Phil had invited me to hang out with Dan again. My black eye and scrapes were almost gone, I felt happier because of that.

"Phil's dad is hilarious." Dan says with a giggle.

I've never met Phil's dad.

"You went to see his family?" I ask softly.

"Yeah I went over recently. It was great." Dan says. Phil laughs and he swings an arm around Dan's shoulder.

"You're welcome back anytime." Phil assures him.

"When will I meet your family?" I question him. We've been friends for two years, I think it's about time I meet them.

Phil looks a bit uneasy.

"Soon."
