Sonic's pov
I sit up in the morning, rushing out and i water the tree, it having grown signifigatly, and mom was planning on putting it in the ground any day now. But now, school, all 3 of us go to school daily, disguising our quills in specalized hats, and no speed or any powers during school, sure it was boring sometimes, but it was worth it. I quickly pull on my hat, making me look like i had blue crazy hair rather then shiny quills, shadows being black and red striped, and silvers being white, i get changed as well and mom yells," kiddo's, breakfast!" I grab silver as he finishes and we blur out to the dining room and silver says," sonic you really have got to stop that! It makes my stomach turn!" " sonic stop dragging Silver along at superspeeds, you know he doesn't like it." Mom says as she hands me sausage corndogs, silver gets cereal with his abilities and shadow does toast. Once we're all done we grab our bags and head off, walking to the bus station. It's not a long walk, but it feels much longer when you're used to going fast all the time. Time moves slower for some reason, i'd have to ask my teachers about it. we stop at the bus stop, staying close to each other. Although we never had much problems, we always chose to stick together, somehow Silver and i proved smart enough to be in Shadow's class even, so there was no way we would be split up. We get to our favorite seat on the bus and relax, since we were all so small, we 3 fit on the same seat. The day goes by and we finally get to all of our favorite class, Gym, where we all can be a bit closer to who we really are. We change in stalls quickly, all 3 of us wearing leggings to keep our fur hidden, as well as an undershirt, we walk into the gym, i take off, keeping it under superspeed limits, but it's really hard, so i stop before i start becoming a blur, shadow stopping with me and silver catches up." Finally somewhere i can actually keep up with you two!" Silver says and shadow and i chuckle at our younger brother. We prepare for flag football, a game all 3 of us excel at, the teacher had tried seperating us, but shadow and i would just let silver's team win, or i would let shadow slip right past me, so the teacher gave and let us stay together as our own team. We put on our flags, and head out to the field and shadow waves for us to huddle and i bolt over." Whats the plan this time Shads?" " Silver will be the distraction, i'll get the ball and throw it to him, Silver if you need to use your powers to boost yourself. Start running, but then drop the ball and sonic will run in, catch it, and keep moving, by then i'll be at the endzone, so sonic can throw it or pass to me and we'll have the win." All 3 of nod and we place our fists against the other, and yell," Brothers Unite!" Before getting ready, i drop into a running position alongside shadow, silver standing between us two, and when the horn goes off, we're off, silver running with me, and i boost ahead as i see the ball flying, turning and i slide next to silver, catching the ball with ease before leaping up and throwing it to shadow at the endzone, my flags falling off a second after shadow steps over the end with a boys hand tightly gripping the flags. I laugh, pointing to shadow." Good game, but we win." The kids groan and give back my flags, shadow's strategies rarely loose, but then again, the kids are too slow to catch the fastest things in the country. Shadow comes over laughing." Thats way too easy sometimes" i nod," yeah, should we let them win one? To make it a fun tie." Silver nods," yes! Lets do it!" Shadow laughs," alright, this time, make it believeable, steal the ball a few times, trip once or twice, but not too often." I nod to shadow and we break, after all, it's no fun to just endlessly win, we stand against our team of 3 kids, the horn goes off and we launch off, shadow running with the ball when a kid tackles silver! I turn around and i go to rush for silver when i'm punched in the stomach, causing me to gasp in pain, but i get to my feet." Stop, get off of Sil!" I see shadow shove the kid off to see a terrified, half crushed silver, i flip over the kid who had me and i run over, gasping as i hold my stomach, checking over silver." You ok little bro?" Silver nods," y-yeah, j-just winded, you?" "Same, punch to the stomach, i won't be suprised if it bruises, shad, calm down, we're all good." Shadow hears me and relaxes, taking a deep breath, and letting it out. I stand, my breath coming back, shadow looks back and he pulls silver to his feet, and pulls silver's hat back into place." Lets go, you two are hurt, can you guys walk?" I nod and so does silver, and we all walk away, and the teacher comes over," what are you doing? You can't leave in the middle of class" " my brothers got hurt, a couple of kids were sore losers, so we're going to the office to see if we can go home." "You guys should go to the nurse first." " no! We're going home!" Shadow says strictly and we follow behind him. The teacher didn't dare try to stop him, more looking at him confused. His anger pulsed in his energy and the edges of his fur turn red." Shadow calm down, you're about to Blast again." Silver says and shadow stops, calming himself down as his energy calms down," sorry guys, but when i saw you both get hurt, it took all i could to control myself." I nod," it's ok Shads, but i guess we definatly should call mom, which one of us though?" Silver raises his hand as well as shadow and i chuckle," ok, you two know what to do, rock paper scissors" the two turn and do so, me overseeing, they both do the chant, and silver comes out with scissors while shadow comes out with paper, and silver uses his hand scissors to clip shadows hand made paper, and i laugh, wincing a bit before saying," Silver gets to tell her. Besides, my ribs hurt, so i'm not gonna talk much." Shadow nods and we head to the office and shadow asks to call our mom, and silver starts the call and we sit together and i hear mom's voice say," hello?" Silver responds," hey mom, we want to come home, some kids hurt sonic and i because we won our game once, we were planning on letting them win too, but they hurt us before the game ended." " oh my, ok, i'm coming to get you three." She hangs up and silver goes and gives the phone back. Mom soon bursts through the door and comes over, her wings wrapped in a large jacket as she kneels down." You guys ok?" We nod," we didn't expect them to get so rough after one fun round." She nods and i point to my chest and she carefully feels it, and i wince, and she focuses, healing my injury and i sigh in relief, then she stops and checks over silver, and healing what she could." Ok, i did what i could, do you 3 wanna go home or continue the day?" I look to a thoughtful shadow, and he asks us," i won't do anything without you two by my side, so what do you say?" " i say we continue, after all, those kids were bullies, just like the scientists, if we just ran, then they'll only get worse." Silver nods with me and says," lets do it, but do we always have to hide what we really look like? It's tiring and itchy." She nods," unfortunatly you guys do, humans will never understand what we really are. I had to hide for most of my life when my wings grew in, but do know that your powers have purpose, they can help when the situation is right, so remember that you can be more then me. You three are the craziest people i've ever met, and i'll always be grateful for that." We all nod, smiling and standing, mom turns and leaves, likely heading home and we go back to class, finishing gym by just running around the track, shadow skating, course not at superspeed speeds, just a relaxing running pace.
The day soon ends and we go to walk home, taking off our hats, silver carefully lifts himself into the air, and we zoom along the ground.
