I was walking home from work, passing past a lab that had collapsed a few days ago when i hear a soft cry. I stop, looking into the rubble," hello? Is anyone there?" A soft voice yells," yes! We're down here, we're trapped" a dark voice then cries out," Sonic Quiet, it could be those scientists!" The scientists trapped them here? Without hesitation i jump into the rubble," i'm no scientist, i'm a writer, i wish no one any harm, keep talking so i can get you out of this place and safe!" The dark voice says again," Silver? Any lies?" And a newer, more timid voice says," no, s-she's legit Shadow." I find the source of the rubble and i lift debris a bit and i see thier hole they're in, something blue yelling into the dark," Shadow! Help her, i don't think she can fully get it loose" something black pokes close to the hole says," you won't hurt us?" " why would i? Your trapped already, i don't care what you are, but you don't deserve to die trapped in here." The black one seemed convinced as i see the tips of white gloved hands poke out from under the concrete i held open and he groans as it suddenly pulls loose and makes an opening for them as i roll the concrete fully aside, seeing a black and red hedgehog, the red confined to stripes on his quills and he steps out, a blue hedgehog stepping out, carrying a white hedgehog, who's legs seem broken." Wow" is all i can say, smiling softly as they look around curiously and i manage to get my words back, saying," come on, lets get you three to safety so i can help your white friend." The dark one looks to the blue one as the blue one looks at me, none of them looked older then 5, but the blue one nods and the dark one says," ok, i'm Shadow, the blue one is Sonic and the white one is Silver, what's your name?" I smile and i say as i walk to the edge of the rubble," my names Sahara, but we're not gonna be walking where everyone can see you" i pull out a large jacket and i gently pull silver into it, wincing as he yelps in pain from his legs and i say," climb in, it's better then being exposed." The other two look to each other, while sonic shrugs and shadow groans and facepalms, they climb in and i quickly carry them to my home, which luckily wasn't far from the lab, and i lay down the jacket, letting them out and shadow asks," do you know how to help Silver?" I nod," i've had to help EMT's heal people before, i know alot about medical practices, resetting his legs should be easy, how'd you guys end up in that lab?" I go grab some stuff i have to work as makeshift casts, as sonic says," if we belonged anywhere else we don't know where, all of us have the same start, we woke up in that lab, all in the same room, and the scientists told us our names and put these collars on us, i don't know why though." I look over, noticing the black collars on all 3 of them and i say," likely a tracking device and a bit more. Probably a control collar to keep you guys in line. But i will totally get those off of you, you're too young looking to be controlled, how old are you all?" Silver answers this time," i'm 4, Sonic is 4, and shadow is a year older then him." I nod and i sit by silver and i focus." This is gonna hurt a bit, but i'll do what i can to ease the pain." Silver nods and grabs his friends hands, but they seemed more like brothers, that i can live with. I reset his legs carefully, softly letting my forest green eyes turn to an emerald green, and bright green healing magic flows down my bones and out into Silver, soothing the pain of the proccess as i finish wrapping his legs in really tight guaze and metal poles to keep his legs straight. Once i'm done it dims and i ask," how do you feel?" Silver smiles," better, thank you." I nod with a smile." Now for those collars, hold still while i get it off." Silver nods and i feel along the collar, finding the hinge and i focus, my eyes turning a deep and rich purple before i pull, shattering the collar instantly and i smile as i see silver relax and i turn asking," who wants it off next?" Sonic steps foward and i repeat the process, my eyes still a luminous purple as i then carefully remove shadows and shadow gasps, a slight glow appearing in his eyes and his fur turns red and i realize what that might have been for, to block abilities. I grab shadow and i help equalize his energies with my green healing magic, my eyes finally fading back to forest green and the red hue dims to black. Shadow sighs in relief." I think i need a more permanant way to contain that energy, that energy has gone off before." Sonic nods," it's a massive explosion of energy, but Shadow passed out after it exploded." I nod," i'll work on it. But for now, lets get some food for you guys, if you guys were really stuck in that collapse you all must be starving." The sudden brightening of all 3 sets of thier eyes said it all and i giggle at thier cuteness." Ok, ok i'm on it." I stand and i walk to the kitchen, deciding on a soup, since i have no idea what they're used to eating. It takes me almost an hour, but i finish the lovely soup and i ladle some into bowls, setting them on the table, and sonic helps silver stand and onto the couch, since i had set silvers there for his own safety till his legs start healing. I take a bite of the noodle soup i made and i smile as the others try it, and sonic's and silver's eyes light up as sonic downs the soup, and silver and shadow enjoy it comfortibly, silver yawning after he finishes. I go to a closet and i pull out some sleeping bags i had from ages ago, saying." I know it isn't much, unless you 3 wanna snuggle together on the couch, i have sleeping bags you guys can sleep in." And shadow says," we'll take the couch, but the sleeping bags are appreciated." I smile and nod, tossing them blankets and pillows," then these will do you better, i'll have to renovate a room to make into your guys bedroom, but thats a tommorow problem, and you 3 need sleep after such a big day." They all nod and sonic and shadow jump onto the couch to join silver. Such a precious trio, nobody will harm them on my watch.
