Sahara's pov
The threesome grew just as i thought, strong and determined, thier powers only growing the more they practiced and grew, Sonic and Shadow now break the sound barrier with some effort, and silver can now lift things 5 times his weight, even a semi truck with full focus. Shadow is 11, and the other two are 10, but i cannot wait to see what they grow up to be, sonic has a passion to help others, all 3 want to be firefighters, esspecially since sonic and shadow can put out the fire with superspeed. They train almost every day, but all 3 of them seem to have stopped growing at about 3'6, and other kids have noticed,not letting the trio be with anybody due to thier short height. Not that they seem to care, it seems thier brotherhood is all they seem to want or need, that and me, i've oftenly been tackled into family hugs. They're great, shadow course seems to a bit of a closed book, they all seem to remember what happened to them before i met them well, but won't come to me about it, silver is a timid child, but loves to learn more about the past. I only hope that whatever happened in the lab is well and past them. I just want them to live normal lives, free of pain that humans inflict on others, but i guess i can't hide them forever.
Sonic's pov
I zoom around the small country town, feeling the wind in my fur and quills, it felt like pure freedom. I run for what feels like hours when i hear crying, causing me to stop and i look around, i'm somewhere in the town, not even a jog away from home, when i see a boy about my age running away from something, i break into a run again and i say." Hey kid, need a hand?" The kid sees me and nods, stopping and saying." Bad man tried to take me from my family, i barely escaped just now, where am i?" The poor kid, reminds me of us before we met Sahara." Is he still following?" The kid flinches as i hear a man yelling. Yep, still coming. I scoop up the boy in my arms and i say to him.
" hang on kid, lets get you to safety." He smiles and clasps his arms tightly around my neck, gripping one of my quills, i smirk and i launch off, careful to keep it within car speeds so the boy doesn't get hurt. Stopping at home, setting the boy down and saying." Wait here, i'm gonna go get my mom and brothers, they'll be able to help, are you hurt at all?" He shakes his head, but relaxes and i smile, zipping off to the house." Mom! Come quick! There's something you need to see!" She comes out quickly with shadow and silver in tow and she asks," what is it sonic?" " i found a kid running from a bad man, he isn't hurt, but he's lost, so i brought him here." She gasps, coming over and asking," where is the boy? Did he see you?" " he did mom, but i couldn't just let him get caught again, besides, i'm too fast for any human." I say with confidence and she chuckles and i pull her to where i left the boy, my brothers getting curious and following quickly behind me. I go over to the boy as he looks up, his dirty hair matted down and mom sits with him saying," it's ok, i'm here to help, can you tell me your name?" I smile and nod to the kid and he says," i'm Richard, what are your guys names?" I smile and say," i'm Sonic, the black hedgehog is my older brother Shadow, the the white hedgehog is my younger brother Silver." Richard smiles and mom says," I'm Sahara, but mom to these 3. Do you remember your family's number? I bet they're really worried about you" she gently holds out a hand to richard and richard nods and grabs onto it, being pulled to his feet and we all head inside. sahara handing richard her phone, already unlocked, and the kid goes straight to the calling app, while silver taps my shoulder and i look over, and he points off to our room. I get up and follow him and shadow shuts the door, asking." How did you even find the kid?" " i dunno, i just heard crying and stopped right where he happened to be, he ran right past me, so i went to catch up, and the kid told me what happened, so i immeadiatly thought to bring him to mom. Since she helped us find a home, i figured she'd be able to get him home." Shadow nods," did whoever was following the boy catch up?" I shake my head," no way, i hightailed it out of there at highway speeds, he stood no chance against me." Silver chuckles," that is true you have to admit shadow, Sonic could've tore out there at speeds no human could dare reach." Shadow chuckles and nods," point taken Silver, i just hope the kid doesn't blab about us. We already have enough trouble hiding in school." " he won't Shads, i can tell, the poor kid wouldn't want the one who saved him hurt right?" " your way of knowing how people are is so strange sonic." Silver remarks and i chuckle," maybe it's a secret power of mine, like how you always seem to know what others are thinking." Silver smiles and nods," course shadow's just the edgelord." " you take that back sonic" " make me older brother" i say challenging him and i launch off, with shadow tearing right behind me, so i move our scuffle to the walls and celing, both of us perfectly keeping our momentum and i laugh while shadow growls, and silver shakes his head in disbelief.
Meanwhile
Sahara's pov
Richard finishes the call with his mom, crying and i gently place tissues by him and i say," you'll be home soon, how far is your home?" Not far, i live in the nearby city." I nod," so your mom?" " she says she'll be here before sundown at the earliest." I nod with a smile and he says," she hasn't hung up yet if you want to talk to her?" I nod and i take the phone and put it to my ear," hello, i'm Sahara, the mom that found your son, although one of my boys found him first." " thank you so much for finding him, when he didn't come home i was so worried, your boy is a hero for helping him." " i'll be sure to tell him that. I'll see you soon i guess, i'm the farmhouse on Eldest way, and if you get lost, just ask for the home of the triplets, everybody would be able to point you here." Thank you so much, i'll see you soon." She hangs up and i turn off the phone, sitting beside richard and i say," y'know, nobody can know what my boys are and what they can do, can you promise to keep the hedgehog brothers a secret?" He nods," i will, besides, Sonic saved my life, it's the least i can do." I smile and i hug the kid.
