anything against her, I adore her...I said that you are not welcomed here."

Hunter began to walk towards me as I took steps back, "Why?"

"Excuse me?"

"Is it because I intimate you? Or is it because you have feel the tension between us too? What is it?" My back hit the wall giving him the perfect chance to cage me in. I tried to push him away but he wouldn't budge. 

"This is highly inappropriate Hunter, back off."

"Do I scare you Mannat?" He whispered leaning down, "Is that what it is..."

Irritated I look up at him, "I don't like you that's what it is. I don't like your attitude, I don't like the way you treat Adira, I don't like the way you treat girls. You are filled with hatred from head to toe, whenever I look in your eyes all I see is anger...I don't like people like you. That's what it is."

"You don't know me," He said firmly, "You only know what I let you see...but if you have already decided that you don't like me I can't do anything about that...but get one thing straight, Adira is my daughter, my responsibility...I have some rights to Ms. Caretaker as a legal guardian...I am going to keep dropping her off here and picking her up and if you have a problem with that too fucking bad."

"I-"

"See you at 7:00, Mannat" Hunter said quickly before leaving the building...I groan out of frustration, what is his problem!
