Sahara's pov
A few weeks had passed and Silver's legs were all but healed, and i had been teaching the trio about normal life, and it hadn't been hard to discover sonic's speed, as the next morning the instant he smelled bacon he bolted up and slammed into me at a hyperspeed blur. Toppling me to the ground but i just laughed it off, and shadows power was much more explosive, while he had sonic's speed, the problem was once he started running, it was seriously hard to stop, sonic found that by picking up shadow it usually stopped him in his tracks. So i got to work designing a pair of skates that would help him to control his speed, as well as a pair of inhibitor rings to help him control his energy, and i sent them to an engineering friend i have, her skills being amazing with tech and she said she'd send them over today. If silver had a special ability, it has yet to show itself. Theres a knock on the door and the trio of hedgies instantly hide. I go open the door and i see my enginneer friend and she smiles," hello there! I got those inventions for you, and they'll grow to fit the user, but why do you need them?" I chuckle," i'll tell you when i'm allowed to, just trust me on this." I gently take the skates and gold rings." Oh ok, well when your ready let me know! I'll be around if they need modifications or repairing, just try not to get the skates wet and you'll be fine." I nod," thanks Rachel! Thank you so much!" I close the door as she leaves and i sigh," you all can come out." They come out of thier hiding spot, shadow coming closer," are those for me?" I nod," to help you better control your abilities. The rings should keep you from exploding and the skates will help the inability to stop for now." Shadow smiles and i help him put these on, the red cufflinks popping out, showing they're active. Shadow's eyes light up with excitement, before we head out to a nearby park, a nearby area we had picked out to train them in thier abilities, as shadow slowly starts running, only to realize that the shoes were too cumbersome for proper running, so i put on rollerblades, and i show him the motion. It takes him a few seconds, but he quickly adjusts to the movement of the skates and takes off, sonic zooming after him and silver runs, but just doesn't have the speed and he groans. I sit with the fustrated silver and i ask," you really wanna keep up with them huh?" He nods, saying timidly," yes, i want to be powerful like them! Sonic aparently can run and shadow has to have limiters just to keep from exploding and skates to help him stop..... i have none of that, i can't even keep up." He looks down, upset and i softly hug the young hedgie," you'll find a way, who knows, maybe you have a genius mind or your powers are just harder to activate then physical abilities." " what do you mean miss Sahara?" " there are many powers besides speed, you could manipulate water, or something that requires using your brain rather then your muscles." He seems to think about it, and nods, cheering back up." Ok! I will find my power! No matter how long it takes!" Standing up, the kid looks so confident that i can't help but silently gush over his adorable determination, but i nod," and i'll do what i can to help, just no throwing yourself into danger to find your hidden power, please." He nods and hugs me, saying brightly," i will mom!" I heard that and my heart melted, slightly shocked, i hug back, saying," good cutie, now how about we go track your brothers down before they get too far and get lost?" Silver nods and i hit a button on my keychain, and in seconds both shadow and sonic stop in front of me and i turn off the button, giggling at thier suprised faces and i say," i had Rach install the call beacon to call shadow at least, glad he grabbed you too sonic, lets get home you three, i bet you're all hungry, besides, tommorow you two get to help silver with discovering his powers." All three cheer as we get in the car and head home.
